Aminess Vival Port9 Resort

Having read the mixed reviews on here, my wife and I were a bit anxious on arriving. Those giving negative reviews for this place need a reality check in my opinion! Example, complaining about the rooms being 'standard' and plain....when staying in a setting like this, you shouldn't be spending much time in your room! I'll admit we have stayed in swankier and more polished places but we were more than satisfied with this resort. Pros: Location is picturesque and quiet, staff are great (especially the guy in the G&T bar), beach is right in front of the pool, the resort is basically the only accomodation of note around (so feels very private), breakfast is a great buffet with lots of choice, water taxi is €3 each way and every half hour until 10pm, large supermarket right across the road, lovely waterside promenade for an evening stroll, lots of amenities, in-pool bar, relaxed vibe Cons: Dinner is a fairly average buffet (recommend getting the water taxi over to Korcula old town for dinner), only bottled water at dinner which you have to buy is a bit stingy (versus tap water dispensers available at breakfast) Recommend getting a taxi from the port when arriving as although it's lovely arriving by boat, reception is at the front of the resort so lugging your cases from the back where the water taxi drops you is effort (taxi was €12). Early June during the week seemed a good time too as it wasn't too busy. There were no charges for loungers either (1 review said there was).

Not so good for older teenagers as the pool isnt deep. There is no bar in the evenings so after trips to town fir dinner we just sat on our balcony. Great breakfast with fantastic views and the beach is perfect for snorkeling. Great location too. Had to request a kettle in room.

Pleasantly surprised after reading bad reviews. We had a delux junior suite, which was spacious and clean, recently decorated and comfy beds. A bit dated in terms of furniture style but we were happy overall. The reception is pretty scruffy and the gardens need attention, the canteen is dated inside but outside it has nicer furniture and a gorgeous view of the bay. You can get a water taxi across to the town really easily, only €3 too. But the thing we really disliked was pool , in itself it’s ok but it’s too small and they play LOUD awful dance music from 10am to 7pm. We complained daily to get it turned down! It’s not a nice family relaxing pool vibe!

Great family hotel. We had half board as was very little difference in price to bed and breakfast. Food offering was great. The cove the hotel is situated in is beautiful and sea so clear, gorgeous to swim in. Only criticism is the way the pool is run. Despite rules stating leaving towels to save sun beds is not allowed the beds are gone by 9.15am. No hotel staff police it so no one removes towels to give beds to guests, so empty beds and people waiting. Needs to be sorted as not very many beds as it is. It didn’t spoil our holiday but it could be managed better.

Un hotel correcto, solo reseñaria como punto negativo que haya un camping dentro del resort, mezclando ambos tipos de huespedes en los servicios comunes, haciendo imposible disponer de una tumbona en las piscinas, por cierto es necesario controlar las tumbonas de la playa, no entiendo que yo pagase las tumbonas y la cama y a partir de las 12:00 horas no se controlase y la gente las usase gratuitamente

This is a family resort, meaning be ready for kids screaming and running all over the place and pool area. This is not for couples who wants to relax between discovering Korúla. The resort is a bit worn down and some things are not working. Breakfast is buffet and typical for mediums resorts. not many item are fresh made/prepared. Dinner at night is also buffet. No a la carte. Pool areas are reasonable - but pool bar is not a visit worth. The staff are undertrained and not able to make decent cocktails or drinks due to lack of training. Staff at poll or restaurants are lacking motivation. Best motivated staff is at reception.

The resort is quite nice, but it is a BIG ISSUE that you need to be in a queue before 9 o´clock in the morning to get a sunbed by the pool. There is a definite need to increase capacity by the large pool area, or build an additional one. Also negative that you need to pay for sunbeds by the sea despite them being part of the hotel. Great breakfast. The design of the bathrooms - a disaster. Would have liked a broader range of lunch alternatives (lighter meals)

Riesen Anlage. Toller Strand. Sehr gutes Essen. Parken umsonst. Sehr zuvorkommender Service an der Rezeption.

Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses mais Les criques autour de l’hôtel et appartenant à l’hôtel ne sont pas nettoyées, il y avait des bouts de verre et des déchets ce qui rend la baignade peu agréable malgré la beauté du paysage

Generell sehr zu empfehlen: Jedoch zu wenig Liegen am Pool, Essen meist nur lauwarm, Sauberkeit der Damentoiletten am Pool lässt zu wünschen übrig. Meist schon am Vormittag stark verschmutzt und trotz Hinweis ans Personal keine Reinigung erfolgt. Getränke überteuert. Super Ausflugsziele über die Wassertaxis! Personal in allen Restaurants sehr gut.

Das Hotel liegt sehr nah am Hafen. Vor Ort sind genügend Parkplätze vorhanden (kostenlos zu unserer Reisezeit). Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und es ist alles vorhanden, was benötigt wird. Das Resort bietet einige Freizeitmöglichkeiten.

This hotel resort proved to be a wonderful choice. The room is simple, but large. The upkeep on the property is very nice. We wish we had scheduled more than one night on the island and at this resort.

