There was a spacious guest lounge where my child could play, and other guests were eating dinner together at a large table. There was also a guest laundry. It was easy walking distance from everything in town. I would absolutely stay again.

We have recently stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is lovely, easy to find ( could do with more signage to the car park as it’s out the back and we arrived after dark in the rain). The room we stayed in was clean and organised. Each evening we came back and had all fresh towels. The beds had electric blankets which was a plus! The room could do with a small bar fridge & kettle. While there is a communal kitchen, when having children this would be more accommodating. Access to a washing machine and dryer was great however a little pricey for a wash ($5 a load, $2 for the dryer). The staff were lovely. When we had dinner down stairs, it was the best meal we ever had. The staff were very welcoming, the meals came out rather quickly and they were overall friendly and polite. When leaving, we were greeted outside with a gentleman cleaning the smoking area as this is where we exit. He was an angry gentlemen as he cleaned and had a horrid mouth on him All because someone had put rubbish in the wheelie bin, he was yelling, swearing, banging things around. All the words you can imagine. Saying things such as whatever c*** put rubbish in this bin deserves a smack across the head. Then proceeded to speak this way to 2 others who were having a smoke, in the smoking area. It was lucky that we had actually dropped our children off the night before and they didn’t have to witness such horrific behaviour. Without this gentlemen, we had a beautiful stay and would recommend to others to stay here

Fantastic location, comfy bed, lovely modern bathroom with a fab shower, access to kitchen / common area, and best of all the rooftop beer garden where we watched the world go by. Great value for money, and a decent meal in the restaurant downstairs. No complaints here - we loved it!

Location was great, lovely big share kitchen, and restaurant on the premises was quite good. Unfortunately our room had a noisy aircon or fan outside the window which kept my friend awake. And one toilet in our floor was not working. Great value for the money but be prepared that you may need to take your cases up a couple of flights of stairs.

The exterior looks old as per the era, the rooms and facilities are of this era…. Perfect. We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at this establishment. What a little gem. Staff were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was a problem for them. Parking was off street in private parking area. Shared bathrooms were cleaned thoroughly daily. We would stay here again.

It was only a one-night stay and we love the location. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. The shared bathroom and toilet are also very clean. Friendly lady attended to our check-in/out. Nice common area to cook and have dinner. Next to a creek where we had a nice evening walk.

This was excellent value for money. Train and truck noise is an issue for rooms facing street. Not venues fault but be aware. The rear access driveway is gravel loose and problem for motorcycles as it's quite steep and curved sharply. I would stay here again. Staff were great. Place was clean meals were high quality and well priced. Service excellent and staff really helpful and cheerful.

Lovely cafe, clean room but the room could have had a table or chair to sit at and there was plenty of room for a fridge rather than share a fridge. Nowhere to hang your towel except over the shower screen but bathroom was new and tidy.

This property gets good reviews but beware. They hotel is clean but that is about the only good comment I can make. The rooms are up narrow stairs. Room was ok but no Airconditioning and 31 degrees that day. So hot had to try and sleep with the window open but with the fan on the room was so hot all night. Then the fan caused the blind to rattle all night. Trains passed by all night and honked their horns 3 or four times! There are other places that looked nice and in quieter parts of the town. Shop around the Deloriane hotel is very very average.

Staff were great. Room was very good. But the boss - the son of a man very much liked in the area and previous licensee has the hospitality skills of a warthog. Unless you’re a punter or a member of the footy club, you don’t exist.

I was in town for the Deloraine one act play festival. This hotel was a hop skipping a jump away from the theatre and super handy to everything. The historic building is in great condition and the staff were very helpful. Highly recommend.

They were very accomodating, we had a bit of noise coming from the generator and requested a room change and they did it immediately and all staff members were really nice and helpful. The place is close to all the places, so walking was fun. It’s a great hotel and I would surely stay there again … Thank you

Staff were good. Publican has the hospitality skills of a fence post. If you’re not a footy club member or a gambler, doesn’t want to know you. Such a pity after the example his father set.

Clean rooms and bathroom. Massive room which was great but the tiny double bed was a real let down and disappointing. Someone ( I’m assuming the cleaners) came to work at 0630 and were very noisy, I don’t think they realise how the noise travels in there so this made for a very early morning after not much sleep in in a very little bed. Dinner the night before was delicious with good service
