Ryokan Plum

I stayed at 5 different accommodations during my visit to Japan, and Ryokan Plum was by far my favourite - it was a shame that I could only stay for one night! I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone visiting the Hakone/Odawara area.

Great Japanese home, cleanand great location

Ryokan Plan in Odawara is a wonderful place to stay. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating, explaining everything clearly about the rooms and the stay. The building itself is over 100 years old, which gives it a really special atmosphere. We stayed in a Japanese Style Room and honestly couldn’t recommend it more – it was such a unique experience, even though we only spent one night there. The location is also great, just about 10 minutes from the station and close to Odawara Castle. As a fun extra, we were given the chance to try traditional Japanese-style pajamas, which made the stay even more memorable. We would really like to thank Ryokan Plan for this amazing experience and we hope we’ll have the chance to come back one day.

I really love the amenities provided and the overall vibe of the ryokan, which is welcoming and calm the second I step into the property.

This was the perfect spot for our trip in Odawara! Not only are the staff incredibly kind and accommodating, they provide small touches that make their guests feel welcome, like inviting us to sit for tea upon arrival, the 24/7 complementary coffee/tea and the cozy pajamas. Just a short walk to everything we wanted! Under 10 minutes to many izakaya options for dinner, 24 hour onsen, train station and Odawara Castle!
