När vi kom in i hotellet reception trodde vi först att vi hade kommit fel. Var inte som en traditionell reception. Kändes mera om att komma in i ett varuhus. De flesta hotellen har incheckning kl 15 men här var det kl 16 så vi var flera som vänta. Under hotellet fanns garage för att parkera bilen vilket var behändigt. Vid dincheckningen fick man själv fylla i alla uppgifter och ladda upp dörrkortet samt fick uppgifter via datorn om våning och rumsnummer. Rummet var liksom hela hotellet nytt och modernt men väldigt trångt. Vi hade bokat dubbelrum. Som tur var hade vi bara två handbagageväskor med oss. Större hade inte fått plats. Sängen stod mot fönstret. För att komma till den delen av sängen hade man cirka 15 centimeter till väggen där TV:n var. Kom runt sängen och där var det lika trångt och lätt att trassla in sig i gardinen. Enklast var därför att kliva upp i sängen för att lägga sig. Vi är nu två pensionärer och som tur är var vi inte helt för stela för denna operation. Badrummet och var också väldigt litet med ett minihandfat. Detta var gjort av trä vilket dock var imponerande. Var väldigt mycket folk till frukost och knappast någon plats att sitta på. Stationerna med de olika maträtterna var inte så lätt att hitta till/eller vilken station maträtten/drycken kunde stå vid. För att checka ut fick man åter igen fylla i en hel del uppgifter innan man kunde lägga ifrån sig kortet. Detta kändes omständigt på detta hypermoderna hotell.

Valo is a really nice hotel. They had all the amenities I needed for a relaxing trip ( Bar, Gym, sauna, pool, work and lounge spaces). And the complimentary breakfast buffet at Elo was very nice. There are excellent bus and tram connections to the city and airport. As well as restaurants serving amazing food only 5 minutes by foot.

The wellness center was my reason for booking. It was very busy in the evening, but the morning was sublime! I thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, pool, steam room and sauna. I didn't visit for business but the meeting rooms and work spaces were awesome.

The hotel is different to other hotels with regards to its catering for large work conference type of meetings. This meant that the restaurants was full at both Lunch and dinner. They offered to allow me to eat food in the reception area....I tried to have room service, but there was a very high charge, with the food being very pricey already. Not many food options locally to the hotel, so I had to look further afield. I booked this hotel, over others in the area, due to the pool and spa area that looked very appealing. On check in i was told it was 25 Euros a day to use these areas though, very very disappointing. The gym was free, though, but its a very small area, with a handful of equipment that gets crowded very quickly. Next time I return, I will not look to stay here again.

Stayed at Valo before, and I will most likely stay again! Very nice hotel! Easy parking (although a little expensive) very nice breakfast included, roof top saunas and nice pool indoor, hot tub outside, beautiful in winter! (Extra charge for use of spa area, and for robe/towela..)Nice restaurant, very good food, vegetarian options. Happy hour weekdays and Sunday. Excellent co-working area! One of my favorites with Valo. The only downsides; very small sink in bathroom, and bathroom tiny as well. Room nice and ok in size. Comfy bed. Coffee maker in room. No fridge in my room. Conveniemt to reach by car, but not much around in walking area.

The health club/spa is worth the money because of the proper Finnish saunas and the atmosphere. Nice breakfast with quality vegan options. Room is compact and well thought through. Very convenient with 15-20min drive from Helsinki-Vantaa airport.

The hotel is 20 min by bus from the city center, but well connected to the center and to the airport. The hotel is pretty new and in very good shape. The room was small but had a smart design and was very comfy and cozy. Ok+ breakfast buffet. I was a bit disappointed by the wellness area, which was the main reason I chose this hotel. The atmosphere was not very cozy, I went there in the evening and there were a lot of tipsy people drinking by the pool, and in general it didn’t give me a cozy and relaxing feeling.

