Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle

Un poco caro, están bonitos los iglús tienen sauna adentro y es una experiencia estar ahí muy cerca de la villa de Santa, muy bien desayuno y la cena te la obsequian solo cobran la bebida y platos extras, Hugo un chico que habla perfecto español hizo nuestra estancia más agradable.

Excellent place to stay if you want to be away from crowds and near nature. The sky and tree view from the igloo windows and ceiling were fabulous. It was a very peaceful place to stay to watch the snow falling and to view the Northern Lights. The igloo was clean, modern, and roomy enough for two people. The onsite restaurant served excellent food and drinksyet the dinner choices were limited. The included breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had with numerous hot food choices and wonderful blueberry juice. The Staff were amazingly kind and helpful and there was no wait when we needed them. Santa Clause Village is a ten minute walk from the igloos where you will find additional places to eat and a few shops. A highlight was meeting Santa Clause in his charming office (no cost) and standing at the Arctic Circle. There are some additional activities for fees at the Village. Note: If you take the Santa Clause Village Bus from the RVN airport ($9.00 US) you will have a walk to the igloos which is challenging in the snow or mud. It would be helpful if they offered transportation on demand from the bus stop to the igloos in their Polaris. The taxi from the airport is $70.00 US. We also took the Santa Clause Village Bus into the city center of Rovaniemi and took an excellent Northern Lights Tour with Arctic GM Experiences Northern Lights Rovaniemi Guaranteed Viewing and Unlimited Mileage. Our guide was wonderful, and we saw the beautiful lights at the end of the season.

Staff was very excellent. Very helpful and welcoming. Igloo was a bit tight and not well organized for the size. Floor had very nice and appreciated radiant heat flooring. Bathroom has a poor shower design allowing water to escape into main area causing floor rug to get wet. Sauna was excellent even if a little cramped. Igloo has tablet for communication with staff and placing room orders/ requests, however it was hard to get it to come on and work correctly. More over the tablet was tied to the wall and made typing awkward at best with it getting stuck at times. Staff made the stay excellent despite igloo issues. Beware there is no hotel transportation to and from airport or other main locations although the village is a short and comfortable walking distance.

Elizabeth was excellent helping us check in and we ended up upgrading to the jacuzzi. It was well worth it and a wonderful place I was lucky enough to enjoy the northern lights from. Food menu was limited but lovely and reasonable prices including the bar.

Everything was closed because it's September. However I'm pretty sure they make enough the rest of the year to have just enough staff to keep things open. No shuttle service and it's too far from main attractions and food and to get luggage to rooms etc

Tolle Unterkunft, das schlafen unter dem Sternenhimmel ist sooo toll, ein muss für das Weihnachtsmanndorf! Der Aurora Alarm (Weckdienst) ist sehr gut, so verpasst man keine Polarlichter in der Nacht Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr lecker und eine große Auswahl an Finnischen Köstlichkeiten, z. B. eine Blaubeersuppe

Great property. I would recommend getting a room with a hot tub for the total experience!

A wonderful experience. Friendly staff and great food. The inclusion of breakfast and a main meal each day was a wonderful addition.

The igloo was warm. Heated floor was good. Shower was warm. The northern lights alarm was great. Breakfast was nice with good selection.

The staff at the reception was not friendly at all, but the trainee and the restaurant staff were. Food selection is limited, dinner menu doesn’t change. The shower head was blocked with lime scales. And the shampoo and shower gel bottles were not in good condition. That’s why I’ve given poor rating on cleanliness. In terms of location and the surrounding, I would give them perfect 5 stars.

The igloos are clean and relatively new. The staff are friendly and helpful and it’s only a short stroll to Santa’s village. We had a few issues with a leaking hose in the bathroom and a faulty tv. The issue I had was the price doesn’t reflect the experience. It’s a seven star price for a three star accommodation. A price point of $300-$400 a night would be more realistic.

Staff were friendly and accommodating, rooms Were clean and comfortable and it was extremely helpful to have breakfast included as well as the dinner entree.

Very clean room and bathroom. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They even delivered my bag to my room since my arm was injured. Made me feel like a very valued guest

Housekeeping service was just about cleaning the trash bin and replacing the towels. No tidy up the beds.

Room was clean and warm. Breakfast has a lot of variety for buffet style. Great guest service.

