Great hotel, people are amazing so friendly, smiley & welcoming. Great breakfast, spotlessly clean everywhere, comfortable & spacious room. Roof terrace view is beautiful & a great place to relax. Perfectly located hotel out of the area known as hotel hill which is soulless compared to this location right next to the beautiful central municipal park.

Great location, really friendly and helpful staff. The rooftop was a lovely addition for a relax after a busy day. Only thing missing was an iron which they don’t provide so we had to go out and buy a steamer.

Great location, and services and pool area were wonderful. My only complaint is there was a horrible continuous noise above us from the pool deck area that made it impossible to sleep. We were on the fourth floor. But Madeira stole our hearts.

Fabulous service from Luis on reception. Breakfast adequate room comfortable although smokers in the room below and when they smoked the smoke came into our room! Disappointing that the safe isn’t included in the room. Excellent transfer service to and from the airport. Great location. Pool are clean and nice terrace bar.

La localisation de cet hôtel est son grand atout, très proche de tout, au centre ville. Les chambres sont ok mais vieillissantes, le tout est propre. Un grand bon point pour le petit-déjeuner. Par contre ne pas y aller pour la piscine qui est très petite et les places autour sont peu nombreuses par rapport au nombre de clients.

Excellent location right in the centre of Funchal with a taxi rank virtually across the road. Comfortable room with extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard. Nice toiletries in the bathroom with both shower gel and shampoo. Good hairdryer. Lovely pool on the top of the building with a bar and a great view of the city. Very good breakfast, the only thing that could be improved (and I’m being picky here!) is the jam, as it’s not really jam, more like a dessert topping. Everyone was super nice and friendly and, above all, everywhere was extremely clean! Decoration is modern, light and bright and there’s dozens of English books to choose from in the lounge! I would 100% recommend and stay again!

Elevators were always down. Had a cold shower first morning in the hotel no hot water. Reported that the refrigerator in the room was not working and nothing was done about it. Otherwise, it was good.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I slept great. The location was perfect for walkability to all the tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was very good - nice selections of different food. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again.

Un peu déçue a l’arrivée dans la chambre , beaucoup plus petite qu’il ne paraissait sur les photos. La douche s’écoulait mal et des taches de moisissures étaient visibles, bof pour un 3 étoiles. L’ensemble du personnel était à l’écoute de nos besoins .

Lits confortables, nous avons adoré le bar et la piscine au dernier étage. Le déjeuner est excellent et varié. Le personnel nous a recommandé un parking très abordable (4,50 euros la journée). Par contre, la porte menant sur le balcon de la chambre ne se ferme pas. On entend donc les bruits extérieurs.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. Very close to everything so we could walk to it all and explore. It is a very quirky hotel as there are a lot of odd stairs here and there, our room involved 2 sets of 3 steps, up and down and around the hall. There is a very small courtyard in the middle of the hotel and unfortunately our room faced the courtyard so we had no view and opening the window was pointless. The room itself was very small with 2 twin beds and a couch. The bathroom was even smaller. The a/c was not very powerful so the room did get warm and humid. Also, for whatever reason, our room was the only one that had a step up at the door. My husband and I kept forgetting about it (as we've never seen that before) so we would face plant the first few times we left the room as we forgot about the step. :) The staff at the front desk was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast wasn't too bad, again, I never complain about 'free' food as it is always welcome.

Great location, and services and pool area were wonderful. My only complaint is there was a horrible continuous noise above us from the pool deck area that made it impossible to sleep. We were on the fourth floor. But Madeira stole our hearts.

The breakfast area is quite small, so at busy times, your party may need to wait or split up to sit, and queuing to serve yourself can occur. There isn't much in terms of soundproofing in the rooms, which meant it was quite noisy, with shouts and screams being heard from neighboring rooms, neighbouring bathroom sounds and the noise of upstairs moving items around.

Fantastic hotel, clean and tidy, excellent location. One of the receptionists was fantastic (didn't get his name), very cheerful and friendly. Miguel in the bar on the roof is also an absolute credit to the hotel, nothing too much trouble and works so hard. The rooms are relatively small but clean and well appointed with a good shower. Wifi excellent throughout. Breakfast is fresh and kept topped up with a reasonable selection although generally the same most days.

Der var sure medarbejdere og der var glade. Jeg måtte skifte værelse 2 gange på en nat, da der var bedbugs. Receptionisten var irriteret og vidste ikke hvad bedbugs var. Da jeg viste billeder skete der modvilligt noget. Jeg blev spist af med en flaske et eller andet og en ost. Værelset til at starte med var ualmindelig koldt. Der var stillet en lille radiator som ikke kunne opvarme rummet. Ud over det slukkede den når nøglekortet blev taget ud. Jeg mener de 2 overnatninger i et koldt og uopvarmet rum burde refunderes med det der svarer til 2 overnatninger. Det må være ret og rimligt. Morgenmaden var elendig.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to Calheta. We really enjoyed the views from the rooftop pool deck. We found it was in a great location, very easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. I would suggest to lock your doors while in your room as we did have a housekeeper walk into our room without knocking while we were lying down for a nap, it wasn’t a big deal and we found it quite funny but might have been different if we were changing. We didn’t find the staff extremely friendly, however, they could just have been having a bad day! Overall our stay here for the 1 night was good!

O quarto era confortável , espaçoso , cama boa e banheiro novo e espaçoso . O café da manhã , pouco variado e não gostei da hora de funcionamento, prejudica quem vai fazer passeios. O roof top não era bom, atendimento péssimo e a comida foi o pior prego no pão de caco que comi. Outra coisa que me desgostou. Convencem você a solicitar transfer pro aeroporto. E na hora que o transfer falha , você tenta fale com o hotel e só tem gente disponível após às 7:00h., ou seja paguei e não tive o serviço e tive que chamar outro táxi. Também me ofereceram um lanche porque deixaria o hotel às 6:00h e não me entregaram o lanche .

I booked this hotel for the location which was perfect as we didn’t want to walk too far and the hotel is in central Funchal. Lovely friendly staff, good breakfasts and we had a swim on the rooftop pool most days. Just the job!

We had a great experience here. The staff at the front desk and so friendly and hospitable. They even offers to pre-prepare a breakfast box for us since we had an early check out and would miss the continental breakfast time. Glad we stayed here! Very good price for what you get.

Great hotel. We were coming from America and really did not know anything about Madeira. We soon found out this hotel is in the most ideal location. In the heart of Funchal, 2 min walk to almost everything. Staff was very accommodating and the included breakfast was great. No ironing board in room so bring your own or steamer. Parking garage for rented car was across the street. Check in and out was a breeze.

We have used this hotel 4 times now and again this year didn't disappoint. the staff were great as always and helpful with any inquires you had. the food was amazing as usual with loads of options for breakfast and lunch and it's nice that they have included a barbeque option for nighttime (fish Wednesday and Saturday and meat Tuesday and Friday) along with entertainment which was a nice added bonus. You don't have to walk far to get a bus which is nice and convenient and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby. If I had to be really picky was our shower wasn't very powerful meaning there wasn't a lot of water coming out of the shower. but apart from that a fabulous hotel to stay in and I highly recommend it.

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - genau so wie man es sich wünscht! :-) Die Zimmer sind sauber, die Dachterasse bietet eine schönen Ausblick. Das Frühstücksbuffet war ok. Das Organgensaft war sehr gut, den Cafe kann ich aber nicht empfehlen.
