I wasn’t able to stay at the property for personal reasons. I called directly to make the cancellation and the person who answered the phone at the hotel told me that it was up to Expedia to refund my payment (I had prepaid the full 3 nights) I called expedia.com and they tried contacting the hotel and explaining I wasn’t able to stay at the hotel and that I needed my refund at least for the following 2 nights (just keep one night’s deposit as penalty not the full 3 nights) it was impossible. The experience was TERRIBLE. Don’t reserve this hotel through Expedia.com. It was outrageous to charge for the whole stay when I was formally calling to cancel the reservation. I tried ‘managing’ my account through Expedia.com and the page kept being redirected to nowhere! This is a TERRIBLE way to make your reservations if you have any issues with your stay, or even worse, if you have to cancel like I did. They keep all your money even if you call and explain ahead of time that you won’t be able to stay at the hotel. Truly terrible and unprofessional both at The Red Roof Inn Lafayette Indiana and at Expedia.com. Lastly, this property is the worse option in the whole area. It’s depressing and dirty. Shows no maintenance whatsoever.

I booked for three nights, but I need to shorten to one night. I sent the request before I checked in and is willing to pay one night's penalty due to late modification. The staff instructed me to check in first and he will call manager to refund me at the time of checkout. He sounded that the refund can be done easily. However when I checked out the hotel and asked for refund, he made a quick call to manange(I even suspect he pretended to call the manager) and simply said refund was not pissible. This time he had a cold face. I was really disappointed by this experience. Simply told me no refund at the first place. Why telling customer one thing to get them checking in then denying the request. Be honest is all I am asking.

Our stay was very pleasant. The Owner and Staff were very friendly and offered the greatest hospitality we have received anywhere so far. They went above and beyond to help us out. The rooms were convenient and the place has a lot of restaurants around that are walkable.
