Hampton Inn & Suites Oakwood Village-Cleveland

We loved this hotel. We actually checked out and requested a refund from another hotel in the area and stayed here instead. The property is clean, Mark that works in the breakfast area was wonderful! Staff was all friendly, pool was clean and fowls were always clean and available in the pool area. Highly recommended

Only stayed one night. It was super nice just like the pictures. Pool is decent size and it was warm. Patio right outside the pool area for parents watching their kids. Thats was nice. Starbucks which is not open yet but will be right in the parking lots. Mcdonadls to the left and a dunkin 2 blocks away. Sams club right across the street. It was perfect for our basketball family to stay swim and relax

Staff was happy and helpful during our stay. Only reason we took away 1 star was because the floors/ceilings were very creaky and you could hear anyone walking down the hall on our floor or the floor above you, occasionally the floor below you as well. Pool was big, workout room was nice and clean. Would stay here again and ask for a top floor room.

Room was clean, staff was super friendly, beds were comfortable, breakfast was fantastic and had plently of options. The gym was great too.

The hotel is very nice and clean, would stay here again. Only down fall is that it says it had a lounge/bar but they do not.

It's a large hotel. Everything has been freshly updated. The pool was very nice and everything is very comfortable.

The hotel was nice, but we woke up to a bed bug bite. The property did refund our nights stay, but we had to pay to wash our belongings and for the bed bug spray to ensure none followed us home.

The carpet in the bedroom 217 was dirty. If I walked with no shoes on, the bottom of my foot was black.

Towels were dirty, found bugs in the room

People/Staff were great, from front desk to breakfast to cleaning staff. All aspects of the hotel were very clean. The snack at midnight(behind the desk) was a neat touch. I needed a little something, it was there when I wanted it. Thank you.

I know the loss of power in the area and disruption of internet/wi-fi was not within the property’s control but made the stay less enjoyable because we had down time at the hotel and couldn’t utilize the services. Our room had gnats in the bathroom…which were reported to the front desk. For the cost of the room, just didn’t feel the room was at that level…

Great breakfast, clean rooms and lobby and great location!

Staff was wonderful and supportive, at front desk and at breakfast. Room was clean and well outfitted. Floors were VERY thin and we could hear every step the person above us took; since they were up and about during the night and up early in the morning, we just didn’t get any sleep.

The hotel room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. A decent breakfast was included with a large variety. Our party of four had two rooms on the third floor, a few rooms down from each other. Our only complaint was the noise from the above rooms on the fourth floor. There is basically no insulation or noise barrier in the ceilings. Anytime anyone walked or made any noise above us on the fourth floor, we could hear it. It was loud and didn't provide a lot of sleep for any of us. I recommend trying to get a room on the top floor. If we had a room on the top floor, our stay would have been perfect. As a side note, the hotel requires a payment of $20 upon check-in for damage occurance. They said it's refundable, but I haven't checked my account yet for reimbursement.

Hotel is styled nicely, recently renovated. Staff is helpful and cordial. Breakfast was great. Room styled very nicely. Only negative I would say is the bathroom door is a sliding barn door style. Fashionable but leaves a decent gap between door and door frame. No sound suppression at all for a bathroom, if you catch my drift. Located next to a Starbucks and McDonalds so that is convenient. Right off the Highway too.

The hotel is lovely - good location, safe area, walking, lots of grass for my dog, and close to a gas station and the highway. The halls however are NOT SOUND PROOF and a million people / kids were running, yelling, and slamming doors until well after 11PM. Also heard absolutely every foot step from the room upstairs! Driving 12 hours today and I have not slept at all. Stayed on a Sat night and it might have been better had I not had a room by the pool and first floor exit door.

Overall very good. Thr one downsiide was thwt you could hear sounds of people walking on the room above ours. Lost some sleep.becausenof that. The mattress was just ok, not super comfortable.

I partially expected Hilton quality services. However, it was motel like facilities and services. The noise from the next room and upstairs disturbed me. The exterior of the hotel was nice.

