Absolutely stunning hotel. It’s worth noting that some facilities are only open in the summer season. The outdoor pool is open from April onwards and they have a kids’ pool but it’s not well signposted. The indoor pool costs extra as it’s part of the spa but it’s sooooo good. The kids’ club doesn’t allow adults to stay and my 3-year-old didn’t enjoy it for that reason. Older kids will enjoy it.

Enjoyable stay at HW Polynesia. The hotel is nice but starting to get somewhat dated. The pool area very nice, and the water park (not at the hotel but close by - free shuttle bus takes you to pedestrian bridge to access the water park but you can also walk there in approx 10min). Quality of the food varied at the buffet restaurant but the breakfast was usually really good. The focus on candy and sweets at the restaurant a bit overwhelming, though. All in all a pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time at the hotel. If we were to visit again I think we would opt for the HW Village.

Beautiful hotel with a nice pool. Very child-friendly and all activities minded on kids. Rooms are big and the all-inclusive buffet is reasonably good (such buffets will never be michelin class but they did a fairly good job). Biggest minus for the buffet is poor marking of allergens. With all inclusive there is also access to a very nice waterpark with very nice facilities but water being a bit chilly (they have a toddler friendly section with slightly warmer water though). The hotel is located close to the sea and the beach but otherwise there is not too much to do and see around. There are bus connections to nearest cities though. It is not clear that they have any environmental initiatives or considerations for recycling.

Jeg var generelt veldig skuffet. Det var ingen informasjonen at tilgang til badelandet like ved som skulle være inkludert i prisen var stengt deler av året. Det samme gjald hotellets utebasseng. Inne basenget (spa) måte man betale ekstra for å ganske dyrt i tillegg. Vann kvalitet var så dårlig at vi porto oss sykdom som følge av bading der. Veldig stor og veldig tomt hotel.

We recently stayed at the Polynesia Hotel in Malaga and were impressed by several aspects of the experience. The hotel itself is stunning—beautiful architecture, very well maintained, and extremely clean throughout. These are spread out over five buildings and a very hilly area, although a free shuttle bus is available to help guests get around. The food was outstanding—great variety, excellent quality, and well-organised service in the restaurants. However, the entertainment was a major disappointment. For a hotel with 328 rooms, there is only one entertainment room in the evening for all guests. This space is shared by everyone, including families with young children, meaning there's no separate adults-only area if you're looking for a quieter experience. Entertainment consisted mostly of the same singer each night, with some variety acts on the weekend—but only for an hour or so. There was also no kids' club in operation during our stay, which left both children and adults bored in the evenings. Another issue was the complete lack of information in the rooms—no welcome booklet, no guidance on local transport (like bus times), hotel facilities, or entertainment. Formule all inclusive sommaire car 2 restaurants étaient fermé donc uniquement buffet. Les cocktails sont fait a l'avance et beaucoup trop sucré et mal dosés...la chambre est usé par rapport au photos, l'accès à l'aquaparc est super loin et un grosse côte à monter, pas d'accès direct a la plage 1km a faire a pied...le restaurant buffet est bruyant ça crie et ça court vers les buffets dans tous les sens c'est vraiment....horrible...enfin l'environnement est très bétonné peu d'espace vert.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Leider wird am Essen gespart. Die Getränke waren tendenziell eher billig und zu süß. Beim Essen gab es Höhen und Tiefen. Nach ein paar Tagen weiß man, was man nicht essen sollte.

Mooie grote accommodatie. Ruime suite met mooi uitzicht, ruim balkon/terras. Elke dag schoonmaak en desgewenst schone handdoeken. Vriendelijk, behulpzaam personeel. Maaltijden in buffetvorm en wisselend. Tip: kleine puntjes van aandacht. Extra controle gordijnen, dekens en lampen.

The food was good and decent for a buffet. Everything was clean all the time, service desk was kind and talked in 3 languages. The room was spacious and we really loved that it has a closed bedroom and a kitchen. We traveled with a 4 years old and this was perfect for us. We rented a car and never had any issue with parking.

We were disappointed with our stay at this hotel. While the design and construction suggest it was once a top property, it now feels outdated, with visible cracks, dirty corners, and worn-out furniture. It seems the owners are neglecting maintenance, which significantly affects the guest experience. Facilities: For the first five days, most facilities, including the pool, kids’ playroom, market, and club, were closed. When we asked, staff explained that low occupancy was the reason. This is unacceptable, as guests expect advertised facilities to be available regardless of how busy the hotel is. Food: The all-inclusive package was disappointing. Early on, food options were limited, and even coffee and tea machines were turned off. Only after more guests arrived did the variety improve, with ice cream and coffee machines being activated. However, the food quality was poor—mostly fried items and very few options for children. Mealtimes were chaotic, with long queues inside and outside the restaurant. Location: The location was a positive, as it’s between two small cities and close to Malaga. Overall: I regret choosing this hotel due to poor maintenance, limited facilities, and subpar food. Improvements are needed to justify staying here.

