Hotel with decent location and a very authentically Japanese onsen experience. Clean semi ryokan experience. The hotel price also includes onsen and some free snacks thereafter. Breakfast is decent with lots of varieties. However there are some restrictions the hotel enforces: e.g. shoes must be off when you enter the hotel to avoid stepping on the tatami mats. The car park is an automated car vending machine so you have to wait for your car to be delivered every time you need to use it. All in all, a good experience if you’re looking for aJapanese onsen experience.

The hotel has so many amenities that were such a delight! The onsen, massage chairs, free snacks. The free noodles after 9:30pm were surprisingly very good and their matcha tea from the machines were so good! Loved how they provided robes for you to walk around the hotel and go to the onsen. The onsen was such a great experience too!

Had a good stay. 2 stars though as it is 2025 and this Ryokan does not allow tattoos. So I did not get a chance to partake in that aspect. In their defense I should have read the whole description on Expedia as it was the very last sentence in a very long description.

奈良駅1分の好立地で、お部屋は清潔で天然温泉あり。無料のアイスバーや乳酸菌飲料もあり、朝食は沢山選べる小鉢や奈良名物の茶粥や柿の葉寿司、海鮮丼、季節の苺など全て美味しかったです。ホテル駐車場は1500円。二軒隣りの民間パーキングが24時間770円だったのでそちらを利用しました。

お盆の繁忙期であることを考慮しても、インバウンドの受け入れすぎで、入浴はできませんでした。温泉が売りで、部屋のシャワーブースはとても狭いのに、家族全員そこで済ませました。インバウンドの割合を抑える等しないと日本の方は来なくなると思います。温泉の利用マナーもできているのか不安です。楽しみにしていたのにとても残念です。

The hotel is conveniently located right across the Nara station which makes it super easy after a long day of travel. The hot spring and amenities are excellent. It’s so relaxing, they even have a massage chair, free ramen, unlimited ice cream and yakult. Travelling in Japan can be pretty tiring but I felt very relaxed after long travel days at this hotel.

The staff is extremely kind and helpful! The hotel is beautiful and super clean. We really enjoyed the spa and all the amenities the hotel offers. We wish we would’ve booked another couple nights since it was so relaxing and peaceful at the end of our trip!

たまたま部屋の隅の隙間にアームカバーを落として拾い上げたら、埃だらけになっていて、掃除が行き届いていないのを感じてしまった。お風呂が思いの外狭くてびっくりした。部屋に入った時に、どう表現していいかわからないけど、なんか臭いがあって、ん？と思った。エアコンの中が汚れてるなぁと思った。スタッフの方はみなさん感じよかったと思います。

大浴場、その他に入浴のルールが外国語でも貼られていますが、これをきちんと見て入っていない方が散見されました。身体を事前に洗う、バスタオルを持ち込まない、などの外国人が多く、この浴場は清潔なんだろうかと疑問を持ちました。貼ってあるポスターをきちんと読み、守って行動することは日本の常識かもしれませんが、外国人にはそうではありません。必要に応じてチェックイン時の口頭での説明等、対応が必要と思いました。

The room was about 15m from the rail line, which is also right where the trains noisily change tracks. I would never have booked this room. The line for the ramen in the evening was also unacceptable, with only one or two staff serving. A number of customers took multiple bowls for themselves and grabbed handfuls of ice cream pops. I’ve stayed at several other hotels of this brand, all of which were cleaner, quieter and better run. I don’t understand the value of my Expedia Platinum status when I’m given one of the worst rooms in the place.

Onsen was great, very family friendly. Nice extra treats are given after exiting the onsen, and other bonuses like evening noodles felt nice and premium. Only downside was that no children still in nappies/diapers were allowed in the onsen, and the room didn’t have a bath, so it was hard to bathe our 1 year old.

