The carpet in the hall was very dirty and had a bad smell. The hot tub did not have working jets for the two days we were there.

Great vacation, everything was good and chilling, except the adult only pool was under maintenance and we couldn’t use it for the last day, we stayed at resort, it was very disappointing. Overall 4 stars!

Resort is gorgeous. Gym, pools, and spa are fantastic. I had the very best facial by Sarah that I have ever had. Prices for spa treatments, food and drinks are fairly high. Townhouse was spacious and beautiful but could have been better stocked with paper towels, cleaning supplies, broom, etc. Lagoon had baby jelly fish floating around but water was very clean. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Mini-golf needs a refresh. Noticed lots of young kids having fun in the splash pad area. Iguanas were everywhere. We got a kick out of that. Nice tennis courts and gift shop. Had a great time! Florida Keys is a great place to vacation.

They property is very lovely but having signs up telling us the pool and hot tub is closed at dusk in the winter is ridiculous especially when the lights and music is on until 9:30

Property had everything we needed and was centrally located for any day trips up and down the keys. Pool staff was awesome and the area didn’t feel crowded. A highlight was being able to swim with the dolphins.

Loved the Villa. Loved the pools and resort. Loved the many activities for kids and adults.

Easy drive from highway. Beautiful resort with an adult pool and lanai rooms. Saltwater lagoon for kayaking and snorkeling. Dolphins are an added bonus! Enjoyed our stay.

So got the room with a view and end up having a view of trees and construction equipment(have pictures).Also had a noisy generator running 24/7 outside our room and had to leave the tv on at night to sleep to drown away the generator noise. Now on to the resort the Pilar bar and main restaurant/bar were closed due to renovation along with the fitness center. If I was notified before my arrival I would have stayed somewhere else. Could have stayed at a condo for a 1/3 of the price. Food at the pool Was good and the pool Staff friendly. When asked to speak with a manager they were not there and asked for a call back before I left this review and have not heard from anyone.

First trip to the Keys for our family. We loved the three bedroom townhouse we stayed in with our two teenagers. There is essentially nothing else on the resort so plan accordingly. The facility was clean and as we arrived before many guests checking in for Easter weekend, it was not too full initially. By midweek it was impossible to get a chair by the pool as guests had claimed all of the chases and chairs while there were only 20 people in the pool and 8 kids in the lagoon with the vast majority of the chairs empty but not free so I stood for two hours watching my kids as there is no lifeguard. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks were good but resort prices with no outside drinks or food. We had lunch at the poolside restaurant and the fish tacos were very good but inexplicably we all got a side of tortilla chips with no salsa. Again pricing is very high. Service there was good. The breakfast at the cafe is very over priced and the service there was not good. It seems like the workers could have used some help and that might have made them happier. So for 60 dollars I got two lattes, two breakfast sandwiches and a cup of fruit. I’m not a great chef and these breakfasts were of the same quality I’d have made if I had groceries. Not worth sixty dollars. I also watched a cashier openly roll her eyes at a customer and the speed was slower than I expect on vacation in the island time. Ate at Angler and Ale and that was also good but also very expensive and slow.

Staff was very friendly and the property overall is unique and seems luxurious. That’s all I can say to its benefit though. My room was still dirty from a previous stay. I found used toothpicks on the floor, literal dirt on the walls and two roaches joined me in my shower. The bathroom appliances were rusty and unkept. The restaurants and bars were average. Nothing magnificent in terms of quality but they certainly charge like they’re serving Michelin quality items.

It was very disappointing. Our room was dirty, hair in the tub. Faucet and drain in the shower were broken. 2 pieces of the drain (plus and entire phlange ) were just sitting randomly in the tub. The soap dispenser was broken off the wall and sitting in the tub. Phone didn’t work to call the front desk. Shampoo and conditioner smelled bad. Sink didn’t drain. It really was so gross. The conference area smelled like a nursing home. One of the public toilets overflowed everyday and poured over the whole bathroom floor so you had to walk through a wet floor to use the bathroom at the conference. Overall a very “tired” and dirty facility. Super disappointing. I will say, the food at the tiki bar was consistently good.

We booked a villa at Hawk cay for Christmas. We paid premium price. When we arrived to our villa, we found out there are cockroaches in the cabinet, marks of food on the plates, and no wi fi. The phone in the room was not working, and the person who came to check just said the there will be no wi fi because the TV is too old. It was too late to leave that night, but we left first thing in the morning. I wiould highly recommend to stay away.

villa needs major upgrading. there was mold everywhere, no cell signal inside the villa, and the cleanliness was just not there. I wouldn’t blame the cleaning crew, but if you decide to stay, make sure to only rent the premium villas. We stayed at 7203 and don’t plan to ever go back. Please remodel your villas.

