Hôtel emblématique de Marseille quelque peu décevant. Un bâtiment historique qui manque de charme. La terrasse extérieure avec du faux gazon et le manque de soin apporté aux plantes. À cela l’absence de piscine extérieure est un vrai handicap pour ce type d’établissement. Les finitions dans les chambres sont aussi très approximatives avec un papier peint qui se décolle ou bien déchiré…. Le vrai plus c’est le service et l’amabilité du personnel tant à l’accueil, lors du petit dej ou bien les voituriers.

Préambule: on parle du 5 étoiles le plus cher de marseille En bref: beau batiment, vue inéxistante, équipe ok, petit déjeuner decevant, parking prohibitif. Spa et piscine à revoir. 1- Batiment magnifique, historique et très grand donc dites vous que vous allez marcher onguement dans le batiment dès que vous vous déplacer. 2- Déjeuner pas à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles et du prix demandé. Salle de petit déjeuner au rdc devant le parking avec aucune vue sauf pour une table. Le service se covoiturier gare les voitures devant les fenètres de la salle de petit dejeuner!!! Donc petit déjeuner avec vu sur les voitures de la clientèle. 3- le service de voiturier : Ils entassent les voitures toute la journée sur le parvis de l'hotel??? Sérieusement, je ne comprends pas l'interet de réserver dans un cadre hotelier sympathique pour y voir des voitures entassées devant sur plusieures rangées et colonne façon tetris?!?! 4- le service: à notre arrivée, notre chambre était préparée pour 4 personnes avec le canapé demonté en lit alors que nous avions fait une reservation pour 2 personnes, il a fallu le rappelé 2 fois à l'acceuil et attendre 24H pour que la chambre soit remise en ordre alors que ce lit suplémentaire prends une place considérable dans la chambre....... 5- avis aux amateurs, l'accès hammam et sauna c'est en plus et pas précisé sur Hotels.co 6- la piscine est à 25 degres et pourtant ce n'est pas une piscine de nage... une piscine de spa à moins de 30 degres ne sert à rien...

Je ne comprends pas les 5 étoiles de cet hôtel. Alors oui la literie est plutôt quali et la vue est sympa , mais impossible de manger un truc sucré dans la journée , la piscine est risible , aucun espace extérieur pour bronzer, on se sent mal à l ´aise de passer dans la cours extérieur en peignoir pour aller au spa. Niveau entretien : Les angles dans la salle de bain sont sales. Le restaurant est mauvais . Le mi cuit de thon trop cuit , les associations sont douteuses , le ceviche est plus un carpaccio… bref je connais mieux à Marseille avec une étoile de moins. Par contre si, le jus de pomme a 12€ ou le verre de vin à 15€ ou encore le Perrier 33cl a 8€ sont bien 5 étoiles. D’ailleurs revenons à la piscine . En 3 heures j’ai vu personne passer pour nettoyer, une cliente à du passer la raclette . Aussi dans la chambre vous trouverez des choses du genres ( chocolats chauds offerts ) mais rien a disposition. Idem pour tout ce qui est snack on a bien une carte des prix mais pas les produits 😂

The only thing this hotel has going for it is great views. Service and facilities were dismal. My balcony had cigarette butts and matches all over the floor. I called and asked them to clean it when they cleaned my room. They cleaned up some but left others. I asked to talk to the manager and it finally got cleaned. The fitness room felt like an oven. It was so hot and stuffy, I didn’t even work out. The pool doesn’t look like the photos. It’s a small pool in a dark basement. When we checked in, we weren’t told anything. Had to even ask where the elevator was. And they didn’t tell me they were charging my credit card $900 for incidentals, instead of holding it like every other hotels does. It was credited after checkout but for anyone who pays interest on their card, or is reaching their credit limit, this could be a problem. Lastly, the taxi the concierge arranged to pick us up to go to the airport came 20 minutes late. The man on duty didn’t seem concerned; just said, “Oh you have time.” This Intercontinental Hotel acted like it was a 3 star hotel.

Hotellet ligger i en utroligt flot bygning på en rigtig god beliggenhed tæt på den gamle havn med kig til havnen og udsigt Notre-Dame de la Garde. Lobbyområdet er også meget flot og stiligt. Værelser er OK med god skabs- og skuffeplads og er stort fint badeværelse med både badekar og bruser. Desværre var der en svedagtigt lugt i værelset, som vi ikke kunne slippe af med, selvom vi luftede meget ud. Der var også en svag jordslået lugt på badeværelset. Kvaliteten af hotellets bar og restaurant er gennemsnitligt og prisniveau er alt for højt i forhold til kvaliteten. Servicen fra hotelpersonalet var generelt god, men det haltede ved morgenmaden. Der var for lidt personale og individuelle bestillinger af omelet mv. var meget længe under vejs. En dag ventede vi i 30 minutter. To dage kom det bestilte aldrig. Kvaliteten af buffeten var gennemsnitlig.

