Hampton Inn St. Albans

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was nice, clean, and warm. The breakfast was good. The parking garage is directly behind the hotel.

Didnt like having to pay for parking

The place would of receive a 4-5 star overall except it didn’t deserve that but a low star rating only because of the inside of the pool was very filthy it needed scrubbing & cleaning & the water was cloudy, the hallways where the rooms are located were filthy please take care other than that it’s a nice hotel

The hot breakfast was really nice. The pool was too warm and felt like a hot tub and the heating turned on in our bedroom in the middle of the night. Staff were OK not the friendliest.

The parking garage didn’t feel very safe especially after dark. And the hotel was rather pricey for what it was.

Best, cleanest gym I have used in a hotel in a long time. Staff members were very friendly. Breakfast with options. Make sure to get your parking ticket validated to save a few dollars. If back in St Albans, I would stay here again. You will likely hear the trains, but nothing a light white noise app on your phone can’t block out. The hotel itself was very quiet.

Perfectly adequate accommodations in a fantastic location in downtown St Albans City historic district. Extremely convenient. Staff helpful. Hallway and room carpet needs cleaning. Breakfast is great. Parking very close by as well and complimentary. Will stay again when next in St Albans.

Me and my husband biked the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, we did 70 miles and it took us 12 hrs. to arrive at the hotel. We were exhausted and I was hoping for a nice, clean, and friendly hotel when we got there. I have not always had the best experiences with hotels so I didn't get my hopes up to high. The hotel exceeded my expectations! The hotel was beautiful! The staff were all very kind and helpful. The entire hotel was very clean and inviting. When we entered our room you could smell how clean it was. The bedding was fresh and clean and the pillows and bed were very comfortable. I wanted to go for a swim in there pool but was to tired, I did check it out though. The pool and deck area was very clean and the water felt very warm. We both slept well and the next morning we enjoyed the best continental breakfast ever!! They had a huge selection of breakfast foods and drinks and all of it was amazing. It was very clean and organized and kept fully stocked, including the coffee and tea bar. We needed to rent a car to get back home and the staff went above and beyond helping us find a rental. You can't have such and amazing establishment without great employees so kudos to all of the staff at the Hampton Inn in St. Albans!! We were on a time restraint so we weren't able to enjoy their beautiful pool or get out and explore St. Albans so when I save up some extra money I will be back to relax by their pool and explore the city. Thank you Hampton Inn staff for your hard work!!

L’hôtel est quand même bien entretenu mais nous avons été déçu de la propreté au début au niveau de la douche et toilettes où on a retrouvé des poils et cheveux. Aussi une serviette de bain était mal lavé. Sans parlé de la télécommande complètement degueulasse! Mais après partagé mon mécontentement à la réception, ils ont refait le ménage et nous étions rassuré. Le reste était bien, le déjeuner aussi. Amusant de faire ses gaufres, il y a aussi des œufs à la coq, gruau, pâtisserie, pain, baguel et céréales ainsi que toujours un choix d’aliments chauds qui varient de jour en jour (œuf, saucisses, patates.. et ). La piscine n’est pas la plus merveilleuse mais elle a fait l’affaire! On en a profité. Le stationnement derrière nous a un peu insécurisé. Disons que seule je n’irais pas passé 21h. Même chose pour marcher dans les rues, on a apprécié d’être rentré pas trop tard. Il faut dire que j’étais seule avec mes filles dans un endroit qu’on connaît peu donc préférable d’être plus prudente que moins. Mais somme toute nous étions satisfaites mes filles et moi. Et je recommande car compte tenu du prix c’était bien. Et le personnel était gentil et j’ai vu plusieurs personnes travailler pour l’entretien ménager tout est bien propre partout dans l’hôtel.

I requested adjoining rooms and this requirement could not be met. I also found leftover food in the fridge from the previous guest when checking into my room.

Very friendly staff. Room wasn’t that clean though. Bed didn’t seem fully made. Found some hair in the bathroom etc. it’s a very basic hotel and I can understand why it was ~ $400 a night, but we were in a jam. Breakfast looked pretty good. Waffle iron seemed tough for some to get the waffle out. Coffee was not that hot, but there’s a great little espresso place right across the street.

Didn't like the fact that there is a fridge in the room, but no microwave.

The staff was excellent. Air conditioner in the room was very loud and made sleeping difficult. The water pressure was not good.

We were very pleased with staying here. Pool was excellent and very warm. Room spacious and modern. Great location - easy to walk to nearby restaurants.

