Stop 21 Motel

Outside of room, there is plenty of parking and inside room ok..but lot of house flies, spiders are too many...

No amenities, just an old worn down hotel.

The area in front of the motel is not impressive. But the motel itself was just what we wanted. A clean room with a clean bed and clean bathroom. That part was perfect.

Dusty, dirty floors, towels thread bare. Parking for back units is so hard to maneuver.

The bed was very comfortable . The motel is very old and has not been updated much , although the brightly painted walls were interesting . The plumbing needs to be upgraded as the sign said not even toilet paper was to be flushed !!! The only lighting in the bed area was a very bright ceiling fixture . Not very inviting to relax and read a book . The lighting also in the yard and the “Stop 21” sign is very dim - I drove right by on my return in the dark . The building out by the road is very dilapidated , with junk around the building that needs to be cleaned up . The big window in my unit was sealed shut with heavy plastic ( I presume to keep heat , and cold weather out ). Bathroom window appeared to be screwed shut . Both these things would be safety violations. I had a great sleep, did not use shower so cannot comment on that . This is a very old ( 8 units ) motel , and Robyn and Jay are obviously trying to improve the place , but it needs a lot more !!!!

Cheap chemical cleaning smell in a sealed room (with aircon on). The only way to get fresh air is to open the door but there are bugs and mosquitos. Everything looks cheap and basic.

Room was clean, beds are comfortable, staff is accommodating and helpful, shout out to Robin.

A place to sleep at a low price. Room was a bit small but clean. No breakfast but that was ok by us as Tim Hortons was right around the corner. Reception desk was friendly took care of us promptly. Room had free wifi, tv, small fridge.

I had a great stay here! Robin was fantastic - friendly and always willing to help me find places to eat or spots to do the activities I was interested in. The room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The shower also had a hand-held shower head and great water pressure. Thanks for a great stay and hope to see you again!

The main thing that bothered me was that they could not find the key to my room and gave me their own back up key. I felt worried that some random person (not related to the motel) could have the key and therefore could come in my room. I felt unsafe. Other things that made this a bad experience were: the bathroom smelled very bad., the floor was dirty and the motel was right next to a street so it was pretty loud.

Cozy rooms and extremely frieny staff

Very friendly staff. Room very basic but functional with small fridge, kettle and TV. Thin sheets and pillows but have control over heat/ cooling. Mattress extremely firm! Shower towels too small to wrap yourself in. Overall if mattresses in other rooms are less firm then I would stay again for a night or two but not longer.

The lock on the door did not work well. It needs to be changed. Nice layout. Liked the shower.

Suited my need. Staff was great.

Needs updating and repairs but the staff was extremely helpful and friendly