Ich hatte einen sehr schönen 4-Tages-Aufenthalt im Oktober 23 im Valo Hotel. Sehr Positiv: - Ich wurde von der Mitarbeiterin (Katri) am Check-In Schalter bestens beraten und konnte ihr einige Fragen zu Aktivitäten und Orten in der Stadt stellen, welche mir alle ausführlich und in gutem Englisch beantwortet wurden. Ich habe mich direkt Willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Positiv: - Ich habe mein Gepäck vor dem Check-In schon im Hotel abgeben können, sodass ich die Zeit bis dahin verbringen konnte ohne alles mit mir mitschleppen zu müssen. - Sehr schöner Wellnessbereich mit Blick auf die Stadt. - modern eingerichtetes Zimmer mit sehr gutem Fernseher, gut durchdachter Lichtsteuerung, genügend Steckdosen und hochwertiger Matratze. Negativ: - Bei Ankunft im Zimmer habe ich im Bad und im Zimmer vereinzelt Haare auf dem Boden vorgefunden, habe mich an die Reinigungsfachkraft gewandt und sie hat sich dann anschließend direkt darum gekümmert. - Der Frühstücksbereich ist deutlich zu klein und man muss Glück haben direkt einen freien Sitzplatz zu finden. Decent 3-star hotel claiming to be 4-star. Since I was expecting a 4-star experience, my review is more critical. The good + Breakfast was the highlight of the stay. Would gladly come back one day to pay for just the breakfast. + Modern scandinavian design. + Check-in & check-out fast and easy through phone and their self-serve kiosks. No queueing. The neutral * Beware that rooms are extremely tiny. * Our room didn’t have a mini fridge, which was unfortunate. I read that some rooms have one and some don’t, so beware that you may not get one. * The sink in the toilet is so small that you can’t even wash your face without splashing water everywhere. The pictures clearly show the size of the sink, but didn’t realize how inconvenient it would be. * Conditioner in the shower was a pleasant surprise, but it was 1% conditioner and 99% water. Rather not have the conditioner as an option at all to avoid the watery disappointment… The bad - We had a window facing other rooms’ windows. This was not clearly stated anywhere, which was disappointing. It was basically equal to no window at all in the room. - We went to the spa early in the morning, only to realize that the hot tub outside was still closed and the steam sauna was off. This was not due to maintenance or such. If you are claiming that the spa opens at 8AM, I would expect the facilities to be ready for guests by that time. - The HDMI-TV outlet didn’t work in the room. - Air vents were extremely dusty in the room.

The reception were helpful and pleasant. Staff kept the reception area clean and presentable. Cleanliness of the room was mediocre as I found multiple hairs from the previous clients around the bathroom and floor. Also, found a small dead mosquito or fly on the blanket. Floor of the room was not in best shape, as stains can be found. Soap dispensers were not refilled, even though I removed and opened them from the shelf/bracket. Overall, I give it 3 stars.

I found the self check-in quite convenient. The room was very small, which is good to know in case someone is claustrophobic. I thought that the price of the room included the rooftop sauna and hot tub but it did not. There was an added expense of $20 (euro) per guest for visiting the Wellness area. I booked through Expedia and the room description described including access. The ladies restroom in the Wellness area was very unclean but everywhere else that we visited including the room was clean.

Fijn hotel met veel en fijne faciliteiten. Receptie moeilijk bereikbaar, maar als je ze te pakken hebt, snelle service. WC en ventilatierooster in kamer niet schoon helaas, maar de rest wel. Parkeren zeer goed geregeld.

Wir bekamen ein Zimmer genau neben dem Fahrstuhl und das mit einem 5 Monate alten Baby und dies hatten wir angegeben und die ganze Nacht durften wir hören wie der Fahrstuhl Hoch und runter fährt, was auch unserem Baby nicht gefallen hat und die Nacht war dementsprechend kurz, das Waschbecken im Bad war leider auch zu klein um sich damit richtig zu Waschen und um an die hinteren Betten zu kommen musste man sich quetschen aber der Rest des Hotels ist sehr zu empfehlen.

The hotel was conveniently located and with nice but expensive parking garage. In general the hotel is designed with a particular concept in mind. Self check took for us longer than usually in other hotels with reception staff. Bathroom and shower space is very, very small. So small that if you wash your face you ended up with whole floor wet. While bed is ok for two persons the room space is not. You really need to move inside the room “like an Egyptian”. I recommend this hotel for solo business travelers.
The hotel was conveniently located and with nice but expensive parking garage. In general the hotel is designed with a particular concept in mind. Self check took for us longer than usually in other hotels with reception staff. Bathroom and shower space is very, very small. So small that if you wash your face you ended up with whole floor wet. While bed is ok for two persons the room space is not. You really need to move inside the room “like an Egyptian”. I recommend this hotel for solo business travelers.

