Motel le Sabre

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Motel Le Sabre, and it was exactly the kind of simple, refreshing experience we needed. This motel manages to blend classic charm with essential, high-quality features, making it a truly exceptional stop. ​Check-in was an absolute breeze—quick, friendly, and efficient. We were handed our keys and directions to our room in less than two minutes, which is exactly what you want after a long drive. ​The room itself was immaculately clean. Everything from the crisp bedding to the spotless bathroom made us feel completely comfortable and well cared for. It’s clear the staff takes immense pride in maintaining a pristine environment. ​A small detail that made a huge difference was the dedicated parking space right in front of our door. Having direct, easy access for unloading and packing up simplified our stay immensely. It’s a convenient feature that more places should adopt. ​Finally, the intentional absence of Wi-Fi was the biggest perk of all. It forced us to truly disconnect, enjoy the peace, and recharge without the constant pull of emails and social media. If you are looking for a genuine break from digital life, this motel is a fantastic choice. ​Highly recommended for anyone seeking a clean, easy, and refreshingly unplugged stay.

It’s a very clean and simple hotel, the room is pretty big with a kitchen, and comfortable for my family of four

The family size kitchenette room is spacious and inviting. We found the bed to be comfortable. Some furniture is quite outdated, but everything is functional and the room and kitchen utilities were spotless. If the electric baseboards are on for heat, expect tokking noise during the night and fridge is noisy.

Located near Deauville, it's a good place to put your head down for a few nights if visiting. It's 5-10 minutes outside Sherbrooke but easily accessible. The advertisement for the room mentioned a kitchenette but in reality it's an electric counter top burner that you store away. It was clean and quiet so we are happy

This was a clean, functional place to stay for five nights if you need a kitchen. Definitely outdated decor, but the beds were comfy and it was clean. They provide dishes & cutlery, one pot, one large wok, a flipper & serving spoon, bottle opener, dishtowel and cloth. It also has a kettle, microwave and toaster. It is just off a busy road, but the outer wall was solid concrete? so relatively quiet. The clean pool was a plus on a very hot week.

Small and unassuming but clean, dry and comfortable. Awesome price compared to chain hotels in the area.

If you like black mold in the shower and horrible wifi this is the place to stay

Semblait propre en surface mais il y avait de la moisissure dans la salle de bain et la machine à café était très sale.

Smelly room. Only one uncomfortable pillow. Air conditioning had to leave curtain open. Overall not a grat stay and certainly woul not recomend.

Motel très propre et simple. Parfait pour faire une étape. Le personnel est courtois et respectueux.

Very dated room with moldy smell when entered the room. The shower was disgusting and shower head was extremely loud when turned on. The water kept turning hotter without touching the tap. Be careful if children are in there as the tap has to be turned to colder as the water keeps continuously getting hotter

Points positifs : Agréablement surprise de la grandeur de la chambre, la propreté de la salle de bain et du lit confortable. Il n'y avait aucune mauvaise odeur, ce que j'ai bien apprécié. Merci pour les cafés du matin. Bien aimé y séjourner. Nous reviendrons. Points négatif : L'air climatisé était bruyant et il y avait un bruit constant dans les murs et on ne sait pas c'était quoi. Dans le bain, il devrait y avoir un tapis car c'était glissant. La porte de la salle de bain était coincée, donc c'était difficile à ouvrir et ça faisait beaucoup de bruit.

Motel correct, sans plus. Mauvaise insonorisation. Cuisinette très basic.

Toutes les commodités y sont mais c’est très vieux et l’air climatisé est dans une fenêtre donc très bruyant et nous avons dû l’éteindre. C’est correct pour un arrêt dodo sur la route

Déco retro figer dans le temps mais propre et bien entretenue, très bien pour le prix. Malheureusement pas de smart tv donc impossible de profiter de ses abonnements pendant le séjour juste avec son cell mais pour le reste c'est parfait.