Don’t believe that all that is listed in the description is available at the actual hotel. I.e. we seen that from listing that it had a Lazy River, this was actually located at the beach club a short shuttle away. You can not buy a dingy you have to rent @ €10 €10 deposit each per day for a few hours only. The room was not as modern as we thought from the pictures the Wi-Fi was not working and in our room and staff couldn’t care when reported. We actually thought paying extra for seaview suite with terrace would include at least sun lounges but no it didn’t. The maids would only leave 2 towels on days unless asked to leave 4. The pillows where very uncomfortable only providing 1 long pillow per bed. The pull out bed was uncomfortable for our teenage daughter as she could feel the springs and she is fine made up so not due to weight. The food was nice plenty of choice, the drinks where hidden so you could see what was on offer unless it was the premium drinks which where expensive at €9 each. Bar closed at 12 and lights on all terraces switched off. Public Transport very good and very reasonable between the 2 neighbouring towns. Don’t believe that all that is listed in the description is available at the actual hotel. I.e. we seen that from listing that it had a Lazy River, this was actually located at the beach club a short shuttle away. You can not buy a dingy you have to rent @ €10 €10 deposit each per day for a few hours only. The room was not as modern as we thought from the pictures the Wi-Fi was not working and in our room and staff couldn’t care when reported. We actually thought paying extra for seaview suite with terrace would include at least sun lounges but no it didn’t. The maids would only leave 2 towels on days unless asked to leave 4. The pillows where very uncomfortable only providing 1 long pillow per bed. The pull out bed was uncomfortable for our teenage daughter as she could feel the springs and she is fine made up so not due to weight. The food was nice plenty of choice, the drinks where hidden so you could see what was on offer unless it was the premium drinks which where expensive at €9 each. Bar closed at 12 and lights on all terraces switched off. Public Transport very good and very reasonable between the 2 neighbouring towns. We must have been palmed off with the worst room in the hotel, room 338. We would have had it changed but as we were staying 1 night and arrived at 6pm it wasn’t worth the hassle. Food was pretty good at breakfast and dinner.

Enjoyable stay at HW Polynesia. The hotel is nice but starting to get somewhat dated. The pool area very nice, and the water park (not at the hotel but close by - free shuttle bus takes you to pedestrian bridge to access the water park but you can also walk there in approx 10min). Quality of the food varied at the buffet restaurant but the breakfast was usually really good. The focus on candy and sweets at the restaurant a bit overwhelming, though. All in all a pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time at the hotel. If we were to visit again I think we would opt for the HW Village.

Our room was spacious for a family of 4 and the main bed was super comfy. However, the sofa bed was awful. The fold-out mattress was super thin you could feel the springs so wouldn't recommend using it, or only for 1 person. It was handy having a kitchenette although having a kettle would've helped! On arrival our air con wasn't working but wihtin the hour, a maintenance member of the team came and fixed it and it worked well for the duration. The shower is really powerful but is fixed directly above your head and there's nowhere else for you to move. There is also a lack of hanging space or shelving in the bathroom - the shelf in the shower was hanging off so all shower items had to sit on the floor, and there was only 1 hook for a towel. Please install more hooks - shelves. Other than that, we had a great time. The food was plentiful and a good variety with a different themed night each night. For the kids I would've expected to see chicken nuggets, but there were only burgers or hot dogs. The pools are spotless and the kids entertainment team did a good job at keeping everyone entertained.

The food was good and decent for a buffet. Everything was clean all the time, service desk was kind and talked in 3 languages. The room was spacious and we really loved that it has a closed bedroom and a kitchen. We traveled with a 4 years old and this was perfect for us. We rented a car and never had any issue with parking.

We recently stayed at the Polynesia Hotel in Malaga and were impressed by several aspects of the experience. It’s a very nice resort. The rooms are huge with terrace and sea/pool view from the 4th floor we stated at. Pool is big and there is entertainment going on. Fint Hotel men det trænger til en kærlig hånd. Rigtig god mad vi var der over julen og der var det den ene restaurant der havde åben, all inklusiv maden var fin, der er mulighed for at få lavet ommelet til morgenmaden. Værelset er generelt lidt slidt, men ellers er de fine der var sovesofa samt mulighed for at lave med på værelset, terrassen/Altanen var dejlig stor.

We were disappointed with our stay at this hotel. While the design and construction suggest it was once a top property, it now feels outdated, with visible cracks, dirty corners, and worn-out furniture. It seems the owners are neglecting maintenance, which significantly affects the guest experience. Facilities: For the first five days, most facilities, including the pool, kids’ playroom, market, and club, were closed. When we asked, staff explained that low occupancy was the reason. This is unacceptable, as guests expect advertised facilities to be available regardless of how busy the hotel is. Food: The all-inclusive package was disappointing. Early on, food options were limited, and even coffee and tea machines were turned off. Only after more guests arrived did the variety improve, with ice cream and coffee machines being activated. However, the food quality was poor—mostly fried items and very few options for children. Mealtimes were chaotic, with long queues inside and outside the restaurant. The reception is amazing, great for pictures. All the staffs are extremely friendly. The recreation for kids and adults is good, but could improve with more options all day. The food is ok, the dessert area have a lot options, but everything taste the same. In general was great. My son had the best time of his life. We are count the days to be back next year.

