Room was good, but the restaurant left much to be desired. We had signed up for free breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was closed for dinner on Saturday (for a wedding) and Sunday. Closed on Monday because the chef didn't show up. Desk personnel did not even know the restaurant did not serve dinner on Monday. Told us to wait until 6:00 -- then the bar tender let us know.

The staff was excellent & friendly. The room was nice & clean, with the exception of the mirror. The major disappointment with our 2 day stay is we specifically chose this hotel for the heated pool & jacuzzi for my 5 year old niece to go swimming & neither were usable…the pool was ice cold / too frigid for swimming & the jacuzzi was empty - we asked the front desk if they could check with maintenance about heating the pool & they said they would but it was never resolved! We made the best of it but had to play in the room for our stay versus enjoy the pool like we wanted!! I wish we would have known ahead of time!!

This is my usual go-to place when staying in the Detroit greater area. Staff is always super helpful and nice. The hotel is a bit of a slightly older renovation but overall well taken care of with higher ended finishings. My only big complaint is the faucet in the bathroom is not what it should be. The spout should be longer as you can't help but get water all over. I have probably stayed at this hotel about a dozen times at this point. Or also to note I drive an EV car and they do have free electric charging stations.

The restroom on the main floor was dirty with paper towel everywhere on the counter, the floor and overflowing in the waste basket. My room was also dirty with crumbs on the floor and food in the frig, there was also personal affects on the bathroom counter from previous guest- made me wonder if it had been cleaned at all.

I had an overall great stay. The room was very clean and the staff was attentive. I was a little concerned before arriving because of reviews about door key issues, and I did experience that problem. My key only worked once, and I had to return to the desk three times. A manager came up, confirmed the lock needed to be changed, and they fixed it the same day, which I appreciated. Aside from that, the bed was decent and the property was well-kept. I would stay here again.

Hotel experience was awful. Mold in the bathroom, a very odd smelling room and bed. Their restaurant had only pizza and burgers and the beer was warm with a very rude bartender / waitress. Lady at the front desk cared nothing about the mold or smell in my room and offered to have someone can and spray my room with air freshener. Breakfast was not included as my reservation I guess did not include breakfast. I have never had an awful experience like this one.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience, but I want to take a moment to highlight the exceptional service provided by Amanda at the front desk and Shanell, the cook. When I arrived at 9:30 PM, I was eager to settle in after a long day. Unfortunately, the room I was assigned had no heat, despite being told several times that it would warm up. Unfortunately, it never did. After a long, cold night, I had to request a room change the next morning. At 8 AM, I moved to a second room, but again, it lacked heat. By 9:30 AM, I was moved to a third room that finally had heat, which was much needed since the outside temperatures were below 20°F. Despite the inconveniences, Amanda and other staff were incredibly kind and understanding throughout the process. They did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable, Shanell, the cook, also went above and beyond to make sure I had a satisfying dinners to end the day. Her friendly attitude was a welcome boost during a somewhat frustrating situation. Other guests mentioned they had similar issues with heating in their rooms, and while they were given extra blankets and portable heaters, none were offered to me on the first night. When I inquired the next morning, the staff explained that the maintenance man wouldn't be in until 10 AM, and heaters were available if needed. I was in town for business and stayed at the Holiday Inn Farmington Hills for 3 nights. My room was very clean, spacious and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had excellent lighting for applying makeup (you know what I mean, ladies), and also had a hair dryer. Breakfast was included and was good enough to hold you over until lunchtime. The location is great with some restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. Also nearby were several shopping centers, so there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Nice place! I'd stay there again. About a 30-35 minute drive from DTW.

This was a more modern take on a hotel room. Lots of plugs and USB outlets, hooks to hang things on and a nice moveable table and chair for those who might like to work. I think other hotels could take some hints from how these rooms are organized. I will definitely stay here again.

I rented a suite it had no air-conditioning so they had to downgrade me to a double bed with one room instead of a kitchenette, separate bathroom and bedroom. I would love to be comped a free room because I was not happy with the room I was in.

We arrived at the hotel from the airport at 3pm and asked if we can check in early. We were told we had to pay $50. I was not paying that fee. Check was at 4pm. Our concern is normal check in at most hotels are 3pm. If customers have to check out by 11am, we didn't see why we could not check in at 3pm. We literally had to wait around for 1 hour in order to get into our room. That is ridiculous!! After traveling by plane to the hotel we had to wait an hour to rest our heads. Good thing we didn't travel with young children!

Room and facilities, including stairs, were clean and well maintained. Comfortable bed and pillows They have refillable bathroom toiletries (shampoo, soap,etc) and recycle containers. Staff were friendly and breakfast was decent, included fresh fruit (bananas apples and oranges) hot bacon, sausage and eggs, the usual cold cereal, bagels, muffins and yogurt. Close to highways but no road noise. I Would definitely stay here again

Room was great and check in was great!! "Restaurant" was closed most of the days of my visit which was frustrating because I didn't have a car and was counting on my hotel to have food. The one day I did attempt try the restaurant i think she told me all they had was chicken in the back for food and were out of wine. Ended up door dashing. Otherwise hotel was nice and clean and had no issues.