Very small and uncomfortable double bed. Only one can sleep. Mattress is uncomfortable which is hurting back. Receptionist opens door after 2 bells though she is present there . She told me that why do u need more toilet paper when just half roll was there in bathroom.Her words were hurting and rude. Though we were charged extra for 4 People in a room of 4 people, all stuff was for 2 persons. We selected non smoking room but we had to come from balcony area of other rooms where guys were enjoying WEED which was not tolerable for us. In Short, this motel iis for truck drivers, not for family. There are better options available in this area at low rate.

Très bruyant pas très bien insonorisé!

Very basic accommodations. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Check in went smoothly. There were no table lamps in the room, which I found very disconcerting. He worked well in the room was quiet. Given the price, quite adequate for a one night stay.

I have stayed all over North America in hundreds of motels, hotels and resorts. This was the first time I have ever been asked for more money to check in an hour early as we were ahead of schedule and my wife needed to use the bathroom. Once inside the toilet didn’t work and instead of a real fix she just did a temporary fix making the toilet run for and hour in every fill because it needed a new flapper. I’ll never be back. The lady/owner is rude and curt. There are zero courtesy options here at this place and is a distance to anything, ps I didn’t pay for the early check in as I feel this is a scam. Junkie looking check in area that is always locked and have to wait for someone to answer the bell. Even in the middle of the day. This place gives motels a bad rap.

Bien que au Québec, l'accueil à la réception quoique courtois se fit uniquement en anglais... pas un seul mot en français.

Selected for an overnight stop because the property advertised as pet friendly. I messaged the property on booking to say I was travelling with two large dogs. Received the following reply saying dogs not accepted. But I can pay a $40 pet fee for large dogs. Rather than immediately cancel, I wrote to confirm. 1. I can bring my two dogs (labradors) 2. Total pet fee is 40 When I arrived they wanted to charge 80 (40x2). When I got in the room, there was a strong smell of old cigarettes and air freshener. Stay away

The woman at reception desk was very very nice. We got there about 10 minutes after check in time but she accommodated us after I had sent her an email the day before telling her we would be late. The room was just what we needed for a one night stay as we were heading for our final destination of Quebec. It could have worked well for a multiple night stay as well because it had a small kitchenette area with everything you need equipment-wise to make a meal. The area seemed fine and we didn’t feel unsafe. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was ok. The only “complaints” I have are 1. The reception area had a very VERY strong cat urine odor. Not sure if someone resides behind the desk, but it was pretty bad. 2. The room did not have shampoo/body wash/etc so if you are planning to stay here, make sure to bring your own. There was a bottle of hand soap in the shower area but I chose to not use that on my whole body. 3. Small coffee Keurig in the room with sugar packets and creamer packets in the fridge. All three of the creamer packets were curdled and spoiled. We went to ask for more and she stated she had already put some in the room. When we told her they were spoiled, she gave us more.

I stayed only one night and the motel met my expectations. At the time of booking this place, the booking site did not warn me that the reception closes at 9:30 pm. The owner/operator was kind enough to make arrangements to honour my booking although I arrived late by 45 minutes, at 10:15 pm. I sincere appreciate it. Thank you for your service!

Welcoming host, clean room, all good.

Small, unpretentious, clean, and comfortable, very easy on/off the highway, about 15 min from downtown Sherbrooke, with lots of dining and some shopping close by. My room was small but well-planned, with simple but well-chosen amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you're outdoors a bit, you may meet a friendly cat. The 5-star ratings don't lie: it's not the Ritz but it's excellent for what it is.

Nous avons trouvé ça propre, près de Magog, accessible pour nous qui allons au vieux clocher de Magog!

Très bel hôtel hyper propre bien entretenu. Le seul hic faire attention lors de votre réservation car il l’hôtel est situé à Rock Forest donc un peu loin du centre-ville de Sherbrooke.
