BEST WESTERN PLUS Poconos

Only complaints were ice machine by our room was broken had to go downstairs to get ice. And snack machine wasn’t working either. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Staff very friendly. Did not get to go outside as weather was not agreeable.

The convenience of getting to Camelback and Great wolf lodge were the only positives. The rooms are clean but dated and worn out. Housekeeping services limited and had to request to get room serviced. The pool was out of service during our stay and no one fixed it. Breakfast was average and limited stock of hot and cold items.

Near shopping outlet and activities. Heated pool was freezing. No elevator to 3rd floor fire place rooms so you have to walk up the stairs with your luggage. We did not receive our logs for the fire place when checking in. We asked for help with the fire place on our first night and was told by lady at front desk someone would come to help and no one arrived.

The elevator was out for the 3rd floor, and the room key didnt work for 3 people in a row. and a poop stained towel in the bathroom.

I Spent a night here. I liked it was close to Poconos area and the outlets. Breakfast was good. I used the pool and I also used their fitness facility. My only complaint was that there was a big window in the fitness room and it could get very hot with the sun. It was uncomfortable to workout. Other than that it was a good experience

I loved that you had the pool water was cool and the pool house heated.

Staff was kind at check in. Room was very clean. Hallways were very clean! Hot tub was being redone. Breakfast buffet was very good. Would def stay here again. Would recommend if your in the Tannersville area

Everything was good, but the pool is not heated and the pool room is super muggy and hot. Was not ventilated enough. Breakfast was okay not the best but cleanness was amazing.

Fire place was very great and hotel room was great. Breakfast was also good and enjoyed the 3 day stay. Thank you for a comfortable feeling room

Went for our free breakfast and a cockroach walked along the counter. Never ate was very disgusted. None of the outlets in our room worked there were no usb ports to charge my phone. Very outdated for the cost.

The room could have been more cleaner. There was baby roach in the bathroom and in the cups they provide in the room. The carpet in the hallway could have been vacuumed.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Over all the hotel was not very clean, needs some improvements and better staff.

Bathroom smelled of mildew (probably due to the fact the bathtub/shower didn’t have a curtain) our smoke detector kept beeping like the battery was dead starting on the first night. Was not fixed and the smoke detector should have been hardwired since it’s in a hotel. Staff was friendly however did not answer to phone when you called the desk.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was in need of some serious care. The room was stuffy and unable to be ventilated pepper so smelled and felt like it was drying from a flood. Poor lighting likely to hide the stains in the carpet and furniture. Finally the bathroom fan was hanging from the ceiling upon arrival and was very loud for being so very ineffective.

This was one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Our first room smelled like an entire pack of cigarettes. They switched us to another that had no working tv remotes and, a bathroom so small you couldn’t close the door if sitting on the toilet and no towel bars at all. The room also had a broken shower and they switched our room again. The final room had a slow drain in the sink AND in the tub. The TV was dark and did not work properly. Aside from all that the hotel was not well kept. It smelled moldy in places and looked old in others. The free breakfast was not good at all. We will never stay at a Best Western again.

Like i said everything is very old. I slept in a king size bed. It was wore out and sank in the middle.My back hurt.

the actual check in took forever even though i did not wait to be attended to. the hotel was set up so weird we couldn't find our room because it wasn't just right on the 3rd floor. we had to go up to the second floor then go around this out of the way hall way then up the stairs. all while lugging luggage and a small child. none of the directions to get there was explained when we checked in so we spent a few times going up and down halls and stairs to find it. only being able to find it when a staff member took us there. then the key wasn't activated to get in to the room so someone had to bring another. i checked in with the attendant at 8:40 and didn't get into the room until 9:10 because of all the issues with their room assignment and the awful layout. the room itself seemed fine. it looked cleaned. water pressure on shower was not great. the room smelled so bad like chemically or smokey? i'm not sure but my guess it was from the fireplace in the room? no fire was set while we were there so i'm not sure. but it made the stay a little uncomfortable.

The staff was very friendly! The room was very nice and clean! Though the beds were on the smaller size, they were very comfortable. It was very confusing to find at first to find the location of my room. Once the young lady explained where to go, it became easier to find my room. I wish the fireplace worked, because it was still a bit chilly though it was May. I liked that we had a variety of foods to choose from for breakfast. However, it was very tight when there were many people trying to make waffles and retrieve items needed. I did not like that it was a coffee machine provided for the coffee. I prefer freshly made coffee. In all, I enjoyed my stay and would come back if I am in the area.

The room was clean but could use some updating. The jacuzzi controls are not in reach of the jacuzzi. Bathroom was very small and didn’t have any towel racks except 2 hooks behind the door. The Shower had great pressure which is a big plus. Breakfast was just ok.

Room was clean and updated. Great location and views of the mountains. Only feedback is that Bathroom fixtures needed a little maintenance. Free breakfast was a hot one and really good and staff was really helpful and friendly!!! Definitely will book again!

