Beautiful hotel. One of the very few hotels with a proper beach (not just rocks with stairs into the water). Bus stop is right across the resort. Nice dining options at the resort and within the walking distance. One thing to be aware of is that the hotels gym is way below expectations. Few older machinea and 1 set of dumbbells. This is the inly thing they need to upgrade.

This is a 5 star hotel with all the amenities. It has outdoor and indoor pool. Amazing breakfast buffet and views to go with it. There is a us that takes you to old downtown right in front of the hotel. This is the place to stay in Dubrovnik

It's a fantastic facility, especially if you sign up for V Service. It's got 3 restaurants, a huge private beach area, bus stop right outside (but we used Uber), and the pools (indoor and outdoor) are fantastic. Live music every night in the bar, jet skis for rent, excellent views of the sunset, very close to the marina, what more could you ask for? Sure you can't walk to Old Town, but you aren't surrounded by hoards of people and traffic either. It's a true full featured resort feel here, so if you want the old world experience where you stay, this isn't for you. If you want a place that gives you easy access to Old Town but also a quiet place to relax on the beach or poolside, this is the spot. I didn't think I would love it as much as the Hotel Belvue, but I loved it even more.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Particularly at check in and at breakfast the service was excellent. We had a V level room which was very nice, with nice fittings in the room. We used the pool, spa, and terrace. There is a boardwalk very close to the hotel which we enjoyed. We used the bus service extensively to get to the old town. There were a couple of very minor points which we didn’t like the glasses in our room were not changed daily towards the end of the stay where they had been at the start. There was a coffee machine and kettle next to each other but only one plug. This was under a wooden fitting so very difficult to access. These were minor points, where improvements could be made. Overall the hotel and staff were fantastic. The views from the lobby and pool were beautiful.

Upon check in you are greeting by lots of amazing staff members. Super friendly and cheerful. There are super nice terraces and a great bar. The beach are and the pool is very nice. The breakfast in the mornings was absolutely amazing! You had all kinds of choices and even smoothies!!! Which hotel does that? A few of the downsides is Upon entering the hallways to get to the room there is a musty smell which is definitely the carpets in the hall ways. They are definitely worn out. The hallways have common spaces and the furniture is quite embarrassing.. two chairs just facing each other not even with a table in between. The rooms are also lacking in character and quality. Best way to be able to describe the furniture is a college dorm room. As most people really won’t spend a lot of time in their rooms you can easily overlook it. However this is something ownership should definitely address the quality of the rooms. The beds are very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. And was well equipped. Overall it’s a very nice hotel if you want to relax. I do suggest not booking on the 5th floor as the restaurant is right above you and opens by 6 am the restaurant opens and you can hear all the furniture moving around. I was moved to a different floor and there was absolutely no issue after. Staff was amazing and made the stay worth it.

However, the elevator was out of service for a couple of days, which is unusual for a pricey hotel to not be able to respond promptly. The water in both pools is not heated, which is not ideal for children. There’s no kids’ area, and the buffet is small and the food is not very good. You’re paying for the views, not for anything else. The room is spacious, and the cleaning service is superb. However not a 5 star in my opinion.

We stayed 7 nights. The rooms are actually much nicer than on the Expedia pictures. Despite having a little ant issue the property is very nice and has an awesome view from each room. Breakfast buffet is very nice, enjoy it from the terrace if you can. The SPA area requires a bit of an update. The Maro world kids club is awesome our little girl loved it. Overall a great location and extremely nice, helpful staff! Thanks for the warm welcome! Adrian

Exceptional staff, excellent food, all the facilities you could hope for, restaurants, bars, spa, gym and the elevator takes you straight to the beach. V-Level was well worth the upgrade. Vedran, Ivan & Marija looked after us so well throughout the trip. Bus to old town right outside the hotel that leaves every 10mins for just a couple of Euros. Would come back in a heartbeat.

More like a three star hotel. Very run down in the hallways and room. Person smoking on balcony next to ours and smoke enters. Very basic accommodation for the price. Pain falling off wall. Moldy. Would not return

The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful at this property. The hotel is located in a very convenient area and the facilities were excellent with stunning views. There were always plenty of free loungers by the pool and beach areas. My only suggestion would be that the bins in the rooms should be emptied each day as they were left full of rubbish throughout our stay.

Thank views from the lobby are outstanding. Service was excellent. Although the rooms are large in size with beautiful balconies, they are dated. The headboard was peeling, but the bed was very comfortable breakfast was amazing. But they could use new towels

Hallways are dated and need maintenance but the rest of the hotel was excellent. I think the hallways to the room need to be well kept as the lobby and other common areas. Everything else was excellent! Second time here and would come back.

