The hotel and our room were both very nice and comfortable. The hotel is located close to a bus station, which is very convenient to visit the Old Town and other areas. It is also located at a walking distance from the ferry terminal. Please note that the Shuttle Bus from the airport no longer stops next to the hotel, since now only stops at the Old Town (Pile stop) and then at the Bus Terminal. The restaurant had good food and service and they offered us a 10% discount for being hotel guests.

The hotel was a bit away from the old town but with a bus stop right in front that went directly there. The bed was very comfortable, very good shower and great staff. It’s on a very busy street and our room was a bit noisy from traffic. There are not any amenities, except an on site restaurant, but we knew that going in. A good hotel to base your activities from.

The main reason we chose to stay at this hotel was because it has a covered parking for our rented car. In a city like Dubrovnik, this is GOLD! We (a party of 2 couples) booked to stay at 2 different rooms; a Junior Suite and a Senior Suite. The price we paid was very reasonable. Both the suites were incredibly spacious, very modern and comfortable. However, we were a bit shocked that the Junior Suite doesn’t even have any coffee/tea-making facility. We had stayed at another hotel in the same area at the start of our trip in Dubrovnik, but it was nothing compared to City Hotel in terms of value for money. We paid more for that hotel for a room much smaller than these suites. We can highly recommend City Hotel to others visiting Dubrovnik. It’s in a nice area – away from the chaos of the Old City, but still easily accessible by Uber/local buses. You can easily walk to the hotel if you take the airport shuttle bus. Just ask the driver to stop in front of Tommy Supermarket. From there, it’s just a short walk to the hotel.

It's a perfectly fine place to stay. Not exceptional, but nice. The staff were very accommodating and helpful - that stood out. The TV did not work and in the morning the hot water ran out (but came back to at least warm within about 10 min). They allowed us to leave the car parked well after check out. The restaurant is good.

The room was not clean, the curtains were torn down and not fastened to the curtain rod, so they didn’t fully close. On the top shelf of the wardrobe there were someone’s bottles and trash. The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly, just surface cleaning is done. There is no kettle. But overall, it’s fine for staying a couple of days. There is an underground parking garage available for an extra fee – €20 per day. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of this :(

Air conditioning cannot be controlled individually from room. Only runs from central system so that if the system is on heating setting generally, then cannot have cooling a/c in the room (eg. when sun heats it up). Room walls are paper thin - we could hear all the conversations of our neighbours as well as the person they were talking to on their phone!!

The room was beautiful, modern and exceptionally clean with all major facilities accomodated for. Our only issue was that the room temperature could not be adjusted, it was on heat and when we asked if they could modify it we were asked to open a window. Also, our initial booking date needed to be revised and when we tried to contact the property to change the date, there was no helpful response to accomodate, even though it was at least a month in advance, very disappointing, as we had to cancel and rebook the same room. Otherwise close to bakeries, supermarket and bus stop, with only 3 stops to the Stari Grad of Dubrovnik.

The curtains are not blackout curtains and the light on the balcony doesn't turn off. The smoke alarm has a light that flashes every 23 seconds. The light in the closet didn't turn off (so there's a vertical stripe of light that seeps out). Overall, there was a lot of "visual noise" that made it difficult to sleep. The room was too hot and there was no way to lower the temperature. The pillows were those loose, lumpy ones that constantly need scrunching up. The minibar is not a minibar, it's a small fridge (this didn't bother us, but just thought it should be pointed out). The breakfast buffet isn't offered every morning. We checked in around 5pm and they weren't sure whether the buffet would be offered the next morning. We were told that the restaurant would still have "a la carte" items though. We stayed in 2 hotels and 3 guesthouses during our time in Croatia and we found all 3 guesthouses to be much more comfortable.

New hotel offered good rate in non peak seasons. The room is small but new and good condition. If the shower got better glass shield and floor not so wet from the shower would have been even better. The bed sheet and comforter are not as silky smooth and good so there is room to improve. The neighborhood is safe and quiet with good restaurants and supermarkets. 10-15 mins bus ride to old town Good wifi fast check in and staff are friendly and speak good English.

