Had a lovely 6 night stay here. Staff very helpful. Place was spotless but hotel in need of real updating. Lots of rust at door of bathroom/shower and just generally run down. Saying this though I would stay again for a short stay. Parking was good and also being near to tram into Orleans was great too.

Booked room with Lanai Balcony, given room without balcony as reception explained that my room had been allocated to someone else. Lift was broken so my wife who uses a stick to walk had to climb 4 fights of stairs to second floor. I had to carry all luggage up the stairs. I I had been informed the lift was not working. I would have booked elswere. The room was clean and compact but excellent for the price, although no balcony as booked and no working lift ruined my visit.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff were polite, but the building itself is in a very poor and neglected condition. The rooms are extremely small and do not correspond to the impression given by the photos, which appear to be taken with strong wide-angle techniques. The spaces are cramped, uncomfortable and unsuitable for a normal stay. The bathroom and shower were so small and unpleasant that it was impossible to take a shower without touching everything around and feeling dirty rather than clean. There was no proper place where a guest could sit with a laptop and do even a small amount of work. This is not a minor inconvenience, it makes the room practically unusable for anyone who needs basic comfort or functionality. Even worse, the property hosts animals, and during our stay we found evidence of animals relieving themselves in the corridors (see the picture attached). Another serious issue is the lack of proper natural light and ventilation. The window surface appears to be far below any reasonable legal standard for natural lighting and air circulation. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff were kind. Unfortunately, kindness cannot compensate for a run-down building, misleading room presentation, lack of usable space and a general feeling of dirt and discomfort. I would never stay here again and I strongly advise other travelers to avoid it.