Great stay at the Valamar. I got an oceanfront suite and the view was amazing. The air conditioner did not cool properly and upon request they will turn it down. It was saying it was 20 but it was really like 24 and too hot. They will come and have the ability to turn it down though. I got the room and half board which included breakfast and dinner and the buffet was really good, live music and a great view from the deck. All in all a great place to stay.

The property had fantastic views. It was very clean. We were however given a room with a birds nest in the balcony and the birds were flying in and out. The room was also very noisy and we couldn’t sleep that night. When we spoke to the receptionist the next day we were told to call them in the night and that they would investigate where the noise came from. I am not sure how they would go and knock on doors at 2:30 am to check where the noise was coming from! Eventually we were moved to a different room and there was no noise there and we were able to sleep. If we were to pay for a 5 star hotel the minimum we would expect is a good nights rest. Breakfast though many options, does not have many if you are vegetarian or vegan. The room itself was clean, the shower and bath were great.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and looks incredible. Our room had a seaview but was mostly blocked by large area of the terrace below, so seaview was minimal which was a bit disappointing. However, for what we paid, it was very good value for money. The cleanliness of the hotel need improving for a 5* hotel. The restaurant had drainpipes with water leaking, though not obvious. There were marks on the cups where we had breakfast. Considering people there are on holiday, the rooms where cleaned rather early (around 8.30). We signed 'do not disturb' on the door, the cleaners did not clean our rooms properly which was disappointing.

I would love to have been able to give the hotel 5* as there were so many great things about it. The location must be the best in Dubrovnik - wonderful sunset views across the sea; the premium rooms are fantastic - large rooms with big comfortable beds; lovely bathroom and shower / bath. But the issue we had is that when we booked through Expedia, we specifically chose a hotel with a double and a twin room. We contacted the hotel immediately after booking to reserve a twin room, only to be told that it would be allocated on arrival at the hotel and there was no guarantee. On arrival the reception staff stated that there were no twin rooms available (“the hotel is very popular”). Our two adult children would need to share a bed which was not acceptable to us, and had we known this we would’ve chosen an alternative hotel. After stating that we were not happy the receptionist managed to find a twin room which was four floors below where we were, which in itself wasn’t an issue. However, the room was a lot smaller than the room we had booked, was right next to the gym and underneath the restaurant so it was very noisy with chairs scraping and people bouncing on running machines. When we raised this with the hotel staff they told us that it was an equivalent standard to the room that we had booked, although there was no comparison to the double room. The staff member seemed unwilling to help and this really spoiled our holiday.

Genuinely impressive stay. Hotel was beautifully presented and the service from every single member of staff was outstanding. Breakfast on the private V level terrace overlooking the sea was super relaxing. Room was clean, well decorated and had a private balcony. Definitely will be back. I think our experience was better for the fact the the hotel was relatively quiet. In mid summer I imagine it would get much busier. We visited mid May.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the President Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was on another level — warm, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make us feel at home. Upon check in you are greeting by lots of amazing staff members. Super friendly and cheerful. There are super nice terraces and a great bar. The beach are and the pool is very nice. The breakfast in the mornings was absolutely amazing! You had all kinds of choices and even smoothies!!! Which hotel does that? A few of the downsides is Upon entering the hallways to get to the room there is a musty smell which is definitely the carpets in the hall ways. They are definitely worn out. The hallways have common spaces and the furniture is quite embarrassing.. two chairs just facing each other not even with a table in between. The rooms are also lacking in character and quality. Best way to be able to describe the furniture is a college dorm room. As most people really won’t spend a lot of time in their rooms you can easily overlook it. However this is something ownership should definitely address the quality of the rooms. The beds are very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. And was well equipped. Overall it’s a very nice hotel if you want to relax. I do suggest not booking on the 5th floor as the restaurant is right above you and opens by 6 am the restaurant opens and you can hear all the furniture moving around. I was moved to a different floor and there was absolutely no issue after. Staff was amazing and made the stay worth it.

This is an excellent hotel choice for anyone coming to Dubrovnik that wants a luxurious relaxing experience on the beach with the option to have quick transportation to the old town walls and other areas of Dubrovnik. The views along the coastline are stunning, the beach has many umbrellas and chairs with full service, and the rooms are spacious with a large balcony overlooking the coastline. The breakfast buffet had many options including a fresh omelet station. I haven’t seen many breakfast setups as large as this one with as many options and the food was delicious. All of the service members were polite and helpful. I would definitely come back to stay here again!

