Our fifth time back to Riverside it’s been a family favourite. Tried the glamping trailer this time and had a blast. If you like to bbq just remember it doesn’t come with a propane tank. Other than that it was a great spot for a summer getaway. The pool and water slide is always a hit!

Our 2nd time here. Kids had a blast with the waterpark, minigolf was fun. We have stayed in both the studio and the 2 bedroom suites and glad both have private patios for when the kids go to sleep. Definately will be coming back

We had a great stay. Would go back for sure. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. The days we were there the big waterslide wasn't working. But the little one did and there's also a mini golf area. Parking was right infront of our room. Super convenient This is not a luxury hotel but had everything we need. And didn't have to break the bank for a comfy stay with kitchenette

Our room was older and showed some wear, most concerning was an active and highly-populated wasp's nest in the soffit above the door to the room which was not attended to, despite reporting it - one staff member said no maintenance staff are on site - commenting that he thought that wasn't good, as there were also wasp nests identified by hand-written signs, "Angry wasps" . . . The other concern is that only 3 electrical outlets were accessible, and only the bottom receptacle worked in each of them. No GFI outlet in the bathroom, so the hair dryer had to be plugged in behind the TV, about 5.5 feet high. The freezer compartment of the fridge was not functioning properly, and water dripped down the back wall of the fridge that needed to be wiped out a few times, as it collected in the bottom of the fridge. There is only a cooktop and a microwave. There were only 2 folding lawn chairs on the patio, both in poor condition. The playground equipment is outdated - wood structures with the usual slivers and poor design that caused another family's child to whack her head off a 2x4 that knocked her off her feet and straight back onto her butt. The pool was pushed to the limit on the Saturday with birthday party groups, so the water was green and littered with leaves and insects, and a slime of greasy film on the pool edges by about 2:00 pm. Overall, it's just an older resort that is trying to do its best for families on a budget. Kids don't really notice these things, so all smiles.

The room we stayed in was clean and upgraded, nice to have a patio with a bbq. The place is very dog friendly and had great amenities, like a pool with a slide, mini golf and a store with anything you could need. The location is close to beaches and is very quiet at night. The staff is extremely friendly and very polite, if you need anything they are always available. Would definitely stay again and probably for a longer time.

Booked in a clinch and was only available option at time, but was a great experience and plan to go back again. Staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the onsite pool and waterslide, as well as mini golf! They provided propane for a firepit out the back patio and had a BBQ too! Pleasantly surprised.

Our stay was Thurs-Sat. The property is a mix of permanent residence in rv's, vacation spots for rvs , apartment style cabins and 2 bedroom cabins for rent. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin #30 that opened to a grassy communal area. Cabin was clean and large and allows dogs. My only issue was that both side table lamps in the main bedroom didnt work. Both had broken switches. Told front desk so hopefully that gets fixed. I never caught the mans name at the front desk that was helping us but he was great and fun and we appreciated that. The pool and slide were fun and when the slide is on they have a lifeguard so thats an extra bonus for the familiea and safety. We enjoyed it alot and will def head back. I highly recommend. They also swrve pizza ice cream and have a full convenience store. Thanks for a great few days.

Great value especially in the off season. Cabin was spacious and had a full kitchen with table and chairs which was super convenient. Beds were comfy but we found lots of little hairs in the sheets (looked like cat fur... love that it's pet-friendly but that requires extra cleaning!) Loved that there was a nice little patio with bbq and chair and a grassy area to play and have a fire (each cabin has a fire pit). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We entered our 2 level suite and the smell of animal urine and cigarettes was unreal! The kitchen floor was sticky, bathroom toilet had hair on it... the staff were great, we were offered a cabin which was much cleaner!

So nice to have a spot we could do laundry mid-camping vacation and wait out some rain. The kitchen was great, the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were lovely, however…waterslide/pool was closed, bathroom fan broken and actually fell down revealing black mold, and the kitchenette suite was without running water for hours. I emailed management twice after our stay to give feedback and never heard back.

Great location. Short walk to the beach. Rooms were spacious. Our king size bed room smelled of smoke...bery strong smell. If they bleached the fan in the bathroom that would help but other than that clean and had a good time.

Great place for family, lots of things for kids to do. Reasonable prices. Our condo was cold, windows were so thin I think the cold got in and it was noisy. Couldn’t get anything on the tv’s to work, and the coffee machine and kettle were hard to operate, they worked when they wanted to.

Enjoyed our stay - didn’t know this resort even existed. Just alongside the old highway so a bit of noise from traffic but nothing outrageous. We just stayed one night so it was hard to really enjoy it although the front seat staff invited us to use the pool the next day after vacating our room for 11 so that was nice.

I’ll start with the negative: Check-in is at 4 and we didn’t get checked in until 5 because the room was still being cleaned. I normally wouldn’t mind too much but I had a wedding rehearsal at 4:30 and my outfit was packed in my suitcase- I had planned to check in at 4 and get ready. But I had to dig my stuff out awkwardly in my car and change and get ready in the common bathroom at the RV section. Not ideal…they were kind about it all but still a pain in the butt. My husband ended having to unpack it all with our two kiddos running around. On our last day we were swimming in the pool and I slid in on the side instead of taking the stairs in and slid my foot over a sharp piece in the concrete and cut open my foot. I got out and it bled a bit so I just stayed out. Short but sweet dip in the pool. The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work…pretty hard to get ready for a wedding when I couldn’t see my hair I was styling. If I didn’t need to do any of the wedding stuff-none of this would have been an issue! The good: All the employees there were so lovely and friendly. The mini golfing was so fun and the kids loved it! My youngest got 2 holes in one! My kids also loved the pool slides and ice cream. The room was nice and clean. I found the beds very comfortable. The location is great. Very close to town or a quick 2 minute drive to the beach. Overall we loved it! Just. A few hiccups but I’m assuming won’t be an issue next time! We’ll be back

Great pool for the family to hang out in during the day. Close to beaches and good restaurants. Close to some good hiking areas. The room we had didn't have AC and there was no screen on the patio door so we only had the one window for fresh air overnight. We were poolside which gave us a nice little fenced in area with a BBQ, table and chairs.

