El lugar es una antigua casona, las habitaciones son comodas y muy amplias. cuenta con refrigerador, agua en garrafon, cafetera y todo limpio. El estacionamiento esta a una cuadra y lo cierran a las 10pm, en una ocacion avice que llegaria de madrugada y al llegar al hotel fueron a abrirlo. Excelente la atencion del personal

The best location, walkable distance to everything you’d want, and in a very cool neighborhood. The pool is nice, everything is very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. 100-% recommend Hotel Luz! Mérida is such a beautiful town and the people are amazing. I traveled alone as a woman with my two kids and felt very safe.

It was nice. Great location-very close to the main plaza. We got the room that had three beds and a full kitchenette. It was called La Perla. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and the facilities are great. The included breakfast was exceptional, but it did take a long time. There was also secure parking, which was nice.

This was a wonderful experience. Beautiful pool area with plenty of space to relax, love the pool bar. Great owners on site, willing to help with your needs. Excellent breakfast included in the price. Great location! The perfect low rise, local owned & operated. You get the feel of real Mexico with excellent hospitality.

Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Morning coffee with non-dairy milk options was a great bonus first thing in the morning. Pool was clean and a great place to enjoy our welcome cocktail!! Would definetly recommend

We loved this hotel right in the heart of Merida! Walking distance to the cathedral and main square, tons of restaurants and things to do nearby. Yet surprisingly it was really quiet at night, we got zero street noise and slept amazingly well. Rooms were clean with basic amenities, staff was very friendly as well.

La humedad en las habitaciones y la presencia de hongos en las paredes es inaceptable. Muestra un descuido importante en el mantenimiento del hotel. Inexplicablemente en el patio había una rata muerta. Los propietarios amables y responsables pero la experiencia de una noche fue pésima, me tuve que cambiar de hotel pues no había solución posible inmediata

Loved the pool area with the bar for relaxing in the afternoon when it got too hot to do much else. The room was clean, with a more modern bathroom. Room had a big water jug to refill and drink from which was perfect for refilling water bottles. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We loved Merida and Luz en Yucantan hotel. Our party of four utilized three different rooms over four nights. The room La Puesta del Sol room was noisy at night due to music from the park a block away even on week nights. Both La Perla and La Sombra rooms faced the pool and were quiet at night. The former had a large patio in front with table and chairs. All beds were comfortable, showers had hot water and the breakfasts were delectable. We were served coffee, a small pastry, juice, a bowl of fruit or yogurt with granola, plus a main dish selection from a menu of about 10 choices. Felipe the bar tender made wonderful drinks. Chaya Maya restaurant was a favorite. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

We stayed in the Puesta del Sol room - fabulous!!! It has an outside covered kitchen, it's own private balcony, every detail has been thought of in the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Can't rave enough about this accommodation.

I stayed in the Tulipán (tulip) room for 4 nights, and had such a restful stay. The included breakfasts were so good, and plentiful! Really set me up for the day every day. The reception staff were beyond helpful, and helped book a tour to Uxmal which picked me up from the hotel - I was telling others on my tour how great my hotel was haha! The room came with an indoor hammock as well as an outdoor patio space. It is walking distance to so many good restaurants, and things to see. I'm going to be recommending La Luz to all of my friends and family!

I stayed in the Tulipán (tulip) room for 4 nights, and had such a restful stay. The included breakfasts were so good, and plentiful! Really set me up for the day every day. The reception staff were beyond helpful, and helped book a tour to Uxmal which picked me up from the hotel - I was telling others on my tour how great my hotel was haha! The room came with an indoor hammock as well as an outdoor patio space. It is walking distance to so many good restaurants, and things to see. I'm going to be recommending La Luz to all of my friends and family!

El personal es muy atento y amable. El ventilador de techo de nuestra habitación (Los gallitos) no tenía la potencia suficiente para refrescar el ambiente; nos facilitaron un ventilador portátil para compensar esta deficiencia. The manager was really helpful and very professional. The room was like a 1950's US motel. Totally down at heel with ancient fittings that wobbled when touched. We have traveled the world for fourty years, and would have been glad of a room like this in Thailand in the early nineties. This is a total no-no in the 21st century. Mexico thinks that it can charge international tourust rates for incredibly sub-standard accomodation.