Our experience at the Hotel President Valamar in Dubrovnik was truly exceptional, thanks to both the incredible service and thoughtful amenities that catered to the whole family. One of the most remarkable moments of our stay was when I lost my phone in the sea. After being submerged for three full days, I had little hope—but the hotel’s diving team managed to retrieve it from deep water. Their dedication, professionalism, and care went far beyond what anyone could expect, and I’m still amazed by their efforts. Equally impressive was Maro World, which made our daughter’s stay absolutely magical. The facilities were engaging, safe, and full of creative activities that kept her happy and entertained every day. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was enjoying herself so much in such a fun, well-supervised environment. Lovely hotel with great facilities but service misses on a few fronts. Self service buffet breakfast is fine with lots of choice but for some reason coffee had to be requested and, while you self served tea, there was no milk provided without asking, then waiting to see if they remembered to bring it or not (it cannot be a surprise that Brits like milk in their tea surely!) No tap water option at dinner- it’s €7 for a bottle of water…

Beautiful resort with gorgeous views and clam scenic water. Food options were a bit pricey but delicious. Also the resort never scheduled our airport transport which made the start to our honeymoon a bit rocky, but they made up for it with a room upgrade and dinner voucher. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia. If you’re looking for a more quiet and peaceful experience. If you’re looking for a party environment I would stay closer to old town.

Hotel was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were fortunate to be given a room upgrade, which was a very pleasant surprise. Hotel facilities were excellent, and all staff were very friendly giving the right balance between service and space to relax. Good location to visit the Old Town in Dubrovnik, with a very convenient and cheap bus option into Town, making it easy for trips or just to eat somewhere outside of the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Staff were excellent, extremely kind and helpful. All staff went above and beyond to make our staff exceptional! The entrance to the hotel is outstanding with an incredible view of the sea the minute you walk in. We were greeted extremely well upon our arrival - extreme apologies I’m not sure of the lady’s name. She showed us to our V level room, which was readily prepared with complimentary gifts to celebrate our wedding anniversary and big birthday. She showed us how we select a scent of our choice from our room and we were greeted with a wonderful sea view. This wasn’t an interrupted sea view as there were lots of trees and a view of a car park but the sea view was wonderful all the same. We had breakfast every day where there was a good range of options. The lift from our area of the hotel was slightly temperamental but we only had to travel a couple of floors so wasn’t a problem for us. Whilst there, we had spa treatments which were excellent and used the hotel pool. As part of the V Level package we had use of a cabana, just be mindful this is first come first serve - there are more available around the beach area. Dubrovnik has one sandy beach which requires a ferry trip all other beaches are pebbly. We had a meal in the Momenti restaurant with a 5 course tasting menu and bottle of wine. Our service was excellent from Martin and we had an outstanding sunset view completely to ourselves! Overall an incredible city and hotel stay. Thank you all!❤️ Highly recommend!

The staff was fantastic. Everyone from check in to valet to wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. The beach and pool were really nice. The food was a little expensive, but we wanted to eat in the old city so we only ate on property once.

Exceptional staff, excellent food, all the facilities you could hope for, restaurants, bars, spa, gym and the elevator takes you straight to the beach. V-Level was well worth the upgrade. Vedran, Ivan & Marija looked after us so well throughout the trip. Bus to old town right outside the hotel that leaves every 10mins for just a couple of Euros. Would come back in a heartbeat.

I have traveled the world. 21 countries in just 2025. I only stay at luxury hotels. This one is close to the bottom of the list. I paid $900 per night or somewhere around that. After I had already paid, one week before my arrival i was informed that there was a UN meeting in town and we could not be dropped off at the hotel but we could be dropped off 1/2 mile away. I asked if someone could help with our luggage and after much back and forth someone told me they would help me.I had a bad hand and back. Upon arrival no one was there. 1/2 mile away! We called and the front desk very rudely said just walk down the promenade. How in the world do I know where the promenade is. My girlfriend and i had to carry our luggage the whole way without help. Upon arrival there are steps. You think there would be someone there but nope.No one! Every time we went somewhere we had to walk that same 1/2 mile to get a ride somewhere. The room was very hot but the thermostat said 21 Celsius. No way. I build fine custom homes for a living. I rarely complain about anything. I told the front desk that someone said they would help with our luggage and after our arrival we could get transportation from the hotel. She had the audacity to tell me that was not true. So, I showed her the emails they sent me. With an embarrassed look on her face she told me they should not not have told me that. I have absolutely nothing good to say about my experience there except that it is a good location.