Although the hotel was a little far—just over 20 minutes by bus from the central station—it was close to a bus stop, and the room was compact, clean, and very functional. A fridge would have made it even better. The room temperature was comfortable and the dimmable lighting system was excellent, which helped me wind down nicely before bed. Nice Hotel. Quiet when above ground floor, nice corridors. Room was clean - but small. Disappointed that initially there was no table in the room, I had to commandeer one from the corridor. No fridge either, but staff were happy to store some items in their fridge for me. No desk so not possible to work in the room but plenty of working space in the reception area and also a reasonably priced coworking area. Fresh, very Nordic design. Check in, check out, ordering food in the restaurant, all automated. Maybe efficient but not personal at all. Breakfast buffé with all the basics but nothing special. They have a wellness area as well but did not see. All in all, a good Hotel of you have business in the area.

Het personeel in de eet ruimte en bij de receptie was erg vriendelijk. The only way to get connected to the front desk was my cellphone calling and it caused some inconvenience. For example, the wellness room was quite good; but I couldn’t find any information what should I or shouldn’t I bring into the wellness room on the webpage and the staff were not free when I made the call. When I arrived the wellness room found it was locked upon some irregularities, again I have to go back to my room and take my phone to call the front desk, and it wasn’t figured out at once. I suggest you to set a device in every room and the public space in order to contact the front desk or get further information on chatting.

Great stay, loved the hotel. The local tram was not working as construction work is happening but the local buses are constantly going past, so it was very easy to get into the city centre! Hotel was very clean and modern. Very nice area to sit and chill in the evenings by the reception. Not much choice for the breakfast but it was included so can’t complain! Our room was quite small so once we put our luggage and clothes etc, it was quite cramped. Small bathroom too but it worked for me and my girlfriend. Could link up our phones to the tv which was handy! When we first arrived at our hotel room, there was a hotel staff member and the person sleeping next door, already in our room…which was a bit odd but they said they were checking out our tv as next doors wasn’t working..didn’t really like this. Overall great stay, very happy.

Excellent breakfast! Cool facilities/buildings and nice decor. Close to bus stop. Not very walkable to eat, but easy to hop on bus going in a few different directions. Felt safe and was a good home base. Changing the thermostat did nothing and it was kind of hot a couple of nights. Room was small but everything was comfortable and the price was really fair. Overall would recommend.

The hotel is 20 min by bus from the city center, but well connected to the center and to the airport. The hotel is pretty new and in very good shape. The room was small but had a smart design and was very comfy and cozy. Ok+ breakfast buffet. I was a bit disappointed by the wellness area, which was the main reason I chose this hotel. The atmosphere was not very cozy, I went there in the evening and there were a lot of tipsy people drinking by the pool, and in general it didn’t give me a cozy and relaxing feeling.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Die City Anbindungen sind perfekt, die Lage des Hotels recht ruhig. Wer länger bleiben möchte, dem empfehlen ich unbedingt ein Deluxe Double Zimmer zu buchen, ist einfach sinnvoller. Der Wellnessbereich auf der Dachterrasse ist optisch ein Hingucker, dafür aber auch recht überlaufen! Die Bus- und Tram Anbindung in die City erfolgen im Minutentakt, Haltestellen befinden sich direkt vor dem Hotel. Perfekt und wir würden definitiv wieder kommen.

The hotel is different to other hotels with regards to its catering for large work conference type of meetings. This meant that the restaurants was full at both Lunch and dinner. They offered to allow me to eat food in the reception area....I tried to have room service, but there was a very high charge, with the food being very pricey already. Not many food options locally to the hotel, so I had to look further afield. I booked this hotel, over others in the area, due to the pool and spa area that looked very appealing. On check in i was told it was 25 Euros a day to use these areas though, very very disappointing. The gym was free, though, but its a very small area, with a handful of equipment that gets crowded very quickly. Next time I return, I will not look to stay here again.

The room was perfectly clean albeit a little cramped for two people. The staff was super helpful and nice. Loved the breakfast. I had a free breakfast benefit from Hotels.com and it was accepted after confirming with a staff member, so I was really happy about that.
