Appearances can be deceiving. When we pulled up I didn't expect much from here, but, when we got to our room, it was clean, and everything was in great working order. The back side of the motel has a fire pit, picnic table, and wooden swing. You can sit out and relax. The check in lady was nice, everyone we saw here that worked here was nice. It's not the Hilton but definitely not a hotel 6.

This was a great place for a quick trip. The buildings are dated but tge rooms have been updated. You are close to all the Blue Ridge areas/cities. As for safety, the hotel has upgraded to electric locks, in case anyone is worried about safety.

It was obvious the place is trying to turn a 30 yr old business into a modern one. The bathroom was upgraded with new fixtures and was presentable. New fake wood flooring throughout helped keep it clean. It had a microwave and mini fridge. On the CON side. The HVAC system did not heat the room AT ALL and the fan was extremely loud. It was mounted at floor level so you needed to lay on the floor to read the controls. They did supply 2 drinks at the even social. (Bottles of beer (1 brand) or a glass of red or white wine. Wonderful girl’s weekend with my BFF! The room was well decorated. The only issues were the barn door to the bathroom kept coming off the hinges, and we had trouble locating the ice machine. The breakfast was great with good options. Keurig in the room was also a plus! Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

It was not clean, floor was dirty, bed had grass on it. Shower wasn’t clean. I had to go to the store and get cleaners to clean the room so we could stay there. K Cup that was left for us was used. It was like the owner had tried to get it updated but it wasn’t updated well. The paint job was sloppy as well as the grout job. If there wasn’t enough tile they just filled it in with grout. Breakfast was not really a thing. On Saturday there were 4 adults (2 in my party) waiting and they brought out 4 pieces of bacon. The waffle iron wasn’t working correctly so we went somewhere else to eat. I never saw anyone at the front to talk too about any of the issues. Even at check in, we had to call and the maintenance man came to check us in about 10 minutes later. There was a strong skunk smell at check in and my instinct was to refuse the room but I wasn’t sure how that would work since it was past the time to cancel the room. And I didn’t know if we could get another room for the night, so we roughed it out.

Room was average, grounds were lacking upkeep, there were absolutely tons of huge spiders in our room , the water pressure in the shower was barely enough to take a shower A couple times the room filled with the smell of weed and cigarette smoke so I ran the bathroom exhaust fan full-time There was a giant RV in the front parking lot often on couple times which was weird The staff on site were nice For the price that we paid it was definitely overpriced, but that’s about as good as it gets in that area I guess

Room was extremely clean. Seem to have a minor bug problem. Killed three small bugs while staying there for the week. My not giving this location. A total five star was of the upkeep of the exterior. Rust needing paint, grass, cutting and general condition inside of the main lodge area. Seems like they’re in a transition.

The room was very dirty. The furniture was covered in mold. It seemed like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. On top of that, they charged me $50 for one night for my dog, who was cleaner than the room itself. Terrible. I would never go back.

The room had been redone and was in pretty good shape. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was very loud and hard to control to keep at a decent temperature. The tv did not work very well. We were told it would be a very good breakfast and bacon was even mentioned, however the breakfast had a few eggs and no bacon. Basically there was no breakfast and no attendant. Very disappointing!

Pretty cheap and quiet place. Good breakfast as well. I was just expecting what the pictures showed with a nice walk in tile shower. We got a tub shower. and the bed was very weird, at first it felt soft, and then you just slowly sank to the bottom and there was no box spring. so it made for an uncomfortable night of sleep. I'd call it a 2 star motel with breakfast.

The room was clean, beds adequate, but the A/C struggled to overcome the heat and it was very noisy. We had only one hand towel, but they readily provided more when we asked. The breakfast was skimpy. They had a waffle maker and scrambled eggs but no bacon or sausage and no pastries. The only juice was a bottle of Sunny D and the only fruit was a small lunch packet of peaches or mandarin oranges. The place did not live up to its reviews. We were safe and it was quiet, but we were disappointed.

