Quaint little Inn on Main St. Most shops and restaurants close early or last seating is 8:30pm. We made a reservation at the Inn and food was good,staff very nice and friendly. There are stairs to the rooms so call ahead if you need first floor. Happy hour on the Street and Inn was 3 to 5pm. Not much to do when we finished our dinner,went for a walk on Main St. and there was literally no one around. Went Oct11. Nice spot to relax. Parking is on street but we got a spot right in front of Inn…24/7 free parking! We had a king standard room on second floor. Basic but would have liked hangers to hang up clothes as there was no closet,no real space to put toiletries in bathroom so had to improvise. Glad we tried this Inn.

We had a very comfortable bed and lovely shower. We did not mind in the least but people should know that there are stairs up to the rooms. This is a beautiful spot.

Great experience all around. From check in by Sherry, our Carriage room and bathroom was spotless and modern. The bed was amazing. The room was quiet and welcoming. Onto drinks and dinner at the bar, again brilliant service by Sherry. Food was excellent. Met Jamie the owner who kindly set us up for after dinner drinks at the bar in the soon to open new lounge where we watched the World Series game on the big screen tv. Again very hospitable host, thank you Jamie! Breakfast the following morning in the restaurant was very good and Delilah took great care of us. All in all a great find and highly recommended!

I stayed in one of the original rooms with direct access to verandah. A very nice feature for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The Little Inn is a gem. Would highly recommend.

Overall, a really enjoyable experience. The hotel warns that the parking is street parking but we did not have any difficulty finding parking very close to the hotel as there is quite a lot of parking along Main St. Service in the restaurant and bar was friendly and very good. The only detractors from our stay were: 1. The plumbing is probably as old as the building. The shower would very suddenly turn quite cold, probably because someone somewhere else turned on hot water. 2. Our room was the last room in a hallway and there was no light in the hallway. I don't mean that there was no lightbulb; there was no light fixture at all. It wasn't so much of a problem with there not being enough light to see the lock and get into our room, but just detracted a bit from the experience of returning to the room.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay again. The Inn is quaint, the staff excellent and the location is in the centre of things in Bayfield. Our room was on the second floor, and the hike up the narrow stairs with our bags was challenging. Our room was neat, clean and quiet. We thought the availability of Netflix was great, but the buffering made it impossible to enjoy an evening movie.

The staff were great except house keeping. No extra toilet paper in the room. No face cloths no hot water after running for 20 minutes.No one to call after 6 pm on front desk.Sorry but will not be booking again at the little inn of Bayfield .

The property was lovely, oddly I stayed in the same room a year ago - and blinds broke, I found that odd that they were still broke - for cost, think those small details should be looked at. The front desk staff wonderful, restaurant for dinner was excellent, housekeeper was so helpful - overall, definitely would come back, think I'll switch up from room 7 :)

Its a beautiful inn, great breakfast. Room was lovely but the bathroom had a strong smell. Willing to put it down as an anomaly. The hotel was immaculate and well-maintained otherwise. The restaurant and other places were not open Mondays and Tuesdays.

The breakfast server would not seat us at the window, even though that space was not occupied, even after we left. She never once checked on us during the meal and I had to go in search of her for some jam. We had the misfortune of having a room almost above the live entertainment, and this boomed into our room for two hours. The television set did not work, even though a helpful young woman from the front desk tried to get it operational.

My wife and I were excited to visit Bayfield for our anniversary. We booked an expensive room at the Little Inn, expecting a pleasant stay. On a beautiful 28°C (82°F) day, we arrived to find our room freezing at 12°C (55°F). I adjusted the thermostat to 21°C (70°F) and we left, hoping the room would warm up. When we returned, the temperature had dropped to 10°C (50°F). The front desk informed us that the thermostat only controlled the gas fireplace, and that we should use it to warm the room, as the hotel had a single thermostat in the lobby. The manager was unavailable and never called back. The lobby was warm because the staff blocked the cooling vent. Other rooms were equally cold. We decided to leave, not wanting to ruin our anniversary further. The front desk promised a refund the next day. However, the manager later claimed they couldn’t process it because we paid via Expedia using PayPal. They then told Expedia they refused to refund us. Our anniversary was ruined by this poor experience and broken promises.

