Would definitely stay here again! Love the free shuttle the hotel offers. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Private beach was a bonus & the pools were lots of fun!

The amenities are exactly what you would want. Beach access, chairs, towels, pools, and bar which has really good food.

Seemed under updating. Not all servicesavaiable such as rdining faciities. Poolwas heated but cool. Hot tub boarded off-not avaialable. Seemed to be updating. No menu as to available services/check-out times etc. Clean but for cobwebs in an upper recessd light. Given the time of year, beach hotel, and a very wonderful hotel staff, I feel it will beamazing!!

The Hotel was like a resort it had places to eat, 2outdoor and 1 indoor pools the description given by the hotel ia accurate it is also within walking distance to boardwalk.

Great access to the Ocean, room was veer comfortable. There was a decent Refrigerator, Microwave Coffee Maker in the Room. On site Bar was Great! Has 2 outdoor Pools & an Indoor Pool.

The mattresses were awful - old school prongs in your booty all night. The hot tub and sauna did not work. And the spa for massages does not exist. This was one of the main reasons I selected this facility for my family and me. Extremely disappointed. They also would not allow to upgrade rooms because I booked through Expedia regardless of not being concerned of cost.

We eenjoyed our stay very much nly downfall is the jets in the hot tub are broken. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Tradewinds restaurant was excellent, highly recommend.

The best thing about this property was the location. Staff was extremely rude, couldn’t be bothered. The room smelled musty and moldy. Carpet in the room was shredded, the mirror fell off the wall and nearly killed me, mattress was just ok, I’ve seen pancakes thicker than the pillows, I left with a souvenir that I didn’t want…a rash over 85% of my body for days. DONOT STAY HERE.

Family friendly property right on the beach and walking distance to the amusement park and aquarium as well as several eateries. The two on property restaurants were really good. The room was pretty small and humid, and our bathing suits didn't dry well, we had to hang them out on the patio. Also, we ran out of tissues on our second day and they were never refilled. Overall though it was a pleasant stay and we would stay here again coming to this area.

This my first time staying at the White Sands. Upon arrival the smell when you first walked into the lobby was very strong. It smelled musty and old. The furniture is a bit dated. The woman at the front desk was nice but seemed overwhelmed. She stated I had a fee for the hotel of $71.00 when it was stated in my Expedia that it was $50.00, in addition to a $100.00 fee they place on hold for incidentals. The was fine & expected that. We were given a room that was fine. Definitely not 5 stars. The shower/tub had some sort of stain from a mat of some sort. The room also had plastic chairs & tables which seemed odd considering it portrays a slightly more upscale appearance. In addition, I had to check my work email and I couldn’t access the internet at all even after being given the Wi-Fi password. Then the night before we checked out I I dropped an earring and had to move the nightstand only to discover black mold on the back of it. I did mention all of this to the woman at check out as that’s a health concern. Aside from the mold issue, I don’t know that I’d return.

Check in was half hour late, room was dingy with multiple bugs both dead and alive and the bathroom had dirty, used towels in it. Happy we only stayed a night. This place needs an upgrade, the air conditioner was noisy and ran all night. For the price very disappointed.

This is my second stay. Will also be staying again August. Enjoyed our stay one thing i might recommend that could be better would be the beach chairs. Also not sure of their housekeeping policy but we did r receive freah towels the bed was not made up

Upon check-in there was an unidentified brown liquid all over the carpets. It ruined our socks when we walked through it. After I cleaned it up it was identified to be coffee. My son sat in it, ruining his shorts. The indoor pool filter wasn’t running when we tried to go in, so the water was still and there were bandaids and hair floating on the surface. Our bathroom door hit the toilet when you tried to open it, and there was no where to hang wet towels- not a hook in sight. We checked out a night early because it was so gross. (Our reservation was only for two nights to begin with.) it’s a shame because it’s a nice area.

Dirty hotel room floors.

