The Residences at One Village Place by Hyatt Vacation Club

The staff was rude and the ski lockers were full. The location is great.

Very spacious 1500 sqft 2 bed 2 bath apartment on the top floor with a vaulted ceiling. North Star is super quiet in early June and there was barely anyone walking about. Many of the shops/restaurants are closed so the "vibe" is kind of dead. But to visit the lake and relax, this was a perfect time to visit. Only 1 elevator for the building would be frustrating in busy times. Parking lot beneath the building. Small gym hot tub on 2nd floor. Close to the ski lift. Nice deep bath tub in one bathroom. Wolf oven. Some wear/tear on things but still clean and functional!

Property is awesome, covered , heated parking with elevator to your rooms and own entrance to the ski gondola. Place is great!

We had a wonderful time. Being in a top floor, we had vaulted ceilings, spacious two bedroom and 2.5 bathrooms. A large fully equipped kitchen. W/D, fireplace, deep tubs…it was so nice. Our east side view also gave us the wonderful AM sunlight streaming thru our bedrooms in the morning. I would recommend doing spot cleaning for the couches and carpets. We also were almost back broken due to the stiff mattresses. Few issues that we made work: jacuzzi was out of order during the visit, fire pits were not functional during the visit, and since it was “spring cleaning” week, we found only 3-4 shops open. But-I would def stay here again, and bring 5 more friends with me.

Very nice. Spacious. Good staff. Good access to a pool, hit tub, gym, Billiard table..steam room and lockers. A very nice place and I highly recommend.

Excellent location, great leisure area with pool and jacuzzi. However, the air conditioning in the apartment was not working. They installed a portable AC that also did not work and it was a horrible night. There were 4 of us in an apartment in the middle of summer, showing 80 degrees inside the room. We tried everything to get the air conditioning to work and nothing. We called the concierge who said they would send someone who they also did not send. So in the end we turned on the fan and opened all the windows to try to sleep. I have stayed in other properties in this place that were excellent. But this one was bad. Unfortunately.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is very nice and accommodating. The only issues were the garage door was broken so it was a little inconvenient to drive around the property to use another garage entry. Also our room keys stopped working the day before check out. Had to call maintenance in the middle of the night to be let in to our room.

Now having been here twice, the One Village residences are incredible. The kitchen is fully equipped. The W/D is extra large and allowed us to wash a full load. The two bathrooms for a one bedroom make life soooo easy after a long day. The extra sofa bedSsss omg so nice. we got to try the pool. It’s located on the opposite side of the apartment we were in, but made for a nice walk to and from. It could have been cleaned more often-the bugs are out in force for May-June.

Nice clean property next to the gondola, but communication about this property was negligible. At check-in the primary focus was trying to sell customers on time-share. Was not made aware of amenities available to residences in the facility. The hot tub and the workout room was closed most of the time, and only upon leaving did we read somewhere that residences had access to facilities in the village. Very disappointing stay for an overpriced facility.

We’ve been staying at Northstar for years without issues and it is a beautiful resort but this particular visit the front desk was not the friendliest. Our room also needed updating. The deck was really dirty and dusty. The carpets were torn and stained in some areas and the garbage cabinet drawer was broken.

We spent two nights at One Village, and the location and property is beautiful. It is extremely difficult to check in, and we spent almost an hour trying to figure out where to even go. The parking garage is great, and upon walking in the room we were amazing by the great set up. There was a full kitchen, so with our kids we ended up getting groceries. When we returned, we discovered the freezer was broken and had a terrible gas smell. The next morning, we tried to use the toaster with waffles. The toaster caught fire, and there was smoke everywhere. We checked and didn't see anything stuck to the bottom or anything that had fallen to catch fire, but obviously didn't want to use it again. We would have called, but there is no reception for One Village and nobody around to tell. There was no housekeeping or anyone the entire weekend. We loved the layout of the rooms and loved the two bathrooms, and the location was top notch. You could walk out and have a bite to eat or play around at the candy store with the kids, but there were things in the room that just made it feel not awesome for such a price. The shampoo was broken off the wall. The shower head was dirty and hard to shower with (it was a waterfall one from the top)-just little things that added up to feeling like it was not well kept for the price. I tried to contact Hyatt, but they blew us off which felt even more gross for the price. Overall, this is just not something I would pay so much for again.

We came in early June so the ski lift and most shops were closed, but everything was still beautiful. We loved our three bedroom apartment and it was beautifully decorated and spacious. We really appreciated the furnished kitchen (don’t forget to your own oil!)

Great 2 bedroom with the den.Clean,spacious right next to Gondola so no wait in the am. to go skiing.We like to cook and we wish that there were some more cooking and serving dishes but we made it work.We also had some issues with the Wifi so couple of times a day we had to reset the router to get Wifi back but it was fine.Overall great place and wr would stay there again!!