Stayed in superior room...was good size corner unit with large balcony. Clean recently renovated room and bathroom. Comfortable bedding and linens. Would stay again here. Great service over all. One thing to improve....ensure front desk had ability to make change for guests. Multiple times tried to break larger bill into smaller bills and could not. Banks in area were also unwilling. So, this is something guests need.

Lovely hotel, conveniently located in a central location between the Old City and the Marina. City bus line close to the hotel. Staff was professional and courteous, especially Denis at the front desk. Rooms were large and beds were extremely comfortable.

Excellent hotel, great facilities, close to transport and lots of shops etc. Hotel staff did above and beyond as due to a big group of school kids were occupying the entire floor making lots of noise, after we raised our concerns the reception staff quickly moved us to higher floor, in fact offered us to keep our belongings on the 4th floor room that we were given initially but we repacked and took everything with us, amazing gesture. They made sure we were happy at all time.

I recently stayed at this property upon check in the staff seemed extremely disinterested and not welcoming. Upon check out similar. I accidently left 4 items of clothing in the wardrobe of a significant value. When I contacted the hotel the same day they could not find the items however did not convince me they tried hard at all and were very dismissive. Surely every room should be checked upon departure by the staff. I unfortunately have reported this issue to the police as the staff did little to even convince me they cared about the issue and it is theft.

Lovely hotel, conveniently located in a central location between the Old City and the Marina. City bus line close to the hotel. Staff was professional and courteous, especially Denis at the front desk. Rooms were large and beds were extremely comfortable.

City Hotel is a three year old, beautifully built facility. The staff exudes pride in their hotel and jobs and everything is very nice. It’s not as close to old town as I thought but buses and taxis were easy, frequent, and affordable.

Great property, modern, clean and very quiet but does require a quick bus ride if you want to visit the old city. Buses are quick and just outside the hotel. If you prefer to go by foot, allow approx 30 minutes.

Good location for old town. Bus stop outside 1a,1b and 6 goes there. Cheap. Nice restaurant there if you don’t want to travel. Parking underneath is a bonus

The hotel and our room were both very nice and comfortable. The hotel is located close to a bus station, which is very convenient to visit the Old Town and other areas. It is also located at a walking distance from the ferry terminal. Please note that the Shuttle Bus from the airport no longer stops next to the hotel, since now only stops at the Old Town (Pile stop) and then at the Bus Terminal. The restaurant had good food and service and they offered us a 10% discount for being hotel guests.

The curtains are not blackout curtains and the light on the balcony doesn't turn off. The smoke alarm has a light that flashes every 23 seconds. The light in the closet didn't turn off (so there's a vertical stripe of light that seeps out). Overall, there was a lot of "visual noise" that made it difficult to sleep. The room was too hot and there was no way to lower the temperature. The pillows were those loose, lumpy ones that constantly need scrunching up. The minibar is not a minibar, it's a small fridge (this didn't bother us, but just thought it should be pointed out). The breakfast buffet isn't offered every morning. We checked in around 5pm and they weren't sure whether the buffet would be offered the next morning. We were told that the restaurant would still have "a la carte" items though. We stayed in 2 hotels and 3 guesthouses during our time in Croatia and we found all 3 guesthouses to be much more comfortable.

Good property, comfortable beds, staff on the front desk provide outstanding service. The breakfast is ok but not great. I’d recommend you google places to eat around the vicinity. The food options in this part of town are far superior to what you get in the old town.

We, a family of four, stayed for two nights. The hotel feels new and very up to date. The room (with two bedrooms) was big and really comfortable. We took an Uber to the Old town, which is lovely of course, on the first day and walked back. It was quite far after a long day but doable. The breakfast was really good and worth the price I think. We didn’t have breakfast included in the reservation. We spent our second day on the Island of Lokrum just 20 minutes away from the Old Town and I can highly recommend this Island. Beautiful surroundings, lovely swimming opportunities and lots of peacocks roaming around. Perfect daytrip. All in all I can highly recommend this Hotel if you are ok to stay a bit away from the Old town.

Very roomy corner suites as we had three people/room (needed the pullout). Good location a short uber to old town (walkable too but it was very hot). We were in for just one night before flying home. Fridge is hidden in closet FYI. The woman who checked us in could definitely have been more pleasant. Other than that it was perfect.