The location is convenient within walking distance of many attractions. For me the private beach entrance is priceless! Also the cleaning crew were very polite and did a great job cleaning my room everyday. The room could use a lamp, an outlet by the nightstand and better wifi (for those of us who still have to do some work while away).

This is definitely an older hotel. The check in was hard to find but the staff was pleasant. Our room had a terrible damp/moldy smell like a basement and the king size bed was to firm. The food was only tolerable but it was very expensive. The location to the beach and the boardwalk was perfect.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. This time I was I. The building with the indoor pool. This room was much cleaner, brighter and prettier. However the king size beds were very hard. To the point I needed to put a pillow under my back because it was hurting at times. Also the air conditioner if we left the room, and came back the heat would magically be turned on. How I’m not sure. Overall though I loved the room. The people who worked around the hotel with the exception of the women at the front desk. Some were okay and others were very unpleasant and had an attitude which was not a great experience for checking in. She seemed miserable and just negative. Not a great vibe to begin our vacation. Besides that the pools were heated and amazing. The small restaurant by the outdoor pools and sun deck were amazing. The staff in there went above and beyond to take care of their customers. Something the front desk of this hot could take some pointers from. Overall I’d stay there again though.

Our ocean view room was lovely, it was great having a sitting area with our choice of a room with a king bed in one room and a sofa bed in the other. Our only complaint is that the bed was hard and therefore uncomfortable.

Great location if you're looking to be close to the beach and boardwalk(walking distance and private access). The wifi was not good in our room (321) unfortunately (no biggie). The room was adequate, VERY firm beds. Watch the shower curtain rod, they're not permanently installed. Overall a nice place regardless of these little things.

Great location ! Easy to beach and pools. Nice that beach towels are included ! Staff is friendly ! Clean ! Could use a bit of upgrading as it is looking quite old otherwise no complaints. Would go back again for sure

Overall enjoyed my stay, it was clean and nice. My only two complaints are that the bed was very uncomfortable and the water in the shower was cold.

Overall hotel amenities were fine I e. 3 pools, on beach, access to a cafe. However King size mattress was very uncomfortable so we couldn't sleep well. If you moved the springs would pop up. Floors had sand or pebbles. The outdoor patio faced the parking lot.

Ac in the bedroom didn’t work the was no remote for the other tv. If you really want ocean view ask for building 500. Walls are super thin!! You can hear everything in all rooms around you!

I don’t trust the hotel after what they did to me! When I got home I saw a charge of 77.12$ taken off my CC that they ask for if something gets broken or theft, etc I asked why last night to Felene and she said to talk to Jaime today 9/5/25 , I called and asked her why is she doing this, you know I gave you the money in cash? I said it out loud! I have cash is that ok? She took the cash and here’s the proof! She gave me change! With coins! And if they were so sure I didn’t give them cash why didn’t they call me in while I was there? It’s because they know I live far away and probably wouldn’t do anything. I will next week, my husband is severely ill. I’m a good guest and person and didn’t deserve that kind of treatment for a pricey room that was very small. That’s not the point. I’m a good honest Christian woman and wouldn’t try to slight them. But they did to me. They said they looked at the cameras, I’m looking at the change she gave me now. The nice thing to do would have been to call me in, show me the film while was there or just admit a mistake was made by Jaime the girl who took the money. Instead Megan the mgr treated me like garbage & I will never step foot in that outdated pricey hotel again except with an officer next week. Please be careful

We ran out of shampoo at 10pm and the woman at the front desk hand delivered more to us from across the street. Great service

