Main Hotel Frankfurt City

Needed a place close to the train station. Made the decision based on free cancellation, price, description and photos. The room was much darker than the photos, no side table lamps, TV broken, curtains hanging by a thread, hand held shower head did not fit the holder - had to take a 1 handed shower. No phone in the room. Door did not shut properly - had to push a chair against it to stop it from constantly rattling. Main fault - no lift (elevator) for 6 floors! Description listed on Hotels.com is incorrect - no bar or restaurant. It was not non-smoking. Smelled smoke and saw cigarette butts on the stairs. Staff was nice, bed was comfortable.

The shared bathrooms were not clean, especially the walls and the shared shower had no hook to hang clean clothes or a towel. The room was hot but you couldn’t keep the window open both due to noise and smoking but also I was on a fire escape and anyone could have come inside. Wifi cut out every 5 minutes. Would not stay here again and I had to extend my time in Frankfurt by a night and stayed for the same price down the street in a much nicer and cleaner place.

I was not aware of that there is no elevator/lift in the hotel. (Nothing mentioned from hotel.com) If you travel without any suitcase, it’s bearable.

This hotel was not as advertised. First, it has no elevator and we were given a room on the 5th floor with 3 giant bags of luggage we had to lug up and down. Second, the room we stayed in clearly had the door kicked in in the recent past. There was a chunk of doorframe that had been replaced (unpainted and held together by caulk and a handful of screws). Third, the area it is in is very unsafe. We had to dodge a bunch of people asking us for money and also trying to sell us their beers as we got in. We had to sleep with the window open because there was no AC and we were only given a desk fan to cool the entire room, and all night heard people yelling and arguing. This was the most scared I've ever been while traveling. Our room had a bunch of bugs in the bathroom and overall did not feel clean. The bed itself was horrible. It was hard and they gave us 2 of the flattest pillows known to man. Please heed my warning - do NOT book!!!

Die Lage ist gut - in fußläufiger Entfernung zum Hauptbahnhof. Zustand des Hauses, der Möbel, der Geräte ist wenig erfreulich: Treppenhandlauf wackelt, Fernseher funktioniert nicht, im Zimmer nur ein zentrales Deckenlicht, das nur von der Tür aus geschaltet werden kann, Toilettendeckel locker - das sind nur Beispiele.

It was not advertised as a 5 floor walk up. No thermostat. Seedy part of town. NOT near the airport!

Stained bedding, cigarette burns in bedding, stains on the walls, smoke detector removed

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was shocking from the moment I stepped inside. The floors were so sticky they clung to my shoes, and not just from poor cleaning—they appeared downright filthy. The bathroom was a horror show, with mildew and mold creeping across the tiles, an unsightly ring of poop stains in the toilet, and a sink that refused to drain. Even the walls looked diseased, flaking paint and ominous water stains that seemed to harbor more mold. The entire place reeked of must and smoke, like it hadn’t been aired out in years, and the grimy lobby was populated by some seriously shady characters. The lighting was practically non-existent, leaving the hallways feeling more like a back alley than a reputable hotel—especially unsettling given the already sketchy vibes. A decent night’s rest was impossible, thanks to raucous neighbors at all hours. Worst of all, the online photos might as well be from another planet; nothing remotely resembled what I saw in person. Overall, it was a terrible, unsettling experience that left me wondering what unsavory activities normally go on behind these dingy walls. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if it was the last hotel in Frankfurt!

Dirty everywhere. Stagnant smell, cigarettes butts in the floor and toilet, and who knows what. Broken furniture and holes Curtain dirty with stains and cigarettes holes We left 30 min after check in Disgusting place! Unsafe DO Not Promote it! We”ll claim a refund

The room was gross, it was dirty and there were stains on the walls all over. The room smell like smoke. The bathroom smells like piss and there were more stains on the walls. The shower sprayer was held together by duck tape. It was so loud in the apartment, the main window to the street did not have proper seals there were loose and need repair. Oh there are stains all over the windows too. The door did not seem to block out much noise either for the stairs. The floors look like they need to replaced 5 years ago. Even the picture that hung over the bed was unlevel.