An unforgettable experience. We arrived more than two hours earlier than the scheduled checkin time, and was pleasantly surprised to find our room ready. The reception staff were very friendly and asked us if we needed help to carry our luggage to the room. We stayed in a premium igloo room. We found the room to be immaculately clean amidst incredibly beautiful surroundings. The heated floor and the constantly maintained temperature of 22 degrees C kept us comfortable throughout, while the outside temperature hovered between -16 deg C to -20 deg C. We had booked dinner while checking in, and were pleasantly surprised to be told that the main course was complimentary. Dinner was great with reasonably good choice of starters, mains, drinks and desserts. We tried some of the available Lappish delicacies. The cherry on top was the Northern Lights - we did not need to book any Northern Lights hunting tour. We witnessed this marvel of nature from the hotel itself - both out in the open and from within the warm igloo itself. Overall, a superb stay. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time at Santa's igloos. the staff were all really friendly and helpful. the igloo itself was really cute and the underfloor heating useful for getting wet clothing dry really quickly. I didnt realise but we had half board food which was a godsend as the food is very expensive. The breakfast buffet was varied and the dinner selection whilst limited was yummy and all lactose and gluten free. the northern lights alarm was really useful - we got to see them twice during our stay! the mini sledges to help get the children around were helpful. my only criticism was there isnt much storage in the rooms

The igloo is an amazing experience, very cosy. The only negative point is that there are no curtains on the ceiling, so it gets too light in the morning, not good for someone that needs dark to sleep.

まだ、雪が降る前でしたので、サンタクロース村へのアクセスも歩きやすく、周辺観光を堪能することができました。 また、天候が良かったため空全面に広がるオーロラをイグルーに居ながら見ることができました。サンタクロース村から離れているため、空に光が少なかったのが良かったと思います。 朝早くイグルーの外に出るとハスキーの鳴き声が聞こえましたが、概ね静かでした。 朝食ビュッフェはどの料理も美味しく、野菜は新鮮でした。 次は雪の季節に訪れたいと思います。

Love the glass ceiling and we were fortunate to see the northern lights from our room, it was AMAZING !!! Didn't like the 2 twin beds, would be better to have queen bed instead,and their dinner menu/food was really pricey.

Great stay at Santas Artic Igloos. Igloo was lovely, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Great assortment of choices.

The cabin was spacious and clean. The furnishings were good, and the cooling aand heating worked well. The unit was good but entirely too overpriced. The heater made a weird noise all night, the tablet to cominucate with the front desk did not hold a charge and the shower water leaked all over the bathroom floor. Our stay included breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was nice the forst day, but the second day the hotel did not have enough staff to accomodate for the amount of people at the hotel. They ran out of plates, coffee cups, water, and food items and were unable to replace them in a timely fashion. The property is a walking distance from santas village which was nice.

The staff was so welcoming and kind, I felt like I was right at home upon my arrival. I traveled with my son for his birthday trip and they even prepared a small surprise gift for him. Everything was so pleasant and perfect. The room was clean and nice. We even got to see the aurora after setting the aurora alarm on. Thank you for the amazing stay. We will def come back again in the future.

Staff was great!

Overall the stay was what I expected. However, the heater wasn’t working in my igloo and while they were quick to attempt to resolve the issue it took hours for guest services to troubleshoot and remedy the situation. They ended up comping dinner and giving me another suite for the night but then woke me up multiple times the next morning to work while I attempted to sleep. Again, happy for the effort but no one wants to be woken up on their vacation. Positives: their aurora alarm will wake you up in the middle of the night so you don’t sleep through catching them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Property is easy to navigate and is walkable

The location is excellent: the airport is only an 8-minute drive away, and Santa Claus Village is just a 7–10 minute walk. We stayed as two families with three kids, and the hotel’s plastic sleds were a huge convenience, making it easy and fun to get around with the children. Breakfast was satisfying overall. We did have dinner at the hotel one evening; however, the salmon ordered for our child did not taste good, and the meals were generally average. One of the best things about the hotel is, of course, the igloos. Sleeping under the transparent ceiling felt truly magical—watching the stars, and we were incredibly lucky to see the Aurora Borealis from the hotel two nights in a row. The underfloor heating was excellent and kept the bathroom and bedroom floors comfortably warm at all times. While the temperature inside the igloo occasionally felt a bit cool, it was manageable and varied between warm and cooler moments. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with children, thanks to its location and unique experience. Thank you for a lovely stay!

If you're a 5-star type of traveler, this place will disappoint. We stayed in the Igloo but due to light pollution, it's extremely hard to see within the room. The breakfast is what really tanks this place for me. There is no ala carte ordering and no staff members there to greet you guide you on where to sit bring any hot drinks or take a hot drink order when I went up to the only worker who's there during our first day not knowing exactly how they operate, I asked her how do we submit our drink orders is there a waiter that comes to our table and she looked agitated and said no everybody just serves themselves and you cannot order ala car and there's no way the kitchen can order things for you even if you have dietary restrictions. She was very rude and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. We couldn't wait to leave.