The property was supposedly a five star hotel, however, I was very disappointed in the room. We arrived in our room to find 2 pastries on the side table that were covered in ants. There were hundreds of small ants. Also, there were hairs in the bathroom and it wasn’t clean. The room was small and did not have high end finishes. We were assigned to another room on a lower floor. I was expecting at least a small upgrade for the inconvenience, but we were given a similar room on a lower floor. Do not expect a five star experience at this hotel.

Si l’Intercontinental est un magnifique bâtiment, il s’agit plus d’un 4 étoiles qu’un 5 étoiles. Nous avions pris une chambre avec vue sur la Bonne Mère : certes la vue était belle. Mais : la tête de lit était lacérée, la baignoire avec des coups, et le must, un sac plastique derrière le rideau. La propreté et l’état global de la chambre sont largement à revoir. Pour le reste (services, disponibilités du personnel, situation de l’hôtel) rien à dire c’était parfait.

The man on duty didn’t seem concerned; just said, “Oh you have time.” This Intercontinental Hotel acted like it was a 3 star hotel.

This is a beautiful, centrally located hotel in a historic building. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay in Marseille. Because of the size and age of the building, the air conditioning wasn’t quite as cold as I would’ve like but I otherwise have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. Get a room with a balcony if you can - it’s worth it!

Great location. Well maintained property. Excellent staff and service. Extremely comfortable beds. Unfortunately, on previous trips to Marseille, we opted for hotels located directly on the port instead of the Intercontinental. We now know that was a mistake and will always try to stay at the Intercontinental. While it is not directly on the port, it is superior to all the properties that are in terms of service, staff, and quality.

The hotel is very good overall. The only problem we had was the taxi reservations. We asked the concierge to reserve a taxi for us, once to go to the restaurant and the other time to go to the airport. Both times the taxi was late, especially the driver of the airport service didn't show up and we had to call for a new one. We almost missed the flight.

I expected a 5-star experience at InterContinental Marseille, but was sorely disappointed. Upon arrival, no one assisted with luggage, and the check-in felt more like a 3 star hotel. We checked into our room and immediately noticed several issues: tools left behind, a crooked TV, and an unclean bathroom. We tried to contact reception, but no one answered. Meanwhile, we waited 45 minutes for our luggage to arrive. It was only when the bellman came with our luggage and we informed him of the room's condition that he managed to get reception to contact us to be moved to another room. Later we contacted room service for some ice, only to be told it would take 30-40min. In the end I just went down myself to get ice from the bar. Seriously 40min for ICE? I booked this hotel mainly for the spa, which turned out to be mediocre, not matching the allure of its promotional videos. The bellman's friendliness and local knowledge were a small bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. InterContinental Marseille needs to seriously reconsider its 5-star rating if it continues to offer service that is more in line with a 3 star establishment. I would not recommend this hotel for those seeking a luxury experience.

Phenomenal Hotel. The Staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful, and our suite was very comfortable. All of the staff were smiling and gracious. Luca at the concierge was truly hospitable. He gave great recommendations and was always willing to help. Genuinely friendl and sincere. More concierges should give service like him. Lea at the reception was also quite friendly and welcoming. We appreciated her. This is a true gem of a hotel. Highly recommend.

Frühstück ist schlecht organisiert, immer fehlt etwas. Es liegt nicht am Personal selbst, die versuchen alles. Die Organisation dahinter paßt nicht. Immer mußte man nach Kaffee fragen, Teller fehlten, Butter etc. Abends an der Bar die Weine waren ihr Geld nicht wert. Einfache Weine zu den Kursen paßt nicht zu dem tollen Hotel. Die Umgebung der Altstadt ist toll. Die Zimmer sind perfekt, alle geben sich Mühe.

Bad experience! The hotel is definitely not a 5-star hotel. It's simple and comfortable, but definitely not 5-star. Terrible room service just after midnight. Staff suggested I order fast food delivery (in a hotel that claims to be 5-star). At lunch, the staff suggested we eat outside the restaurant because it would take a while! Unbelievable! Don't stay here! I don't recommend it and I will never return. The building is beautiful on the outside, but that's about it. Inside, it's been renovated with poor decor! Experiência ruim! Petite escapade mère fille dans un très bel endroit! Nous avons dîné sur place et ce fût incroyable. Le petit déjeuner est servi sur la terrasse et avons pu profité d une matinée très ensoleillée en dégustant des plats délicieux. Très belle chambre spacieuse avec un accueil tout particulier pour notre cocker 😉

Très belle chambre spacieuse avec un accueil tout particulier pour notre cocker 😉

Overall everything fine. Would have been good, if the luggage had followed us to the room, as we got worried where it would end up. It came ten minutes later.
