Kimpton Sawyer Hotel by IHG

We had a quick one-night stay for an event and really enjoyed it! We stayed on the 12th floor with a view facing Kaiser and the train tracks, which made for a fun city view. The interior upgrades were beautiful and made the room feel fresh and modern. They also had a cute little event set up in the lobby with yummy snacks, which was such a nice touch. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely come back!

The bed was so bad, so hard, I had to go straight to the chiropractor after my week’s stay. The food and service at the restaurant were very uneven. Shout out to Juvanah (sp?) and Jenae for being the exceptions. Please fire the tall young woman with long hair and a septum ring who pretends to be a hostess. She left me standing in front of the sign saying “please wait to be seated” for ages while she helped the woman who had come after me, then asked me if I needed something? Even though this was the third night in a row I was coming down for dinner? My biggest complaint is that although they use a text communication system, as is more and more common these days, they didn’t bother to let me know that the pool was closed all week. That was my main reason for choosing this hotel, so that sucked, not to mention the time I took to shower, get into my bathing suit, put sunscreen all over my entire body, only to go down and be met by a sign saying the pool was closed. Totally unnecessary. Would have been so easy and obvious to send everyone a text. Housekeeping was excellent.

Everything about our stay perfect! Staff was very friendly. Wine hour in the lobby was great to mingle with other guests. So, much fun!

We ate in the restaurant connected to the lobby. It was just okay and VERY loud.

We arrived early and had to wait 11/2 hours before we could check-in. We were told our suite was currently being cleaned, but it did not appear to have 11/2 hours worth of cleaning.There was dust on the window sills. Our suite was located on a corner, so we had traffic noise coming from both sides.