The room doesnot look like pictures at all. We got towels lying on the floor, room was not properly clean, no drinking water or glasses in the room. For the second day they did not change the bed sheets, even though we asked for it.

Unfortunately the room was dirty. Sticky floors as soon as we arrived, broken shower stand, bathroom constantly smelt of urine, cigarette burn marks in the bedsheets. All drawers were stained. Corridors smelt strongly of cannabis. It was clear the other guest were smoking in their rooms. Staff however were lovely but overall I am far from pleased with my stay. The pictures did not represent the rooms at all.

It was so dirty and smelly the place was not a hotel at all. I complained about the dirt and smell in the room the gentelman at reception said best he can do is spray the room. I asked for a refund he said too late. I have attached picture of entrace to my room which i showed the reception guy. He siad its not direcly in you room. It smells of damp and mould and mould in the picture explains why.

Room stinks like an ashtray. Absolutely dirty. Asked receptionist to clean and a guy mop with a dirty mop using only water. Drawers with rubish from prior guests and sheets with cigarette burns Picture does not represent the room at all. They changed room on next day and gave another one that was dirty as well and same tobacco stench. In 4 days nobody came to clean, change sheets or towels or make the bed. An absolute scam! Don’t know how Expedia or Hotels.com take part in this scam. I feel cheated :-(

Las fotos que tenéis en la web no tienen nada que ver con la realidad, las esquinas de la ducha y la mampara estaban negras y sucias de cal, la taza del wc rota, el techo lleno de humedad, los espejos rotos, las cortinas parecían recogidas del vertedero,llenas de sangre y otras manchas que no soy capaz de catalogar, el nórdico sucio, la almohada estaba negra de suciedad, las mesillas de noche por limpiar, la televisión rota y sin mando a distancia. Pedí la hoja de reclamaciones y me dijeron que no tenían, me dieron un folio en blanco que supongo que después de molestarme en rellenarlo lo tiraría a la basura, he viajado mucho y he estado en muchos hoteles, pero esto no se puede catalogar como hotel, sinceramente es una pesadilla, sin contar que las habitaciones colindantes parecían discotecas, no me dejaron dormir hasta pasadas las 2 de la madrugada. He subido fotos en las reseñas de todo esto para dejar constancia

What I like: friendly staff who arranged lower level when he noticed our luggage’s. What I not like: sticky torn flooring, insufficient lighting in room, minimal amenities in room/hotel, noisy surroundings till early morning

Hôtel propre mais peu chaleureux, plutôt bien isolé de la rue mais pas des bruits venant des couloirs. Il y avait une odeur rémanente de cigarette dans une des chambres. Correct pour le prix.

The photos online are not the same bed and room. I was on a tiny bed in the corner and it was a very bleak and sad room. They never cleaned under the bed and there were tons of dirty things and papers underneath it. The toilet was dirty and disgusting and I'm not sure when it was cleaned last. At least the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. I feel like it should have been half the price for how much I paid. It's worth spending a little extra for another room. Also there were interesting guests next door continuously coming in and out of the room and knocking on the door before being let in and out....it felt very sketchy! It is a very convenient location so if you're ok with the bare minimum just to sleep for a layover, then go for it...however, if you find something better for 20-40 Euro more, I"d choose that route and splurge.