Beware of deceptive pricing--you end up being charged MORE than what Expedia quotes you! Some Pros and Cons of this property. Location - 5 Stars It is just a few minutes away from the boardwalk and it is beach front. Amenities - 4 Stars They have two outdoor pools and one indoor pool (located across the street). They also have a fire pit. They also had some sand toys, beach chairs and swimming tubes available. Service - 2 Stars Some staff members were quite rude and unwelcoming. Especially at check in and check out, just as many reviewers have mentioned, they have staff members with quite the attitude. Cleanliness - 1 Star We waited past check in time for our room to be ready. Once it was finally ready, we found a nice cheese puff by the bed on the floor and an empty Diet Pepsi bottle behind the nightstand. So clearly, they did not vacuum the room. You don't even want to see what appeared in the dark with the blue light. We weren't expecting much with the room, but they clearly do not care much about cleanliness. The room itself was plain and small. Two beds, one nightstand, one small table with two chairs. There was a tv, safe, microwave and a refrigerator in the room. There weren't enough outlets, however. Most of all, we were upset that they tacked on a random amount to the quote Expedia provided. We ended up paying MORE than what we agreed upon. When questioned, we got multiple explanations and they refused to give us a printed receipt.

We got in to town early. Was able to register at around noon. They have a 4 pm check in Guarantee. We came back at 4 pm and no room. Finally got our room at 440. I asked how the "guarantee " workes... Got a shrug. If you cant guarantee something, dont tell a guest that. So, then I hear them give a guest a discount because they had stayed a few nights and decided to stay again. So after I got my keys I brought up the other guests discount. In the end we did get the resort fee waived but if i woul not have said something we would not have. Ps. At check out I asked for a receipt for the credit and they couldn't provide that for me. They also charged my card for the resort fee. Asked for a manager but apparently there is none on sunday and monday.

The staff at the White Sands are amazing! One of my friends left her passport with $300 in our room. The front desk got in contact with me to say it was found and it was mailed to my friend's house. Now that's service!

The location is great. The internet in the room didn’t work. The main manager was didn’t return calls. She also was not accommodating.

White Sands is located on the beach with its own beach access. Located close to the boardwalk but far enough away to be quiet, going the week of Labor Day helped.

We loved that they have a private beach with easy access. The convenience of having a restaurant on the premises is also good. Love the short walk to Jenkinson's boardwalk too.

Great location - only a block from Jenkinsons boardwalk. 2 pools to choose from on the oceanside buildings. Easy beach access. Great cafe on oceanside property. Close to Arnold Ave - downtown Point Pleasant. Also near the inlet with great seafood restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

The Hot tub was not working and the staff told us that it was either working or being fixed which was not true. Bar tenders were great.

Check in with Simona at the desk was very quick and easy. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Sam was our waitress, she was perfect.

Best and only place to stay in Point Pleasant. Restaurant on property “Tradewinds”was such a pleasant dining experience!

We stay here multiple times every summer and this was the first time we had problems. The tv in our room did not work and neither did most of the outlets. We were awake half the night because the lightbulbs in the ceiling weren’t fitted correctly and rattled constantly. My other big issue was that the hotel bar and also the restaurant were not open, but the woman at the desk said they no longer operate it themselves. The pools, the location, and the staff are still wonderful as always. Just disappointed this time around.

Was disappointed when we arrived when one of the outside pools were closed. Also small restaurant on site had closed Labor Day weekend, this had not been the case in years past. Overall enjoyed our stay, staff very pleasant. Will be returning

The restaurant hours are very limited and offered no breakfast option other than getting in your car and driving to three blocks away. Also, we had prime rib ordered for room service for dinner and they served plastic utensils. Are you kidding me the place was lovely. The view was gorgeous and no real complaints but room service was really quite comical.

This hotel was convenient to the beach and boardwalk. There is a very good restaurant on the property that is also a good dining option after a day on the beach. It is clean and has an onsite indoor pool. However on the day that we had to check out, the alarms went off and everyone had to evacuate. We had to leave that day early so we couldn’t go back to our room to get our chargers and a couple of items left behind because we needed to leave by a certain time. We called the hotel to ask if they could ship what we left in the room. The hotel would not send the chargers back without us paying for a prepaid fedex label which cost $60. We decided that it wasn’t worth it but it put a damper on our stay considering the inconvenience of having to evacuate quickly from our room at 7am in the morning,

There was a lot of construction going in....which the bar was closed.....so that was disappointing .....great location...a little pricy.... but love it .....so we will be back