We’ve stayed here before so maybe we had high expectations again. The elevator was broken the evening we checked in & going up 5 flights of stairs was a lot with a special needs kid. The manager, David was very kind though and it was fixed later on that night. Also, the hot tub was down - that is the main reason we stay there, the room condition is definitely worn. The primary shower just sprayed everywhere and only from the ceiling so kind of annoying if you don’t want to get hair wet. The pull out bed was so uncomfortable I opted for sleeping on the floor. Again, lovely hotel - but for the price we expect everything to be working. We had asked for a late check out (30min) & they called us after 20… they also had sent a text asking us to remove the sheets, empty the garbage, run the dishwasher and place all towels in the bathroom. Definitely an odd request since we are literally paying for housekeeping. Not sure we will stay here again because of lack of transparency and run down.

This one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed at. The decorating was just our style, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom perfect for our needs. If we'd stayed longer, we'd have definitely used the kitchen for a meal or two.

Great location right in the village. Large room with all amenities. Actually too big for just a couple. You feel like a timeshare owner here without all the commitments. Way better than a standard hotel room. We will be back.

Awful customer service,

1) From the get-go, communication between the property and us was awful. No confirmation emails were sent after having been promised, and upon arrival the front desk staff had didn't explain things very well. 2) Staff was self-focused instead of focused on guests. The maids routinely monopolized the one elevator in our building by holding the doors open on another floor, sounding an alarm throughout the building and totally preventing guests from being able to use the elevator. This happened both coming and going. Inexcusable behavior on their part, since guests are obviously trying to check in /out with lots of luggage. But since they did not even have a working-knowledge of English, it was pretty hard to resolve the issue with them. (3) The signage (or lack thereof) in /around the resort was awful. Some signs actually pointed in the wrong direction, were worded in confusing ways, or were simply absent. It was almost as if they were trying to make sure you could not figure out how to get where you wanted to go. (4) Hardly anything is open during the week in the summer. The only reason we chose this resort was because it was supposed to be a village with all types of shops and restaurants onsite. In reality, it was more like a ghost town. Restaurants & shops had abbreviated hours (e.g., the main coffee shop didn't open until 8:00 am! (5) Lastly, many things in the condo did not properly work (bathtub would not retain water, microwave hard to open, icemaker falling apart).

I got there late (1130pm)so I had to check in at the North Star desk the number provided is a Monday to Friday 9-5 type but once I figured it out the guy was very helpful getting me to where I needed to be

They roll out the red carpet and treat you like you’re the only person here. It’s refreshing to receive 5 star treatment and to feel valued as a guest on their beautiful property.

No wifi login info anywhere in unit altho information sheet stated it was posted. Front desk phone # on info sheet incorrect. Had to walk in the dark n far to reception building for info

It was great and considering it was off season and your staff was the best … one lady and she lived in Carson.. I can’t remember her name… but she was the best !!!

We experienced terrible customer service at the main guest check in. They gave us a room key for an occupied guest room which was very awkward when we entered the room and other guests were already there. This was on top of other poor customer service from front desk staff. We requested a call twice from the manager which never happened. The accommodation was beautiful just a shame it was let down by the front desk team.

Ms. Maria was so lovely.

Staff was friendly and the rooms are great, as is the village surrounding the hotel. I couldn't ask for a better hotel. Perfect winter getaway.

I love NorthStar and stay here every year. The property and accommodations are beautiful. Getting there late in the evening was a bit of a challenge to find my room, after wandering around lost at 11pm thankfully I tracked down security and he was super nice and showed me the way! With such a large resort anything not adjacent to the lodge really should have an escort especially at night! Off season (Sept) its really hard to find food & coffee early part of the week so plan to stop at the grocery at the bottom of the hill on your way up! I wish the room had more soft cozy blankets that you could use to enjoy the balcony, the sheets were very stiff and over starched. I would absolutely recommend this resort and will continue to return year over year (hope they take my comments into consideration to make guests feel safer at night and cozier in the room)

Beautiful and spacious property in an amazing location! We visited during a quiet time of year and were able to enjoy walking around the village and to dinner with friends. The location was conveniently located to where my son was playing baseball that weekend, at both North Tahoe Regional park and Incline Village.

The room was nice and perfect for a family of 4. Heads up there is not much to do since Northstar is closed for the season. A deli, coffeshop close early in the afternoon and only dinner option is pizza at rubicon. Everything else in the village is closed.

Very quiet. Bring your own food to cook

The property was beautiful. The rooms were big and gorgeous. The area was about 10 minutes to stores. We didnt like that there was nothing open in the village except a pizza joint that sold 37 buck large pizzas. That was ridiculous. Also, the instructions said check in at a different location but when we did they sent us back over to the hotel to check in. They had horrible instructions how to get to the check in desk because you park in a parking garage with several different hotels. We walked around not knowing how to get to the check in. Once i finally found out, i went back to the car only to see another couple not knowing where to go as well and i helped them.