The room was nice. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was freshly renovated. The restaurant downstairs is to die for. The only drawback was that the Wifi was a little slow. The television featured Netflix but because the internet was too slow we never got it to work. Luckily we brought a laptop and got Netflix up on that instead.

Most of the staff (servers)were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Had to wait almost an hour to get into our room even though it was ready and it was after the check in time. They did apologize and offered us a free drink for our inconvenience. Breakfast omelet price was very misleading. It was advertised as a vegetable omelet with a list of ingredients. Price $20.00. The server asked me to pick 3 ingredients off the list that I wanted in my omelet, which I did. When the bill came, I was charged $3 for each ingredient, so $9.00 which brought the cost of the omelet to $29.00. Wow, $20.00 for 2 fried eggs plus another $9.00 for about 1/4 cup total of veggies,

The shutters in our room (#7) were broken and the fan in the bathroom only rivaled a jet engine. At breakfast we were seated 20 minutes before being offered tea/coffee. Breakfast, when we received it, was wonderful

Quaint little Inn on Main St. Most shops and restaurants close early or last seating is 8:30pm. We made a reservation at the Inn and food was good,staff very nice and friendly. There are stairs to the rooms so call ahead if you need first floor. Happy hour on the Street and Inn was 3 to 5pm. Not much to do when we finished our dinner,went for a walk on Main St. and there was literally no one around. Went Oct11. Nice spot to relax. Parking is on street but we got a spot right in front of Inn…24/7 free parking! We had a king standard room on second floor. Basic but would have liked hangers to hang up clothes as there was no closet,no real space to put toiletries in bathroom so had to improvise. Glad we tried this Inn.

Great experience all around. From check in by Sherry, our Carriage room and bathroom was spotless and modern. The bed was amazing. The room was quiet and welcoming. Onto drinks and dinner at the bar, again brilliant service by Sherry. Food was excellent. We liked the location and the staff. The housekeeping was excellent. We also liked the atmosphere of the inn and its historical significance. The property could use a few facilities that would improve guest comfort. These include a small table in each room, and either a mini-fridge in the room or a fridge in the hallway. The breakfast was poor - coffee not very good and the omelette very salty, and the dinner we ate there one day was mediocre.

Beautiful historic Inn. Staff are very nice. Area is amazing - easy walk to many shops, Lake Huron, park areas and restaurants. On site restaurant... this is our 4th visit. The quality of food has seriously declined. Prime rib was unedible - tough and grisley. Waitress did not ask how our meals were even after seeing we did not eat the meat. Breakfast was okay - bread was hard/ unedible. Not sure why this area has gone so bad, but otherwise, if you are are a heavy sleeper then the downstairs rooms are okay - as you hear EVERYTHING from the hallways and upstairs rooms. I suggest staying upstairs for a better sleep. I know, it's an old Inn.. but there is no soundproofing. Our group of 4 sat with the owner at the bar one evening and he did not greet us, ask how our stay was.. nothing. Disappointing. Not sure if we will return for a 5th visit, although we do love the village and convenience.

Our stay at The Little Inn was the perfect place to reconnect. Our rooms wonderful & the bed & bedding excited our expectations. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner & breakfast was also perfect. Staff very friendly. Only negative would be that when we checked in we were not told about the “happy hour”. We found this out from a retailer in town. We did have a glass of wine on patio but it was unfortunately after 5 so we did not get the deal. We would both recommend this place to relax & reconnect with friends. We plan on returning in April 2026

Our room was very comfortable especially the bed. However, considering there was no wardrobe, more hooks were needed to hang clothes as there was only three. We had breakfast twice, both times excellent. We had one evening meal which was very nice too. We found the staff excellent throughout our stay.
