Club Quarters Hotel Central Loop, Chicago

Excellent location. Parking although 2 blocks away was $28 for 24 hours! Very nice room, very clean. Would stay there again.

The hotel is in one of the best locations in the loop. A mile south to the museums or a mile to the river walk.. or jump the train - the train is far enough away to not hear it! Room was clean, appreciated the recycle water bottles and filtered water on the floor. Awesome overall - clean room, working fixtures, shower had great pressure, nespresso coffees made it a solid go to again. I had to work and the desk worked perfect with a screen under it to even extend if I had the need.

Room had what we needed. We needed refrigeration for some food we bought and talked to front desk. They said they could send us a mini frig and did with 10 minutes. Front desk was also helpful with directions to L. It’s close to them all.

I like and appreciate that they have a free complementary launderette. So many have only high priced laundry service per item. Also the complementary coffee drink machine in their lounge much appreciated.

Staff was great. Good location, especially for Union Station access. Love the bottled water dispenser!

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was within walking distance to downtown. Be aware that there is no on site parking however there are multiple public parking lots close by.

Super comfortable bedding, quiet, refillable water bottles and filling stations on all floors a nice touch, 24/7 coffee/espresso machine convenient. Our bedroom needed a nightstand on both sides of the bed. We were able to move a piece of furniture to create a makeshift one. Not enough outlets but we bought an extension and mini power strip.

The hotel was in a great location, and was affordable. Definitely no frills, but the check in was easy and we felt safe. The mini fridge in the room didn't work, which we didn't notice until after we put half of our leftover Lou Malnati's (iykyk)in, and it was in the warm fridge overnight and ruined. I was in shambles. Also, loved the pub downstairs, had a great time overall.

Fantastic smaller property in a very convenient location. Super lounge downstairs. This will be my go to accommodations when I visit the Second City next time!

This is a modernized hotel with prompt, fast elevators to our 8th floor room. Our room was clean, comfortable, up-to-date and quiet. The biggest drawback was that hotel parking was 3 relatively long blocks away.

With the expectation that guests will check in and check out using kiosks, the kiosks should be clean AND hand sanitizer available. At the kiosk I was directed to I could see hair on it. Gross. Also, in the room, I had never experience so much dust on the remote control and light fixtures. This hotel should invest in dusters for it's cleaning staff. I will never stay here again. The good part was the location. Near a subway station and not too far a walk from some major sites.

The staff seemed stressed. Not very helpful at all. Parking is terrible. Dirty towels. Elevator didn't work properly.

The room i got was not like the pictures you showed. It was old, with a dirty carpet, old floors and old bed, both made noises while walking or getting into. Tv didn't work properly. Thanks to one of the manager i got a better room the last night of my stay, he was very friendly and helpful. I guess there are 2.5 stars rooms and 4 stars rooms. I got to see both of them, not a pleasant experience, thanks to Chris that helped menout to be more comfortable.

The room smelled musty/funny when I entered. I figured it was just an old building my colleagues also staying at the hotel said their rooms were fine.

This is not a 4 star hotel by European standards. I had to insist to have the room serviced and despite asking for everyday room service they came in 2 days from a 6 night stay. Room is small with a very dusty carpet on the floor and bathroom needs renovation. The best part about this hotel is the location.

Room had stains all over the carpet and dust inside coffee maker and on table and screen. No trash bag inside trash cans. Room had a bad smell. Random people in hallway being loud and smell of marijuana. Front desk was nice and helped check in smoothly but the only thing nice is the front lobby

The cleanliness of the room was extremely poor — the towels were unusable and even had an unpleasant greasy or oily smell. The bathroom floor and shower were full of hair, clearly showing a lack of proper cleaning. There was visible dust on the desk and bedside tables, as if they had not been wiped down at all. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for a stay.

The photos online are not true to what the rooms really look like. The photos make it out to be clean, modern, and updated, when in reality it was old and slightly rundown. We stayed in the superior room with kitchenette which looks a lot bigger in the photos online but is small in reality. Our room had an odd smell when we first checked in but it went away after a while. The bed was firm but the pillows were plush. We had requested housekeeping during our trip and had to call down twice in order for someone to actually come and clean our room, and when they did they still forgot to stock our toilet paper so we had to call again for that. Then they still never came so we had to call an additional time. Upon checkout, we had used their bag holding service while we went out and got breakfast. Once we got back, it took them 30+ minutes to get our bags back to us, which was pretty frustrating as we had a plane to catch. Overall, the responsiveness of housekeeping and other staff was pretty poor. The room itself was fine after the initial shock of it really not looking like how it was portrayed online. Really the location is what you are paying for. It was convenient as this hotel is walking distance to a lot of attractions and to the subway lines. There was also complimentary water bottles which was a plus as well. I would not stay here again now that I know, but the convenience of the location was great if you have a lot of things you need to do in Downtown Chicago.

Unfriendly staff and the room is dirty. The bedsheet had an old blood stains. Bathroom was dirty. Requested for room service three times but wasn’t done. The room is absolutely dirty and dusty all around. The location is good.

The people at the front desk were all very friendly and super helpful. The room was good except we could not adjust the thermostat so the room stayed too warm for our liking. Other than that the hotel is very nice.

Room was nice, i just didn't expect the king side bed to be 2 twin size mattresses. Me and my girl kept sinking in better the middle.