It was our first stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and an ample space. We loved that the flooring has been replaced with imitation of wood. The shower very nice and separated with a door from the toilet area. The ceiling fan needs to be clean, we noticed it was dirty. From what other family members commented some rooms do need a little loving care, specially those that still have an old rug and a tub instead of a shower. We also noticed that the hotel needs to hire a few more people. Some employees seem to be a little overworked and frustrated.

Front desk Tomas worst people person Jimmy at front door was the best in staff for sure. 7021 upon arrival.... kitchen faucet flooding counter. Dirty including hot tub that doesn't work. WD door broken. Carpet gross. Tub gross. Window inspection decals still on windows with algae growing on outside of windows. Front desk would not charge out the villa.

I was looking for a nice hotel to spend with my family so I asked a coworker, she recommended this place. I have to say I was very pleased. One of the first things I look for when I stay in a hotel is cleanliness. I was stunned to see how clean everything was and how nice the room looked. The pool area was stunning, with lots of room to accommodate everyone. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely make this a yearly outing with the family every year before kids go back to school.

This is our fourth trip there and every time we go the property looks older dirtier and just not worth the money it is not $1000 a room and night hotel

We are regulars at Hawks Cay. We usually love staying there. However, this time we were very disappointed with the level of service (particularly housekeeping) and with the room we were given. We booked the Family Oasis room because we are a family of 4 and it was very spacious with a King and a bunk bed. However when we got there we realized the room has no view (it overlooks at the service and maintenance area), with no balcony. The room is extremely dark, had to keep light on even during the day. Not particularly what I was looking for in a trip to the Keys. On our previous stays we went to rooms that had a balcony and overlooked either the garden or the water and we enjoyed spending time there in the evenings. When we asked if there was another room like ours with a view or balcony we were told that all Family Oasis have the same “view” (maintenance area/no balcony). Also, housekeeping left a lot to be desired. All 3 nights we had to request to have the bunk beds done (they would only put the sheet that covers the mattress and nothing else). One day they didn’t even leave us towels, I had to go to the front desk when we came back at night to get towels for the family to take a shower. I was told that they prioritize the rooms that are checking in Finally, even though they charge a $55/day resort fee you still have to pay separate for everything (to play pickleball you have to pay $10 per paddle per person). Not sure we will be coming back unfortunately.

Everything you need is right there, but the sunset townhouse was a a bit old tired(doors were tough to open and furniture was stained)

Spacious unit and beautiful grounds/waterview. Room cleanliness and Details could be attended to more. Noisy at night as parties around the harbor village went on way past 10:00pm.

Great central location if you want to travel between Islamorada, Marathon and middle Keys. The resort itself is very nice & clean but the common areas are a bit smaller than I thought. It boosts of amenities like kayaks and paddles boards (which they do have) but you only get to go around a small contained lagoon area which is pretty boring. Nice for kids, not so much for adults. The pools are nice but nothing special. We stayed in room 4208 and unfortunately discovered immediately that we could hear conversations VERY clearly in room 4210 and other noise that you wouldn't expect to hear so audibly at a $500/night resort. Getting sleep was also challenging due to the AC that sounds like a freight train. If you're a light sleeper bring ear plugs or sleep aids! We ventured out every day so the resort, for us, didnt offer a lot of amenities that made us want to stick around. We got one meal from the Tiki Bar and a couple drinks; very over priced and not that good. I recommend leaving the resort and check out places off site. Island Fish Co and Burdines were great! For the price point this just didnt hit the mark for us.

What we didn’t like was that a freezer was never fixed properly and the queen bed was terribly uncomfortable. The tv in the second bedroom we were never able to get to work due to not being able to access the proper channel. The hot water ran out in the shower after one shower which was a downfall when you have more than one person to get ready. Overall very nice resort, just a few things that would have worked better for our family.

The hotel is perfect for family. They have a lot of outdoor activities and very good restaurants. Our room and bathroom are tiny. The shower was not good, and the water was cold. We stayed next to the elevator, so there was a lot of noise.

WiFi was slow and inconsistent. Many items lacking maintenance- master whirlpool tub was non functioning; limited hot water and low water pressure; hole in screen door; broken shades and doors: dirty upholstery (couch); ice machine finicky; no skimmer net to clean pool. We enjoyed the resort overall but would not choose to stay in this type of house again given the lack of maintenance and the high cost. It was not worth it. There were many issues that should and can be easily addressed.The staff were very nice.

Liked the adult pool. Disliked poor noise insulation in room. Could hear toilets flushing throughout night, snoring in next room, and babies crying. Drinks were over priced. Breakfast buffet for two was $82 for average buffet without an omelette station. Dinner at their restaurant was just average.