Overall great location for Nara. Only reason we don’t like is slow checkin. 10 staff 4 windows open, but I don’t understand why it takes so long. And there is no way for guests to sit and wait in line

I felt the staff really didn't want me there as a non Japanese person. Was met with cold stares when I politely asked questions, even when providing the translations, and was told to quiet down when talking in normal tones in the dining area. And as a single lady was given the worst room in a half empty hotel ( 2nd floor over the garbage bins which were collected at 5am every morning). Plus, The beds were hard, the pillows harder. All the other hotels in Japan I stayed at bent over backwards making me feel welcome. Will not return to this one.

Nice hotel and Onsen was great, however I reserved the room on Expedia and when I checked in the rate was much higher than the rate listed. I even showed them the price on the Expedia website. They already had my CC number and smugly told me I could not cancel as it was “non refundable”. I was also placed in a small room, when I had reserved, and paid for the larger option. Felt cheated. Of course there is nobody at Expedia to resolve any issues of this kind in real time. Likely won’t use again.

お世話になりましてありがとうございました。こちらへは2回伺っていますが、共にチェックインよりも早く伺い、荷物を預けようとお願いをしたところ、お部屋の掃除が出来ているからと早めにチェックインをさせて頂け、どんなに助かったことか！また、1回目は一人で、2回目は友人と2人で宿泊しましたが、スタッフの方の接客、お部屋、温泉、朝食等々、いずれも素晴らしく大感激してくれました！特に奈良の他のホテルに宿泊したことのある友人は、ここが一番！と他の人にも勧めてくれたようです。誘った私も本当に嬉しく思いました。また、ぜひお伺いしたいです。ありがとうございました。

The property is great but unfortunately I didn’t get to partipate in the onsen because I got soo sick. However the hotel was phenomenal and provided me a translator to visit a clinic to get antibiotics! I’ll never forget this experience. Thank you.

The staff was very welcoming, and the property was clean. The amenities are great - drinks in the lobby, popsicles and yogurt drinks at the onsen, ramen noodles and toiletries as needed. We found the onsen to nice but very busy at times, so we tried to go when we thought less people would be there. Breakfast was wonderful! Location was convenient for travel to the train station, shopping and the sights. Our daughter’s loved the matcha and hot chocolate. Upon arrival we had some issues with our booking, and the manager Takashi Mogi took great care of us as did Expedia. In Japan you most likely need to book kids over the age of 13 as an adult. Double check with the property details on this.

Onyado always has great standards, confortable and clean with large onsen bath including outside area. Nara location cannot be beat for convenience of travel as the central bus station and the train station is less than two mins walk away. Breakfast at this hotel chain is excellent and should definately be part of your trip at least once. Free ramen nightly. Depending on whos staying *stares at large loud and ill mannered tour group from nearby asian country* , things can get loud and hectic, but thats not really at the fault of the hotel or staff

A very wonderful hotel with a great Onsen experience. The breakfast is something very special. Great location right next to Nara JR station. Only one small issue is the train noise 24/7 but not so bad as to disrupt your sleep.

The hotel is right next to Nara station with 3 minutes walk. Lots of dining options close by. The room is a bit smaller but really enjoyed the Onsen and the free drinks. I will definitely go back!

This hotel is right by Nara station, and about a 20 minute walk up to Todai-ji and Nara park. Because it's by the station, we did get the noise of trains during the night. Nevertheless, the hotel was comfortable and clean, and our room had what we needed. This hotel offers pajamas instead of a yukata, which were far too small for us two Western ladies. The breakfast buffet was great, with plenty of choices. We didn't use the public onsen, but it's great that you can check how busy it is via the TV in your room. We tried to use the coupons for dinner, but the restaurant didn't have any availability without a reservation.

Great location just opposite Nara station. Near plenty of food options. Rooms were comfortable and quite spacious for japan standards. Very thoughtful amenities with a basket of stuff for going onsen, massage chair and ice cream after onsen. Hotel in general looks quite new!

Right across the street from Nara train station. Excellent onsen and relaxation area. This hotel has thought of everything- from room clothes and socks to almost free laundry center, free snacks, etc. The only downside was a very looong wait for breakfast- I gave up after 45 minutes so didn’t get to try it - but there’s a grocery with bakery across the street and lots of other restaurants within walking distance. Definitely recommend this hotel!