The only thing I didn't like is that the beds are small, it says they are full size but they look smaller.

It was clean, spacious & staff was friendly! I was pleasantly surprised!

I worked with Expedia and Best Western Plus to update my reservation to check-in from Friday, 9/27 to Saturday, 9/28, to which I received an updated itinerary before my stay. Upon arrival, they let me know that I was effectively charged with a 'no-show' fee despite showing them my updated my itinerary, as if it was my issue that their system didn't reflect the updated check-in date (from Friday, 9/27). It was ultimately fixed, but this was a frustrating experience. My stay otherwise was fine, but I'll sooner find another place to stay next time I'm in the Poconos.

We had a great night traveling for a wedding. The manager made sure our room was ready for us for a earlier than normal check in. Really pleasant, clean room,

Staff was rude, Front desk employee was not cooperative to reserve or book for extended stay. Not happy with overall services.

We have stayed at this property before and never had a problem which is why we are repeat guests. However, this time was different. The property needs some upgrades. There were some holes in the walls in the hallway. There was a maintenance issue and safety issues. Our bathtub was stopped up with water. Maintenance was gone. The front desk agent suggested he will send us drain-o for us to pour into the bathtub! Not only was it filled with water therefore drain-o wouldn’t work we had small children with us which is clearly a safety issue. We were not initially offered a different room nor a discount for the inconvenience of a basic amenity. My wife had to make a trip to the front desk to explain how this “solution” was unacceptable. The front desk agent then offered a new room afterwards. In the evening we were coming back from dinner and our key didn’t work. My wife got new keys made without any verification of identity for the room. He didn’t ask for ID or the name on the reservation! We could have been anyone! There is a sign in the bathroom that says, “ if you forgot something just call the front desk and we have complimentary items. The following morning my wife goes to the front desk to ask for a plastic laundry bag. The front desk agent tells her they don’t have such bags and gives her a garbage bag. She then asks for the location of the ice machine and the gentleman lets her know it’s broken and so there’s no ice available. This stay was quite a disappointment.

Our stay has been great and Steve who checked us in at the front was super helpful and nice. We will definitely be back.

Staff was outstanding and friendly!

I wish I could’ve given this property a higher rating but the manager Sanjiv was so unprofessional, rude and impatient. We tried to change the dates of our trip due to a family emergency instead of him being understand or helpful, he yelled in the phone because I was “taking to long to find an email” that he sent me via Expedia! His attitude is so vile and I don’t understand how he still has a job! We ended up staying at the hotel and each day I looked for him so he could apologize to me in person but I only saw Mr. Ronald(who is amazing) and deandra who was somewhat helpful. I won’t ever be staying here again! The shower drain barely worked, the shower curtain smelt sour and the bed sheets had so many stains on them.

It was very comfortable easy access to everything last night. They were children running up and down a hole. I did call the front desk and no one answer. Someone needs to be at the front and answer the phone and when I checked out, there was no one at the counter they need to have someone always at that counter at all the time everything else was excellent.

Gentleman at the front desk was great.

People were nice to deal with. I mistakenly made my reservation for two nights when I meant for three. They were very accommodating in adding the other night.

Easy to get to and good location for Camelback. Clean, contemporary decor. Decent breakfast. Nice heated pool.

The room and hotel areas were clean and the bed was comfy. The staff were really kind and we enjoyed the breakfast, everything was tasty. Location has easy access to the highway without being noisy.

Is a very nice property. Very close to Camelback outdoor park. Definitely worth the stay.

Helpful staff.Lovey surroundings. Would recommend for short stays if you do not have transportation and longer stays if you have transportation. It’s in walking distance to the Outlet malls so that’s a plus.

There was nothing for breakfast when I arrived it was 8 o'clock the area the people were crowded very small and the breakfast had not finished at all because they offer very bad service in that regard

I stayed for 3:days to play golf so I did not spend much time in the hotel. My room was neat and clean. My interactions with the staff, primarily with Ms. Diana was ok. She always looked as though she was in between issues. She should smile more especially when she is interacting with customers. She was efficient.Tje bathroom was very small. Having coffee and tea available 24 hours was great. The breakfast was good. Rarely are eggs prepared at a hotel and they are not dry and clumpy. The eggs were tasty and not overcooked. I was looking for cheese to put on my eggs, but none was available. Shredded cheese should be available All in All, I would stay at the Best Western Plus Poconos hotel in the future.

Breakfast doesnt begin as early as other hotels and during booking online, the hours state it begins at 6 but on site, a paper on the door states it starts at 7. Check in was also the same. Online says 3pm but then a confirmation email after the fact states 4pm. So accomodations for business stays for this hotel will not work for me going forward and i will share online for others going to same company to be aware and avoid.

Room was comfortable. Bathroom was small. Place is a bit dated, but served the purpose for a stop over. Pool look nice. Breakfast space was.... confusing - poor layout and limited seating. Coffee was awful!