This is a great spot for families. We stayed in a renovated cabin. Had a kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom. Backyard with firepit, propane grill. The site has a convenience store with everything you would need for camping or bbq. The pool onsite was a blast for the kids. Only negatives was that we didn't book directly through them and they tried to pull a fast one that the room wasnt available even though i paid in full upfront through hotels.com. However, this was rectified and worked out better in the end. Also, the mini putt is pretty worn and in need of repair but still playable for kids. Qualicum beach is beautiful and nearby. The town is 5 min away. I would definitely recommend for young families.

Tidy, recently Reno-ed, lots of fun family things to do. Having a kitchenette was great and saved us a lot of trouble for meals etc. Only real downside was it was noisy beside the parking lot with trucks pulling in at night (loud engines). Staff were friendly and helpful. Wished I would have known that the rates were lower and this site charges a 50$ fee to support the eir business. Rate advertised online was 160$ and the actual rate at the site was 108$. Save yourself 50$ and just call them to book a reservation.

I’ll start with the negative: Check-in is at 4 and we didn’t get checked in until 5 because the room was still being cleaned. I normally wouldn’t mind too much but I had a wedding rehearsal at 4:30 and my outfit was packed in my suitcase- I had planned to check in at 4 and get ready. But I had to dig my stuff out awkwardly in my car and change and get ready in the common bathroom at the RV section. Not ideal…they were kind about it all but still a pain in the butt. My husband ended having to unpack it all with our two kiddos running around. On our last day we were swimming in the pool and I slid in on the side instead of taking the stairs in and slid my foot over a sharp piece in the concrete and cut open my foot. I got out and it bled a bit so I just stayed out. Short but sweet dip in the pool. The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work…pretty hard to get ready for a wedding when I couldn’t see my hair I was styling. If I didn’t need to do any of the wedding stuff-none of this would have been an issue! The good: All the employees there were so lovely and friendly. The mini golfing was so fun and the kids loved it! My youngest got 2 holes in one! My kids also loved the pool slides and ice cream. The room was nice and clean. I found the beds very comfortable. Place was as expected, a little dated but otherwise nice and clean. We did have to pay an additional $80 but that was due to travelocity not charging the proper taxes. My kid had a blast at the pool/slides, there is a person from the resort supervising at all times which was awesome. The staff was awesome, very nice and polite. We will stay there again if were out on the island.

Staff were lovely, however…waterslide/pool was closed, bathroom fan broken and actually fell down revealing black mold, and the kitchenette suite was without running water for hours. I emailed management twice after our stay to give feedback and never heard back.

Really nice little cabins that are updated, comfortable and a short walk to the beach! The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The one thing was one of the cabins did smell a bit like smoke (even though it was non-smoking) but we opened the windows and turned on fans to air it out and it was fine. If we come back to Qualicum beach, we will definitely consider staying here again!

Enjoyed our stay - didn’t know this resort even existed. Just alongside the old highway so a bit of noise from traffic but nothing outrageous. We just stayed one night so it was hard to really enjoy it although the front seat staff invited us to use the pool the next day after vacating our room for 11 so that was nice.

The place is very dog friendly and had great amenities, like a pool with a slide, mini golf and a store with anything you could need. The location is close to beaches and is very quiet at night. Booked in a clinch and was only available option at time, but was a great experience and plan to go back again. Staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the onsite pool and waterslide, as well as mini golf! They provided propane for a firepit out the back patio and had a BBQ too! Pleasantly surprised.

Our stay was Thurs-Sat. The property is a mix of permanent residence in rv's, vacation spots for rvs , apartment style cabins and 2 bedroom cabins for rent. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin #30 that opened to a grassy communal area. Cabin was clean and large and allows dogs. My only issue was that both side table lamps in the main bedroom didnt work. Both had broken switches. Told front desk so hopefully that gets fixed. I never caught the mans name at the front desk that was helping us but he was great and fun and we appreciated that. The pool and slide were fun and when the slide is on they have a lifeguard so thats an extra bonus for the familiea and safety. We enjoyed it alot and will def head back. I highly recommend. They also swrve pizza ice cream and have a full convenience store. Thanks for a great few days.

It was the perfect place to take young children and having a convenience store on the property was a hit with the adults!! The park and mini-golf were the highlights for my grandchildren and we found the employees were super friendly! I would totally recommend this place for a family vacation!!

We loved our stay! The suite was very nice and clean. Kitchen had almost everything needed, could have used a can opener but was not a deal breaker by any means! It was so nice having our own little patio area, bbq and fire pit! Great family atmosphere! Overall just an amazing time! We plan on making this our yearly spot and have already recommended it to our friends to join us next time!

Brilliant one night stop over. Our kids loved the pool especially the water slides. We played crazy golf which was fab. Really friendly staff, the location was great and accommodation for a family of 4 was really good. We would definitely recommend a stay here as our kids in particular loved it.