Fabulous complex with great facilities. We had a fabulous meal at restaurant Kobana Lanterna and Marco was an amazing host , sharing all the traditional recipes used to cook there. Thank you Marco for making us feel so welcome. Would love to stay here in warmer weather. The outside appearance of some of the buildings was a bit off putting as they look very dated, but the rooms were modern & beautifully clean & presented. The breakfast was one of the best I have seen in years. There was nothing that wasnt provided for including gf croisants and brrad for me. X

We had a fantastic family holiday. We stayed in a family room which was compact but clean and adequate for our needs. The location is stunning and it’s so easy to get into Korcula Old Town by taxi boat or walking. We’d highly recommend this hotel to families.

The pictures of the hotel on Expedia were misleading. We expected a nice property with a large pool or spacious beach area for guests, but the reality was quite the opposite. Upon arrival, we found a motel-style hotel with buildings that looked old and tarnished. The overall property felt more like a campground—and in fact, it is also a campground—so despite paying a high rate, you end up sharing the pool and beach with people who aren’t necessarily hotel guests. While the units themselves were renovated and clean, the bathroom design was poor—shower water leaked all over the floor. On a positive note, the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Renata, in particular, was wonderful and gave us excellent recommendations for beautiful beaches nearby when we told her we didn’t like the property’s beach.

Everything was excellent … staff ,food , room , cleanliness, scenery… georgeous place to relax, very quiet and friendly. Location of this hotel is amazing -seaside - just in front of the beach and and easy access to the sea- just take a water taxi for 3 euro from the ferry Korcula old town that brings you right in front of the hotel 👍in less then 10 min (water taxi goes every 30 min )- amazing service. We stayed in the junior sweet room with balcony - room was huge and beautiful. Across the road is a store - just in case you need to buy anything. The only one and only one complain / very unique negative experience for us was that not even tap water was served during dinner time - all drinks ( including water ) had to be purchased.

Beliggenheden er rigtig god og servicen meget sød. Men poolen havde grønne alger på indersiden, så den var ikke rengjort og solsengene ved poolen havde huller i sæderne, så man kunne synke igennem og håndklæderne sad fast. Det var utjekket. Men det værste var at airconditioningen lugtede af kloak. Receptionen var meget sød til at finde et andet værelse, men det lugtede også. Så selv om servicen var god, valgte vi at flytte efter en uge og blev ikke de planlagte 2 uger. Normalt skulle vi have betale et gebyr på én ekstra dag, fordi vi forlod hotellet i utide, men pga. omstændighederne blev vi ikke pålagt gebyret. Det var også fint.

My sister and I spent three days at this hotel and highly recommend it. Its location is excellent. You can get to the downtown area by walking 25 minutes, taking a water taxi for 3 euros (Sept. 2024’s price), taking an Uber, or driving your own car which would have gotten to the island by ferry. The hotel is situated on the sea and the resort is beautiful. When we first saw the room we thought it was basic and it was but it was good size and was clean, comfortable, and everything we needed. We liked the rooms and loved the grounds.

Loved the pool, breakfast and size of room. Only complaint was that the bed was not comfortable (would be nice to have extra pillows)

Hotel with two rooms have two bathrooms is excellent future . We enjoyed beaches and awesome affordable taxi boats . Hope prices will not change . Overall we have great experience

Beautiful. Lots to do here and very convenient transport to Korcula and other islands. Lovely room with a great view.

Staff were nice. Breakfast staff super friendly. Rooms were NOT like photos. Air con didn’t work. Tiny, dark, super outdated! I ordered a family room . It was 2 twin beds and 2 small couches that turned into bed. Super expensive for what you get!

Wonderful staff, had an amazing time!

Pictures on the website are not same , the property is much older than it appears in the pictures. The worst part the property ground is shared with a campsite , not good at all. Staff in the main office were great though .

Strange place. Some staff very friendly, others just rude. Resort ‘suites’ are quite basic, buffet was ok. No pool towels at lunchtime - they had ‘run out until tomorrow’ - really?! Not enough loungers around the pool or shade. OK overall but not worth the money paid sorry

Property is gorgeous, very walkable to old town. Staff was very nice and accommodating. It was fun to rent bikes from Manuela to go ride to the nearby wineries. Would highly recommend!

The staff at were very friendly and promptly responsive to all our requests. The facilities were great!

I'd question if this is a 4 star but its a sold 3 star. The location is great and is walkable to the Old Town and has its own water taxi stop which is a great bonus. Staff were friendly and the breakfast very good

If you are going for a family vacation, this place is great! We were there without kids so it might not be where we return. Still, the convenience of the store across the street and the ferry (3€) to Old Town, made it a very convenient place to stay.

Bel hébergement surtout pour les familles. La vieille ville est accessible en taxi par pour 3 euros mais attention car il ne finit pas toujours à 22hrs comme on se l’ai fait dire. Il est arrivé qu’un soir nous avons du revenir en taxi car il avait terminé à 20hrs et personne ne le savait donc on a attendu 1h30 pour rien

Dejlig strand, hyggelig hotel, mad kunne være bedre, morgenmaden var skuffende og mad på de forskellige restauranter var af kedelig. Men dejlig atmosfære og fint beliggenhed. Taxibåd til byen er hyggeligt og koster €3 hver vej pp

Felt quite basic. The ‘restaurant’ was similar to a canteen. Lots of choice of food at breakfast & dinner - but poor quality & waiters looked disinterested. Bedroom door could not be closed, as bed too large for the room - & because it opened on to the wardrobe … the wardrobe door couldn’t be fulled opened either, which restricted how it could be used. Convenient location to explore Korcula - either by walking along coast or taxi boat.