Amazing, they allowed me to check in over the phone which I’ve never heard of before! Additionally the rooms have high tech door handles that require a key code. The room was clean and looked just like the high end hotels and provided many things that smaller places usually don’t like a freaking makeup towel, hair dryer (a good one), shampoo etc! The beds were even comfier than some nicer hotels. As a female solo traveler, motels usually creep me out to the max but this place made me feel safe! Highly recommend when looking for a stay in blue ridge

The inn is very clean. The owners and staff go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. They were very accommodating and friendly. The inn is conveniently located to area attractions. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation, arrived after the lobby was closed (9-10). Lady at the front desk charged us for the normal rate without looking at our reservation but was corrected the next morning. Employees were friendly. Continental breakfast was VERY minimal. Beds were not the best and our bathroom door wouldn’t close. Overall, it’s what u would expect for the price point. We spent more time sleeping in the room than anything else.
Family vacation, arrived after the lobby was closed (9-10). Lady at the front desk charged us for the normal rate without looking at our reservation but was corrected the next morning. Employees were friendly. Continental breakfast was VERY minimal. Beds were not the best and our bathroom door wouldn’t close. Overall, it’s what u would expect for the price point. We spent more time sleeping in the room than anything else.

No other lodge in the area has the acreage for your pet or fire pit to relax by while looking at the. Occasional beetle gets in your room but what do you expect when visiting the mountains. Food places are one mile away and downtown is 1.8 miles away.

I very nice older mom & pop hotel/motel. People were super friendly and helpful, going out of their way to bring extra ice for me for example. Place shows its age, but it is not a resort experience, just a clean, place in a good location between Ellijay and nearer to Blue Ridge without the high prices.

This was a great place for a quick trip. The buildings are dated but tge rooms have been updated. You are close to all the Blue Ridge areas/cities. As for safety, the hotel has upgraded to electric locks, in case anyone is worried about safety.

Hidden gem if your simple. We came to blue ridge for an overnight couples trip. We stayed at this location after having tried some others in the area before. This place is significantly cheaper but a good option for a cheaper price. We can’t complaint and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely recommend others give this spot a try for a short trip !

They have a full breakfast, rooms are remodeled, and we loved happy hour! Best greenspace in town. It was less than 1.5 miles to downtown and we saved $150 over the other 2 hotels in the area that wouldnt be afraid to stay at.

The room had been redone and was in pretty good shape. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was very loud and hard to control to keep at a decent temperature. The tv did not work very well. We were told it would be a very good breakfast and bacon was even mentioned, however the breakfast had a few eggs and no bacon. Basically there was no breakfast and no attendant. Very disappointing!

The room was clean, beds adequate, but the A/C struggled to overcome the heat and it was very noisy. We had only one hand towel, but they readily provided more when we asked. The breakfast was skimpy. They had a waffle maker and scrambled eggs but no bacon or sausage and no pastries. The only juice was a bottle of Sunny D and the only fruit was a small lunch packet of peaches or mandarin oranges. The place did not live up to its reviews. We were safe and it was quiet, but we were disappointed.

It was obvious the place is trying to turn a 30 yr old business into a modern one. The bathroom was upgraded with new fixtures and was presentable. New fake wood flooring throughout helped keep it clean. It had a microwave and mini fridge. On the CON side. The HVAC system did not heat the room AT ALL and the fan was extremely loud. It was mounted at floor level so you needed to lay on the floor to read the controls. They did supply 2 drinks at the even social. (Bottles of beer (1 brand) or a glass of red or white wine. Wonderful girl’s weekend with my BFF! The room was well decorated. The only issues were the barn door to the bathroom kept coming off the hinges, and we had trouble locating the ice machine. The breakfast was great with good options. Keurig in the room was also a plus! Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Rooms were renovated and clean (although there was a slight musty smell) with new bedding, furniture etc. Staff was friendly, the breakfast was not available on Sunday. The motel was quiet other than noisy air units (these hopefully will be updated with ongoing renovations). Overall nice stay, and bargain for the $$.

Check-in was probably the best part -- very friendly desk clerk! The rooms were ample size, the bathrooms were large. Parking was spacious/safe, location was handy right along the Appalachian HWY. Price was reasonable. The shower didn't have much water pressure and the A/C ran constantly, although it did keep the room comfortable.
