Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Marietta by IHG

Was clean and bright. Had a social time at 5:30 on the day we arrived.

Nice, well maintained and clean hotel. Felt safe and comfortable with a great breakfast and dog area outside.

Great room. New pool. Very nice people.

I've stayed here before and really like this place. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I only wish there was a tv guide channel and the coke machine on the 4th floor had anything in it.

The first thing I noticed was that they have ample parking. I really like my car and do not like parking near anyone. Check in was easy and the staff was nice. Upon entering the room I was surprised at how big it was! We got a king bed and there was also a chaise lounge. The room had a lot of storage so if you needed to stay for several nights or a week, it would be easy to unpack. Everything was clean. I always do a thorough check before bringing my luggage in. The next nice surprise was the bathroom! Hands down the nicest bathroom I have seen in a 2-3 star hotel. I don't know if all of the room have a sliding glass door in the bathroom. I noticed that the pictures of the location don't include a shower picture so maybe all of the rooms are not updated. This bathroom was very nice and spacious as well. There was no fan, but it did not get steamy when using the shower. There seemed to be low occupancy that nights so I only heard someone outside of the room one time. There was a downside.... We were in 332 which is the end near the road. Road traffic was very loud. Thankfully I came prepared for noise. I am a very light sleeper (my husband is not) and that could have easily ruined my stay. I do wonder how quiet the odd number rooms are that are closer to the parking lot. Also, if you are taller than 6 feet, the king size bed seems short. My husband's feet hung over. Overall, very happy with our stay. I have always had good luck at the remodeled Holiday Inn Express.

Average hotel. Snack area had nothing but Diet Coke for purchase. All of the vending machines were sold out of beverages as well. The staff was kind enough to let me grab some juice from the breakfast area.

The hotel was really clean and we had no problems whatsoever. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was amazing. The pool was clean and towels were well stocked. The only bad thing was that they Jim was not open as it said all the treadmills were down.

Overall a comfortable stay. We stayed two nights but there was no maid service when we came back from our day.

Staff was professional and very attentive. Carpet in the room looked clean, however, after walking in the room for a period of time I got into the shower and saw dirty spots on the bottom of the shower where my feet initially touched the stall floor. My conclusion is that the carpet had dirt imbedded in it and that dirt was transferred to my feet while walking around barefoot in the room. My wife made the same observation when she used the shower. FYI we stayed in Room 429.

Very clean rooms, comfy bed and bedding, good breakfast

This was a midpoint stop for us. Late Check-in early departure but it was well positioned and easily accommodated this. The room and facility were very clean and well kept. Breakfast was great

Shower curtain mold

The sheets had not been changed when we got into the room and the toilet had not been cleaned. There was pee drops on the toilet seat. When we told the people at the desk, one of them went up to reclean the room. But afterwards there was the same stain on one of the sheets. We generally try to stay in Holiday Inn Express motels because we have found them to be consistently good. We can no longer make that assumption. Very disapponted.

No wifi

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms need more towels. A double queen room had only 2 in it originally. But staff was able to supply more when asked. Breakfast was good with a lot of options.

Did not like that window covers were broken so we had no natural light. Otherwise, we did like the facility and staff. Especially Chef Ed.

Just checked out of room 331 after a night of very little sleep. The ac unit rattled, banged, and whistled all night, regardless of what setting it was on, and it provided inconsistent cooling. The front desk was absolutely no help. When the problem was brought up to them she merely said "Yeah we've been having troubles with just that room. First it was the heat and now it is the AC." So there is a known issue with a room but they continue to rent it out and offer no remorse or apology for their faulty equipment. Essentially we received the polite version of "not my f***ing problem." At that point I had no energy to deal with more brush offs and declined to mention the long black/brown hair on my "clean" towels. All I wanted was a decent night of sleep before attending the funeral that I was in town for. This was one of the better hotels in Marietta. The operative word, of course, being "was." Common sense and decent service are not to be found at this hotel. We thought we would save a little money by staying here. I highly suggest going to the Hampton Inn instead as the building may be a bit older but the service is always good.

Very nice motel. Rooms are large and clean. The staff were very polite and helpful. I highly recommend this motel.

We used this hotel so my mom could sleep comfortably in her own space while visiting family in the area. She is elderly and doesn’t move great but well enough. This hotel was very accommodating for her, and the staff were very sweet to her which is paramount.

I called 45 minutes before check in and asked about the incidental fee and was informed by Chrissy I would not have to pay that since the room was paid for already and they would use the card on file since it was a digital card payment. GREAT! When I checked in that was not the case, this is after Chrissy tried to find her glasses for 15 mins while cursing and leaving me standing at the front desk. I was then informed I had to use a different type of payment for the $25 incidental fee… I refreshed her memory about our phone conversation, not 45 minutes earlier. She then proceeded to tell me that that wasn’t her, and I said well on the phone you said your name was Chrissy and your name badge says Chrissy… she stated again that that was not her that I spoke to, after when I walked into the lobby told her my name she then said oh yes, I remember. I don’t know what was going on with her, but you may want to consider somebody else for your front desk.

Check in was a fiasco. The Expedia virtual card would not work. I should have walked out. It took 45 minutes and I was the only person trying to check in at the time.

Excellent stay. The hotel and room was welcoming and clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and treated us as valuable guests.

Convenient to college and shopping.

Easy access from freeway. Quick check-in and friendly, helpful front desk staff. Just a few minutes to downtown restaurants or fast food options on the way. Breakfast typical and kept stocked. Would stay again.

Close to town

The staff were friendly and this was a pristine hotel. It was perfectly clean. We were very pleased. Downtown Marietta is cute and not far away.

Room was amazing. Comfortable bed and plenty of room to move around. Didn’t love the breakfast buffet. Bacon was hard and almost inedible, pancake mix was empty with no one around to refill it. No bread for toast, fruit was aged and I think I offended a woman who was looking in cabinets. I thought she worked there and asked if they would refill the coffee cups. She did not work there and didn’t look amused I’d assume she did. Go for the room but forego the breakfast if you’re hungry.