I am no stranger to traveling. I have watched lots of shows that mention this place and really highlighted the resort. I checked in very late on Saturday where I stood at the front for 10 minutes before anyone came to acknowledge me at check in. I was than given the wrong room information that consisted of staying at the marina village. We drove over there unpacked all our stuff from the car make our way up to the room and the keys didn’t work. That meant lugging everything back down reloading it to the car and driving back to the front check in. I was given the right room and back directions on how to get there. It was a terrible experience for check in to getting to my room. Once in the room I paid for beach view and had a room with pool view. No big deal I didn’t feel like being an annoying guest. We had flys coming out of shower drain the entire stay I reported it and maintenance came with a plunger. It didn’t take of the problem. The room was nice and comfortable with a nice balcony short walk to adult pool. The bed and pillow situation was completely uncomfortable I was actually ready to go home and sleep in my own bed by 3rd day. For the type of resort you think your staying at it definitely doesn’t have the customer service I was expecting. I won’t stay there again.

Family had a great time! Staff was outstanding.

Day was great. The service was terrible. Took forever to check in. He tried to charge me extra nowhere to get food after 9 o’clock, took an hour to get a sandwich in the morning and the sandwich was stale and hard and cost $50

The front desk attendant barely acknowledged us when we arrived. No one seemed to be informed when we asked questions. Tv did not work so had to have someone come up. The room did not have any glasses and had to ask for coffee. Soap dispenser in our shower was broken. Only person who seemed knowledgeable was Arno at the bell desk. They could not explain charges. Way over priced for what we received. I am all about customer service and it lacked greatly.

The resort is stunning and unique, but staff professionalism needs improvement. Check-in took 38 minutes, and some staff lacked enthusiasm. Morning shift bartender (from Turkey) had an incredibly bad attitude. Service isn’t always welcoming.

We had issues with our room but the Manager Brad more than stepped up to the plate to resolve it and made our time there memorable and special in what it a fabulous family resort in the Keys. The resort is extremely person centred and friendly for family with an abundance of things to do.

Adult Pool was the Best! The Dolphin interaction available was excellent! The “Help” available through texting was the BEST! I would definitely recommend this place!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. It has great views and very relaxing . drinks and food was good too. Only issues we had was trying to get Ubers from there to other islands. Would highly recommend renting a car . It’s a great resort to stay to get away from. everyday life.

The resort was amazing on so many levels. Staying at the Sunset Village was quiet, peaceful, and serene. The sunsets were beautiful and overlooking the Gulf was wonderful. The main resort had anything you wanted and everything was in walking distance.

Great stay! Very clean room, awesome pool. And duck key is a great spot to be located to explore the keys as well.

The only complaint I can have, as the hotel staff and facilities are wonderful, are the lack of food options in the evening. The on property restaurant is beautiful, but not suitable for dining every night, especially when travelling with young kids or teens. Therefore, you're forced to drive at least 15 mins to go off site to eat. There is a good place around the corner, but, again, who wants to eat there every night? The hotel, itself, the staff, grounds, pools , landscaping etc., get my thumbs up!

Good: dolphin connection, pools, available activities, food at tiki bar, greeters, nice shower and bathroom, concept of bracelet keys Not so great-bracelet keys quit working frequently, toilet wouldn't flush one night all night, sofa bed very uncomfortable, property too bif to get aroind on foot, golf carts not always available, parking far away, ice not working in our area.

Great resort, amazing view of the ocean, lot of activities for kids and really awesome restaurants. Food was particularly very good at Anglers and Ale.

Restaurant under renovation and it was not disclose to us prior to arrival. Only one restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the tiki bar for bar bites. Bathroom smelled. Room comfortable and close to the pool and lagoon. Rained all Saturday non stop so we couldn’t enjoy facilities, asked front desk if we can check out a night earlier and book it for the next week because it made no sense to stay trapped in a hotel room all day and they decided not to allow us so we had to stay there watching tv all day in a beach resort… unheard off. Bellmans and valet attendants were amazing friendly and the anglers restaurant team too. Got a 20off coupon as Expedía VIP which I totally forgot to show to the anglers people and when got back to the hotel under a very bad wether raining I called the front desk to ask if had to go back to anglers for the credit or since it was changed to my room can get they credit and they refused. Really running under the rain not the best time to be thinking about a coupon.

Don’t eat at their fine dine restaurant, poor prepared food at high prices and if you do don’t ask for the seafood tower is definitely not worth the money

The hotel claimed that there were 6 restaurants and that they would be open until 10. There were only 2 "restauranrs" at the resort which were just tikki huts that served food. They had one real restaurant "on the property" but you had to take a golf cart, car or walk 15 minutes there. The website claimed the pools were open until 10 but closed at dusk, 5:30. The hotel claimed to have 5 pools but we only found 2. Staff was nice and hotel was clean but so disappointed in the false advertising.

Absolutely beautiful top of the line place to stay. But super expensive per night, and food and drinks were super high prices. $20plus burgers, $20plus mixed drinks, served by a crabby waitress.

The lagoon was this properties redeeming feature. Service for food and drinks as 3/5, however value was 1.5/5. Pool is significantly undersized for the property size and was very over crowded. Staff were a 4/5 with most being 5/5 and a few less pleasant interactions.