Leider sehr heruntergekommen und nicht so wie auf den Bildern

Ich habe schon in vielen Hotels übernachtet, aber dieses Zimmer war wirklich das Schlimmste, was ich je erlebt habe. Das Zimmer war heruntergekommen und wirkte, als hätte es seit Jahren keine gründliche Renovierung gesehen. Die Möbel waren alt und abgenutzt, die Wände voller Kratzer, und insgesamt hatte das Zimmer einen sehr vernachlässigten Eindruck. Der absolute Höhepunkt des Grauens war jedoch die Notausstiegstreppe – MITTEN im Zimmer! Ich habe so etwas noch nie erlebt. Ich hatte gehofft, wenigstens gut schlafen zu können, aber durch den ständigen Lärm von anderen Zimmern da die Türen so dünn wie Pappe waren und auch noch keine Isolierung erlebt hatten war das nur semi möglich. Insgesamt ein absolutes Desaster. Ich kann jedem nur raten, dieses Hotel zu meiden! Aber sauber war es tatsächlich! Müsst ihr wissen

Terrible terrible terrible. The hotel did not have a room for me, so they sent me to a awfully place 15 minutes away by car; they didn’t give any reasonable reason to move me away and took another family instead of me. I have already paid the night for a ridiculous high price and they didn’t reimburse a penny to me. For me it a 0 points hotel not even 1 they deserve.

El personal de la recepción fue muy amable, llegamos antes y aceptó hacernos el check in más temprano. La habitación estaba bien, se veía limpia, pero muy aromatizada y debajo de ese olor estaba un olor impregnado de como si alguien no se hubiera bañado por días, además olía a cigarro. Las habitaciones están muy juntas, hay mucho ruido. Los alrededores me parecieron inseguros, con muchos chicos como “cuidando” la zona. En general está bien, es barato, pero solo para ir de paso.

Really good budget hotel , could stand a "freshing up ( paint , upgrade in lighting, decor). Great location ,friendly staff. Shared toilet/ shower very clean. Small but comfortable bed.

Super Service

This was the worst stay in Frankfurt i ever experienced. there are many stairs to climb. I took a pic of everything If you book with or without room service, they offer to change your sheets every 3 days. (That was the duration of my stay) If you dont ask for fresh towels, there will be none offered. If you book a room for 2 they will leave only 1 big and 2 small towels in the room. The sheets, the curtains had stains. The mattress did not have any protecting sheet and it had stains and hairs. The floor had footprints and had black dirtspots everywhere. The table was a mess. It had dust and some weird spots. Looked like someone climbed on it wearing construction site shoes. The bed was so low, the mattress was very thin. There was no AC, only small ventilators that could not help since they were choked in dust. The mirror was barely clean. The room itself looks nothing like the picture. You will expect the walls to be white. Not only are they not, but they are really dirty. The furniture was barely standing. Disappointed! After the first night im this horrible room, I went to speak to the front desk. We did not complain the first night cuz we checked in late and were lazy to go down three floors. The front desk was so uninterested. Why would they ask me: „Ok. So was sollen wir den machen?“ So only when i demanded they give us a new room, they did that. And this room was somewhat better,Yet hygiene is a big problem. I am very upset

Aber der niedrige Preis, die Verkehrsanbindungen und das hilfsbereite Personal sind Pluspunkte. Heißt wenn man sensibel ist würde ich hiervon abraten, andernfalls erfüllt das Hotel seinen Zweck, wenn man nur mal n Bett für ein paar wenige Nächte benötigt

Es gab kein Zimmer für mich! Der nette Mann an der Rezeption hat mich aber trotz Messe woanders unterbringen können! Das war klasse!

Localização é boa e tranquila apesar de estar perto da red light district. A cerca de 300 metros da estação central (houptbahnof) e 1 km da praça Romerberg, dá para conhecer todos os pontos turísticos a pé. Os funcionários foram muito prestativos e guardaram nossas malas após o checkout, pois nosso trem só saia às 23:00. Não tem elevador, tivemos que subir três escadas carregando as malas. No geral o hotel é limpo e agradável, eu reservaria novamente.

The pictures are nothing like what the property was. The hotel is located in a less desirable location of the city. There is only on street parking and very little of it located around the hotel. It is an old building with no air conditioning (my fault for not looking closer at the listing). This is definitely where you get what you pay for.

This hotel should have a "do not resuscitate" order on it. We paid over £1000 because it was exhibition week in Frankfurt. There's no entrance lobby, no breakfast, door didn't close properly, heating didn't work, lights were broken. Don't stay here