The hotel was bright and clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. The only downfall was the amount of noise that came from the floor above us. After going to an evening event, we got back to the hotel around 1:15am. We could hear walking and the floor above us creaking. This lasted on and off the rest of the morning, waking us up every so often. At 7:00 am, it became more frequent and noisier. If we stay again, we might need to bring some ear plugs.

The room was spacious with a place to sit while watching tv instead of just the bed. Room was very clean. The person who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. Very close to National Park. Comfy bed.

Check in was smooth and easy. Chance was awesome. Room was spacious, clean and had good amenities. Came back from dinner to find out there was a child's party next door. It was early enough, didn't mind me at first. It was after 9pm with kids screaming and banging on walls and adults cussing and not trying to to bring the mayhem under control or when they were in the hallway is when it got to be bothersome. This went on until 11/11:30 before finally i was able to fall asleep... woke up from hard bed around 4pm tossing and turning. Shower was nice. Breakfast was good. Second night uneventful. Check out was smooth with another good breakfast

When we arrived, the front desk attendant was no where to be found. We stood at the front desk for about 8-10 minutes when we noticed that the door to the back was cracked open and we could see a women sleeping at the break table. Another few guests walked up to buy snacks and the commotion eventually woke up the front desk attendant. She took forever finding my reservation and entering/verifying my info - I'm not sure what she was doing as she didn't speak other than tell me she needed a DL and credit card for incidentals. We got to our room, settled in, and when I went to run a shower, I noticed the bathroom smelled like mildew. I was too tired to try to find the front desk attendant to see if we can get another room, but overall, the experience was not of that I recall at the Hampton. This is one of my favorite hotels chains and I don't typically have issues. I will redeem them a bit by saying that the breakfast buffet attendant was very friendly. She offered to make me a waffle as she was cleaning everything up at 5-10 minutes before the end of the breakfast and had already removed the batter. And the housekeeping staff gave us a friendly goodbye and thank you as we walked out of our room. But when checking out, the other front desk agent was not very friendly either. Very bizarre to have a great experience by other people than the first image of the hotel.

I travel to Cleveland often and this has been my Hotel of choice for the 4 years. This time was VERY different. I could hear the room upstairs which never happens.. The bed was hard a brick..which also never happens .. Finally I arrived at 12am and requested a late check which they accommodated, however the house keeping staff tried to enter my room 4 times before I finally told her to stop. I have a late check out. I can TRULY say this was one of the worst stays Ive ever experienced while at this hotel. Very disappointing because usually its Nothing but 10s across the board.

The staff from Michael at Front Desk, James in the Cafe, to Steven, GM, everyone was approachable, informative, kind & considerate. Steven told us in advance that a large family reunion was arriving Friday & he was blocking off part of parking lot just for them to be together. He suggested parking on other side of the lot. Great advance planning!! Very clean, quiet property. Easy access to expressways and Downtown Cleveland.

Very nice stay ...Telisa at the front desk was very helpful and great to talk with....hotel was clean ,room was great ,the bed was comfortable and the breakfast and coffee was very good...an enjoyable stay

Front Desk Staff very rude!!!

Had to chase down the front desk attendant at 12:30 am to check in, but otherwise, everything was great including room, breakfast, cleanliness and convenience overall.

Sharon at the front desk was exception! Went above and beyond with a smile!

Breakfast was horrible. The food was tasteless the grits were watery. The coffee was horrible. The scones,bagels, and muffins were hard. I've stayed here several times and this was the absolute Worst.

This was our second time staying at this property. Sunday morning was very busy and the breakfast area was a mess, trash over flowing, no syrup, empty waffle mix, milk empty. And no person around to work the dining area. I was very upset with the amount of money we paid to stay here that this was the condition for breakfast. The other mornings were better during our stay but Sunday was very disappointing

The room got very hot at night. The breakfast options ran out quickly because the hotel was booked but the person refilling the breakfast items took her time and was bot friendly. Tje feont desk staff was amazing and super helpful!

This Hampton Inn was very clean,quiet, convenient. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The free Breakfast was excellent and the Gentleman in charge of setting up the breakfast was on top of his job and made sure evey station was filled and that everyone was happy.

Beds were uncomfortable and sheets didn't fit the bed well. Breakfast was below the standard Hampton Inn usually has.