Really basic and really outdated. Really thin walls and you can hear everything in the hallways. You get what you pay for.

We had a great two night stay here. Booked a queen with a pull out couch. Room was VERY spacious, enough room for more beds! Great staff, great location and nice quiet and dark rooms!

Could not adjust the thermostat in the room. It stayed at 64 degrees the whole time we stayed.

My husband and I came for one night. It’s a good location and price is good. We got a standard room with a King bed. The room is spacious. However, it was freezing. The heat was not on in late December. We had to put the heat up 3-4 times over night because the room was so cold and heat was struggling. The toilet had poop stains in it prior to us using it. The king bed was not a king bed. It’s two twin beds pushed together. If you plan on sleeping in the middle of the bed you’ll be on the crack between two mattresses. Rooms are very close to each other and anyone coming in and out of their room will easily wake you up. Walls are very thin. Ultimately wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel is definitely older and showing its age but it was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Would stay again in the future.

I arrived very late, in the wee hours of the morning. I called from a very late Amtrak train to Chicago. I was assured my room would be held for me. The night auditor checked me in quickly and made sure I had a luggage cart for my luggage. When checking out, the staff asked if I wanted any luggage held before my train departed Chicago. I didn’t have to ask; the staff anticipated my travel needs and accommodated me accordingly. Will definitely stay here again.

Terrible service and management didn’t seem to care much. Never received housekeeping service the entirety of our stay even though requested daily and sometimes more than once daily. TV froze, bed and pillows uncomfortable, bathroom fan didn’t work, coffee machine broken in lounge area for two of the three days we stayed. The price for the room was way too expensive for the level of service and condition of the hotel. As a result, I will never stay in this Club Quarters or any other anywhere else. After complaints to the manager, who got snippy and provided a half hearted apology and a voucher for the restaurant in the lobby. His boss never apologized but rather sent an email at 8:30pm saying they could provide housekeeping services as long as we left the room. We were out. Having dinner and didn’t see this lame attempt at trying to do the right thing after several disappointing experiences. Spend your money elsewhere. Too many better options in Chicago even if more expensive.

The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage there (after we checked out) while we enjoyed the city.

Good hotel for the price. I was here for a business trip. Staff was fantastic and any issue I had was quickly resolved. Staff was even kind enough to wait for an uber with me late evening so I wasn’t alone on the street. The room itself was the perfect size and comfortable. The only issue I had was the shower pressure being weak but the staff came up and fixed it.

It was my first time in Chicago and Lashaun was most helpful at the front desk when I requested a modification. He was very professional and polite and went out of his way to ensure we were well accommodated.

Due to weather-related flight delays, I arrived at the hotel at 2:30am. I was welcomed as if it was 6:30pm and my check-in was efficient. The hotel is in a great location for my office, but a bit shabby overall. Would not choose to stay here if if was for a couples trip to Chicago.

Excellent hotel for visiting Chicago. Easy to run to the lake in the morning and quick access to both blue and red lines. Clean, quiet, great breakfast, nice bar. Highly recommend.

The kind lady at the front desk the evening of 7/8 was amazing! I have stayed here once before and she was there too. Very welcoming and spent a minute with me celebrating the end of my cancer treatments (because she asked what brought me to the city and I answered: celebrating life). Thank you for that moment.

We got to check in early to our room , we came in extra early and they allowed us to stay in the downstairs lounge until our room was ready . The location is very central ! We walked to the Bean , Willis Tower, Naval Pier , train is close . Think we made a great choice

It’s just a quick walk to the Chicago Art Institute, and lots of terrific restaurants are within walking distance.

This is my second time staying here. My main compliant is the toilet did not flush. Meaning it did not go down when you tried to flush it. Good thing i was only staying 1 night. I did let the staff know when we were headed to dinner. Since it still would not flush when we got back, I'm not sure if anyone came. We just waiting until morning and let them know when we were checking out. Also, we tried the restaurant this time and the service was super slow. Waiting 40-45 minutes for potatoes and an omelet is entirely too long.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The staff in the restaurant made me feel unwelcomed and i won't say why i believe this.

Amazing experience. The room was small but we didn't stay in there long enough to care. The best parts of this hotel are the staff and the restaurant under it. I can't say enough great things about that restaurant: "Elephant and Something". The food was amazing, best we had in the city and the drinks were cheap! Cannot recommend it enough.

Stayed here a few times now as it’s in a convenient location downtown within easy walking distance of the Chicago river and the lake. Also union station is a short walk away and o’hare is only 45 mins on the blue line. The hotel has generous rooms and I like the room service from the adjacent bar. We were delayed by 3 hours on the train from Seattle and just wanted some dinner in our room.

We were in town for the museum and the Chicago Symphony. Excellent location. The pub attached had an EXCELLENT breakfast. . .a bit too noisy for us at night.

It is the first hotel that I stayed that doesn’t have bad tub, so all the water was all over the bathroom. I was sure I add the breakfast but I guess I was distracted and didn’t add it, which it was disappointing because I paid a lot for the staying but a guy from the restaurant help us and he was so kind and the food was good. We were freezing, we tried to turn the heat I set it to 90 and it was still cold, I thought we were having view to the street but the window was at the roof the bathroom didn’t have any ventilation. It is also the first hotel that the room didn’t have fridge. Maybe there are other hotels like this one but I’m not booking here again. But definitely coming back for the restaurant.