First class rooms, overall property shows more then expected-

We had a great stay I St Albans. The beds were awful. It felt like a sumo wrestler slept on the bed for 10 years and then donated the mattress to the Hampton Inn. The sliding doors in the bathroom suck for privacy when traveling with a family of 4. The faucet on the side of the sink are crappy too. They make a mess on the counter because there is not enough overhang

I did not like the fact there were no microwaves in the rooms, you had to go to the lobby to warm up food. It took forever because there was a line.

Hotel is nicely outfitted with lovely furniture. Bathrooms are particularly wonderful and efficiently laid-out.

The check in staff were very helpful. The room was clean. Looks like the bathroom had been recently redone. the only complaint was the blackout curtains were not found by us and the room faced the parking garage. Had a very bright room all night.

Trains run and blow their horns all times of the day and night. I'm not a light sleeper but these woke me up at 4am and 11:30pm. Staff is lovely, hotel itself is nice but I think I'll stay elsewhere next time I'm in town- further from the tracks.

The front desk staff was helpful and courteous, as well as efficient. The room was clean and well-appointed, the parking was excellent, and I liked being able to walk everywhere I needed to go. The breakfast far surpassed any that I have ever had as a free offering at a hotel. I will stay there again when I return to the area next year!

Le concierge nous a attribués une chambre deja occupée on arrive on ouvre avec nos carte et ya quelqu'un dans la chambre😒! On redescend elle nous redonne une autre chambre et la dans le lit il yavais des cheveux je redescend pour des draps elle me l'apporte elle était visiblement pressé jai dû changer les draps moi meme. Petit déjeuner pas mal faut arriver tôt sinon apres ya plus rien.

We had a wonderful stay! The front desk employees (Doug and Alex) were super helpful and friendly. The staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. The room, pool and gym were clean. Overall, great stay!

We had an issue with our reservation and the man at the front desk, Doug, was amazing in terms of his patience and trying to help us sort it out with Hotels.com. In the end, it was rectified and Doug couldn’t have been more accommodating and trying to please. Kudos to him. The only negative I have is that the beds are a little hard for my liking, but I’m sure others would like them.

Employees gave each other attitude and then gave my daughter attitude when she visited me during my stay, even rented out the meeting room for her birthday, no one came and serviced my room. Ended up dumping garbage myself multiple times. Terrible experience.

Clean hotel, great location within short walking distance of all kinds of restaurants and shops. The only thing I did not like was the front desk clerk said both of the credit/debit card skimmers on the counter were not working and I would have to hand her my card for her to process my transaction when I checked in. I do not like handing my card to people, I like the security of a skimmer and swiping the card myself.

The gentleman who checked us in on Sat11/1 was extremely friendly, helpful and professional!

the hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area. Easy to walk to the stores and restaurants.

Easy location in St Albans city. Pay to park but only $4 a day. Friendly staff! Very nice cafe & coffe shops across the street i highly recommend

We stay at this property whenever visiting family in the area. the hotel is always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's right in downtown St. Albans and very walkable. Near stores, restaurants, etc.

Location was very convenient to the Amtrak station (easy walking distance). Great breakfast options.

We loved staying here, the staff was super friendly and helpful! We enjoyed swimming in the little pool (which was so warm) and getting hot cocoa in the evening in the lobby. Also the complimentary breakfast was great! Hot options as well as cold and tons to choose from. I would definitely stay here again!

Staff was courteous. Room was very clean and quiet and well-appointed. Nice location. Five minute walk (or less) from the Amtrak station. Good breakfast (plenty of protein). Pleasant dining area. I have worked in Hospitality in the past so I know what to look for. I will definitely choose this hotel again, next time I am in St. Albans.

Property is nice. Rooms are nice. Very clean. Breakfast is good but always one choice or another. No variety. Kids will like it. Honestly, it would be nice if they offered more amenities. I paid more this trip, for the room alone, than ever before! I didn’t feel it was entirely worth it. The rooms are bare. The microwaves are now only in the lobby and I am a Hilton honors member. I was hoping for some bottled water. However, the people are always kind, informative, professional, and they all work hard. I appreciate them! I am sad to say, I did not feel as safe as I have in the past due to the change in element. It would be nice if they had a security guard, especially in or near the parking garage at night. I really felt as though I had to be on my toes… more than usual.

The room was great clean and very comfortable. The front desk was very polite and accommodating. The hot breakfasts was the only disappointment. The food was just wrong I have never seen white sausage patties and the gravy looked like warm milk

I expect a clean room and comfortable bed. That should be any hotel. The breakfast was awful, eggs were cold and funny taste, bacon tasted like cardboard. Parking is not free, $4 per day. It was close to everything but not really in the best area.

I always enjoy my stay here. My only complaints are that breakfast was burnt one day and the room was chilly. Otherwise wonderful! Love the staff!