I loved this hotel for its amazing sea views, right when you walk into the lobby. It's very clean and comfortable. Great service from the staff. It has easy access to the Old town by city bus for a very cheap price so no need for taxi.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we had a wonderful time! Highlights were the pool - so quiet and peaceful with amazing views. Prosecco at breakfast - never had that before at anywhere I have stayed! The staff - all so attentive and helpful. The only negative I would say is that they didn’t offer complimentary water with dinner. It would have been nice to have had that included (as with breakfast where you could help yourself to bottles). I think that would have been a nice touch. But other than that, it was a perfect stay.

Eine wunderschönes 5 Sterne Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und zuvorkommenden Personal. Grand property. Large and spacious. Direct access to a pebbly shingle beach. Nice friendly staff. Good food at the restaurants although rotating / changing the buffet options would have been good especially for breakfast. Lots of choice. Other tips - Walk along the promenade to Lapad. Walk along the promenade around Coral Bay venue. Take Bus 6 to and from the Old Town. Buy bus tickets from the shop in the hotel. Concierge services in hotel are good to book trips. Nice souvenir shops restaurants especially Asia (great Chinese food) in the small shopping precinct.

Walk along the promenade around Coral Bay venue. Take Bus 6 to and from the Old Town. Buy bus tickets from the shop in the hotel. Concierge services in hotel are good to book trips. Nice souvenir shops restaurants especially Asia (great Chinese food) in the small shopping precinct.

Great stay at the Valamar. I got an oceanfront suite and the view was amazing. The air conditioner did not cool properly and upon request they will turn it down. It was saying it was 20 but it was really like 24 and too hot. They will come and have the ability to turn it down though. I got the room and half board which included breakfast and dinner and the buffet was really good, live music and a great view from the deck. All in all a great place to stay.

Lovely hotel with great facilities but service misses on a few fronts. Self service buffet breakfast is fine with lots of choice but for some reason coffee had to be requested and, while you self served tea, there was no milk provided without asking, then waiting to see if they remembered to bring it or not (it cannot be a surprise that Brits like milk in their tea surely!) No tap water option at dinner- it’s €7 for a bottle of water…

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the President Hotel. Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. The location is top level with the most spectacular sunsets. The only downside is the food. We stayed half board and it was repetitive and low quality. Why they have one person cooking eggs in the morning for 400+ guests is madness… you can imagine the queues!! Also no sign of ice cream on the buffet the week we stayed. Overall great hotel which needs polishing to live up to 5 star rating

Upon check in you are greeting by lots of amazing staff members. Super friendly and cheerful. There are super nice terraces and a great bar. The beach are and the pool is very nice. The breakfast in the mornings was absolutely amazing! You had all kinds of choices and even smoothies!!! Which hotel does that? A few of the downsides is Upon entering the hallways to get to the room there is a musty smell which is definitely the carpets in the hall ways. They are definitely worn out. The hallways have common spaces and the furniture is quite embarrassing.. two chairs just facing each other not even with a table in between. The rooms are also lacking in character and quality. Best way to be able to describe the furniture is a college dorm room. As most people really won’t spend a lot of time in their rooms you can easily overlook it. However this is something ownership should definitely address the quality of the rooms. The beds are very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. And was well equipped. Overall it’s a very nice hotel if you want to relax. I do suggest not booking on the 5th floor as the restaurant is right above you and opens by 6 am the restaurant opens and you can hear all the furniture moving around. I was moved to a different floor and there was absolutely no issue after. Staff was amazing and made the stay worth it.

The staff was fantastic. Everyone from check in to valet to wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. The beach and pool were really nice. The food was a little expensive, but we wanted to eat in the old city so we only ate on property once.

highly recommend nice to be close to old town but not right in the crowds . Bus stop right outside take you directly to old town. we were there in off season so could not enjoy the beach but it looked really nice . V level was definitely worth it . The breakfast buffet was wonderful . The dinner buffet had a lot of options but food was lacking in flavor , thought dinner buffet was a little expensive E40 and it did not even cover still water . overall i would recommend this property to anyone

Very nice hotel . I found the staff very hit and miss either incredibly helpful and lovely or really really rude . Vlato at the bar, Rosario at check in and Vendran at the restaurant for one were amazing and so lovely and a credit to the hotel. But the piano bar manager and some staff , Remi , Andreja and Stefan were a couple of names highlighted. Myself and the group of 30 I was with found to be so rude. It was bizzare. Put a bit of a dampener on our stay. But still had a really good time , it’s a very nice hotel in a great location, value for money isn’t the best but the sunset and views are out of this world with. Lovely pool and beach access
