Motel 6-Waterloo, IA

The hallway stunk the area pets are supposed to go to the bathroom was gross no one was cleaning up after their dogs as we did. Outlet by sink didn't work.

Had a reservation, came in at 11:30pm and the place was locked up, no employees on site. Had to get a refund from hotels.com, HORRIBLE! No communication whatsoever from the motel.

I got to hotel and was told they didnt have a room so i had to cancel reservation. Was on hold with Hotel.com for over an hour before.i could get some help. I ended up sleeping in my car. Then next day i.try and get refund and they cant contact them hotel to confirm tht reservation was canceled!!

Non-smoking room I stayed in someone had been smoking heavily in and it smelled bad all over. The smoked detector was battery was unplugged. Thankfully I was there for 1 night. Would not recommend staying.

Staff was good, no complaints there and were very understanding about situation... however hotel reeked of smoke, even in non smoking room, burn holea in the comforter, patched holes in the bathroom... i broke out in hives within 10 minutes of being in room, had to checknout immediately Yhis hotel is more of a weekly rate hotel type and the cliwntele that brings, being a single female travler i didnt feel safe in being in room (no fault of hotel)... says has pool but doesnt work and is closed up... staff was pleasant and helpful about checking out but after a 9 hour drive all i wanted was crawl into bed
