Our last minute booking on a long weekend was a surprise. Most hotels in the area were booked solid. The hotel was decent enough for our one night stay. The washroom could use a little TLC but besides that it was a good stay. The manager was a good help when I couldn’t get the tv to work.

Good stay in Calabogie at the Motor Inn. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. The room was a good size and had some good basics for short or longer-term stay. Some of the finishings show their age but everything worked and the room was comfortable overall. The A/C worked well despite the very hot and humid weather. Quick walk to the lake and a couple of restaurants (check out Oh-El-La Café and On The Rocks!). Easy to find, easy to park. Would consider staying here again if I'm in the area.

Toilet and shower were heavily stained and not sure if sanitary. Bedding was worn and had some stains. One bath towel was thread bare. Mattress was comfortable. Room needs a deep clean, fresh bedding and towels to bring it up to a respectable level. A bit of a funky odor that needs to be rectified. Could easily be a good room with some care and a bit of money spent but will not get repeat customers or recommendations as is.

The room is carpeted and, you know, carpet floor and wood floor are very different.