Went to Merida for the first time and it was magical. The city itself has a lot to offer but honestly our stay at the hotel really made it for us. The entire staff including the owner made our stay so comfortable and fun. We stayed in the Tortuga room and it was super clean and comfortable. Had our own patio and hammock. The pool was a great place to hang and relax as well. If you need help with activities the staff wil help and their recommendations are good and fairly priced. The breakfast and coffee is also tasty. We’ll be back. Hasta Lu!

This is a wonderful little hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff as well as clean, comfortable accommodations. The owner/operator family clearly takes pride in the business as noted by the many little details. Loved our stay here. Easily the best place in our month-long trip in Mexico! We turned up having had all our cash/cards stolen on a long bus trip. Donard and staff were totally understanding, amazing hosts and lent us some cash whilst we got ourselves sorted. The hotel was gorgeous, stunning decor and artworks/textiles. Beautiful and comfortable bedroom two hammocks indoor and on the balcony. A fridge, air con AND drinking water! Delicious breakfast included, plentiful and lots of choice. Julisa, Eva and team are amazing - we particularly liked the homemade muffins, lovely touch! For the price point, you cannot beat Luz en Yucatan. Everything exceeded our expectations! Still dreaming of relaxing by the pool with a cracking Mezcalita! Will be the first stop on our next trip!

We loved this hotel right in the heart of Merida! Walking distance to the cathedral and main square, tons of restaurants and things to do nearby. Yet surprisingly it was really quiet at night, we got zero street noise and slept amazingly well. Rooms were clean with basic amenities, staff was very friendly as well.

The best location, walkable distance to everything you’d want, and in a very cool neighborhood. The pool is nice, everything is very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. 100-% recommend Hotel Luz! Mérida is such a beautiful town and the people are amazing. I traveled alone as a woman with my two kids and felt very safe.

Luz is a great place to stay. We returned after 10 years and what a great surprise to see some familiar faces and some great new ones as well. Many changes since our last stay and all beautiful and for the good. We had the complimentary breakfast and it was delicious. Would highly recommend staying at Luz. Great accommodations, owners, and staff provide fantastic value for the money.

Went to Merida for the first time and it was magical. The city itself has a lot to offer but honestly our stay at the hotel really made it for us. The entire staff including the owner made our stay so comfortable and fun. We stayed in the Tortuga room and it was super clean and comfortable. Had our own patio and hammock. The pool was a great place to hang and relax as well. If you need help with activities the staff wil help and their recommendations are good and fairly priced. The breakfast and coffee is also tasty. We’ll be back. Hasta Lu!

I really can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The room was quiet and comfortable. Centrally located, we could easily walk into the heart of the city. The restaurant on site gave us the best included hotel breakfast that we had in Mexico. The staff was very accommodating of all of our needs. The pool and garden area were well maintained. Very nice stay

It was nice. Great location-very close to the main plaza. We got the room that had three beds and a full kitchenette. It was called La Perla. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is nice and the facilities are great. The included breakfast was exceptional, but it did take a long time. There was also secure parking, which was nice.

Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Morning coffee with non-dairy milk options was a great bonus first thing in the morning. Pool was clean and a great place to enjoy our welcome cocktail!! Would definetly recommend

Let's start with the excellent breakfast. The best Huevos Rancheros I have had with the perfect crunch to the tortilla. The hotel is charming and comfortable. The rooms are basic but have everything needed including a Hammock. The owners and their team are attentive and helpful. They can assist with any planning you might need. The shower was strong and the in room bottled water supply plentiful along with a mini fridge. The location is very central. There are many restaurants in a 10 minute radius and many many shops. We stayed on the ground floor and had a small private sitting area near the pool. Very nice in the morning.

We had such a wonderful stay at Luz en Yucatán. The staff was amazing, the location was phenomenal, the breakfast was delicious every morning and the room was very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Merida. I highly recommend!