It took over 20 minutes to check In, we weren’t allowed to upgrade to all inclusive, my credit card details were written on a piece of paper (terrible security risk) and we were charged a fortune for a paper cup of beer which was only 3/4 full (fine if you’re all inclusive and can refill but paying resort prices should be a glass and a full drink!) the property is also in need of some upgrades/renovations.

The beachfront view was nice and rooms were clean but we had to ask everyday to get new towels. It would be nice if they had more food variety or the two restaurants opened that they had onsite. Only other thing was one of the older souvenir shops employees was slightly rude to my daughter. Other then that great experience!

The overall stay was good but not what we maybe expected when we ordered. What we did not notice when we did the order through Hotels.com was that the hotel was aimed for all inclusive stays. Our family was one of the few families without the all inclusive. Nothing bad about that but we maybe did not expect the normal family noise you get in these kind of hotels. Also tge price of food gets expensive. A lunch for us was 30€/person so we did not eat at the hotel. Hotel is very nice, but it is not located at the sea. From the review when selecting the hotel we could expect much closer. Nowhere it is stated that a train rund between the hotel and the sea. The train is not noisy but it would explain the access to beach differently. Hotel is located quite far from Benalmadena and Fuengirola centres so one will need a car/taxi/bus to visit any of the centres. We had a car all the time and then the location is good. Rooms are ok, but nothing extraordinary. Hotel is VERY big so there is a lot to explore. Very nice lobbies all over. Pool area is ok with lots of sun all day. View from the hotel is really nice. Overall I would summarise the visit as ok, but most likely we would not choose this hotel again. Then because of the location and the all inclusive focus.

Très belle hôtel : une piscine à l’hôtel et un accès gratuit au centre aquatique (des navettes circule toute la journée entre l’hôtel et ce centre aquatique). Accès plage rapide à pied. Parfait pour un voyage en famille. Personnel non francophone qui a tendance à privilégier la clientèle britannique.

All in all a pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time at the hotel. If we were to visit again I think we would opt for the HW Village.
Enjoyable stay at HW Polynesia. The hotel is nice but starting to get somewhat dated. The pool area very nice, and the water park (not at the hotel but close by - free shuttle bus takes you to pedestrian bridge to access the water park but you can also walk there in approx 10min). Quality of the food varied at the buffet restaurant but the breakfast was usually really good. The focus on candy and sweets at the restaurant a bit overwhelming, though. All in all a pleasant stay and we enjoyed our time at the hotel. If we were to visit again I think we would opt for the HW Village.

The hotel is located close to the sea and the beach but otherwise there is not too much to do and see around. There are bus connections to nearest cities though. It is not clear that they have any environmental initiatives or considerations for recycling.

Our stay was amazing! The resort is remote but there are cabs which are easily ordered at reception which can take you into town. The facilities in the hotels were incredible and the entertainment was some of the best I have seen in a hotel. The fact that you could chose between 3 very different acts each night was great! Our room was also very clean and big with plenty of space for 4 people and there was only 2 of us! Thank you so much for an amazing holiday!

The food was good and decent for a buffet. Everything was clean all the time, service desk was kind and talked in 3 languages. The room was spacious and we really loved that it has a closed bedroom and a kitchen. We traveled with a 4 years old and this was perfect for us. We rented a car and never had any issue with parking.

We recently stayed at the Polynesia Hotel in Malaga and were impressed by several aspects of the experience. We must have been palmed off with the worst room in the hotel, room 338. We would have had it changed but as we were staying 1 night and arrived at 6pm it wasn’t worth the hassle. Food was pretty good at breakfast and dinner.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gut gepflegt. Leider wird am Essen gespart. Die Getränke waren tendenziell eher billig und zu süß. Beim Essen gab es Höhen und Tiefen. Nach ein paar Tagen weiß man, was man nicht essen sollte.

Mellanstor pool inne på hotellet och ett större poolområde inte så långt ifrån, vilket det går en gratis buss mellan så bara att hoppa på. Man slipper denna hets när det gäller solstolar, visst, kommer man efter 12 kan det vara fullt men efter en stund brukar det lösa sig. Maten på all-inklusive drar ned betyget lite, förmycket friterat.

Disappointing experience. In End of February - Outdoor pool and holiday village are closed. If we have to use indoor pool, we need to pay ! (20€ per person for an hour !) Usage of games is also paid activity . Halfboard or fullboard is not inclusive of drinks (no juice or soda) . Basically, we just had to content with a reasonably ok room , (pretty spacious , good beds, awesome views from balcony) . Rest everything .... just Meh . And these details i mentioned are not mentioned while booking via Hotels.com .....

The complex was perfect for the family vacation. Play room, game room, beach club and lot of other activities for kids. However, we booked a suite with jacuzzi but got the junior suite and after spending hours talking to hotel reception and the hotels.com agent we didn’t get compensation for the extra 500 euros we paid for the suite, that was very unfortunate. Otherwise we were happy with the hotel!