Property was brilliant. Staff were professional and helpful at all times. My husband was celebrating a very special birthday and the hotel went out of their way to help make it special. The igloo itself felt special and we were pleased to have had the experience. Restaurant food and breakfast buffet were really good-especially the dinners were fabulous! We had our 5 year old with us and SCV was easily walkable for us plus sledges are provided if needed

We were initially dreading for the worst as the room heating wasn’t working and it was -25C outside. Thankfully staff here really did try and make it comfortable for us until the fuse was eventually replaced. Jani in particular was really good 👍 We were very fortunate to have witnessed the Green Lady so all’s well that ends well.

素晴らしいホテルでした。家族４人で少し狭いかも、と不安でしたが、雰囲気が落ち着いていて、イグルー側は明るくて開放感があり、家族達大喜びでした。 私達は幸運だったのですが、夜にホテルの敷地からオーロラも見られました。サンタクロース村も近く、とはいえ程よく距離が離れていてオーロラも見やすく、最高の立地と思います。

Santa’s igloo’s was an amazing resort to stay at. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. All igloos are all within walking distance to all the attractions and every igloo is very cozy, clean and comfortable. I recommend this resort for anyone looking for an amazing experience viewing the Northern Lights and enjoying the surrounding area.

The igloo was such a unique experience! Unfortunately it was cloudy and raining most of our trip but it was such a cozy stay and walkable to Santa’s village and so many fun activities! We went to the breakfast every morning and the dinner/ drinks in the lobby bar were wonderful! It was definitely a slower season, but the staff was so friendly and pleasant to interact with. Would love to come back for a winter trip one day!

A true winter wonderland getaway! Cold and snowy, but perfect all-around, from the location close to the airport and Santa's Village, to the wonderful igloos, to the views, and the food! Already missing it.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews, when I booked this place in the summer of 2022. But it's a half igloo, it's expensive, but I couldn't wait to give it a try. Yes it is expensive, but I wish we had stayed two nights instead of just one. The 'igloo' part of the 'house' is rather small but enough. The bed there is for two, plenty of space. And then there's another room for the other two with a small window. Then there's a shower/bath and closet. It's cozy and warm. We didn't see the northern lights though, it was cloudy the whole time. But it's ok. It's still pretty at night when all the lights are off. The location is very close to the Santa Claus Holiday Village, but you'd still want to take taxi because you wouldn't want to walk that far with your luggage in the snow. Our reception was EXCELLENT. We were able to check in two hours early! The lady was super nice! There was a cute added two gnomes as a gift. They helped us with our luggage so we don't have to pull them in the snow to our 'room' which is like a duplex but you don't hear the neighbor at all. Service was great, no phones but they respond with the iPad given in the room. We wanted a taxi to go into town and the taxi came very quickly. Breakfast in the morning was also wonderful, plentiful, and delicious and not crowded at all. I would stay here again, but more than just one night, hopefully get it on sale! :)

Very nice hotel. Away from the crowds but within walkable distance from Santa’s village and bus stop that takes you to Rovaniemi center. The igloos are amazing. You can watch the sky and relax thanks to the piece and quite surroundings

We arrived early and the room was not ready yet, then the front office staff was friendly to introduce us the Santa Clause Village. It takes around 10 mins walk from the hotel to the Village - It’s really close to it! The room is clean and eco-friendly! Please ensure you bring your teeth brush or other amenities! Lucky us, we were able to see the aurora night from the hotel - it was not strong but it’s a good start for us in Finland! Breakfast and dinner is included and they are good tho!

Lovely place. Must spend at least one night. They need to add some items to their Food Menu. Too few options. Rest all good. Staff was superb. Place was superb. Close to Santa's village.

This place is good, but for the price the services they offer are not that good, check-in is very late and check-out is very early. For my wife and I, the worst thing about this place is the restaurant service, it is very expensive, and it is incredible how small the portions are, they are practically ridiculous, maybe they take advantage of the fact that once you get there, there are no other options except If you have a vehicle to go out and find another place to eat.

The staff... Omg terrific! The view of the lights when they are on is amazing! Breakfast is ok Diner only had 4 things to choose from wish they had more options. Complementary breakfast abd lunch saves you a ton.

I’m surprised that dinner aside from breakfast is also included in my hotel reservation . The food is delicious and staffs are accommodating.
