The rooftop bar was noisy and overcrowded. Everyone coming off the street into the elevators to get to the bar. This town shuts down when the train stops moving and the bar is the only thing open.

Power outage the afternoon we were going to eat at the hotel’s restaurant…were told they were not serving. Bed so so… nothing special. We asked for an ironing board our first morning. The one that was in the room was broken!!! We asked 3 different times… never got one!!! The baseboards were packed with dust… the floor always felt like sand was on it. I don’t think this room had been throughly cleaned in a long time. Hampton Blue Ridge charged us to park in the hotel’s parking lot!!!! No idea about that charge until we checked out and there’s NO WHERE TO PARK EXCEPT IN THEIR LOT!!!!!! So tacky…. Not about the money…. Hidden charges!!!! Find another place to stay!!! We have stayed in cabins there and will again!

Upon arrival the hotel is clean outside and in the common areas. It is new and up to date. Our room had crumbs in the floor, hair balls under the counter in the bathroom and it had a musty smell. For the price and Hilton brand it was extremely disappointing. The beds are spring beds and we all slept awful.

The hotel needs some cleaning of the carpets or deodorizing. I think the fact that it allows dogs, and it has no pleasant scents put in its air conditioning give the hotel an unpleasant smell. Also, this is the second time we have stayed in one month because we travel there for business quite often, that there is no hair conditioner or shampoo in the room. They have those big bottles that sit on the wall and they are empty. When asked if someone could bring them, we were told it was going to be a while so my husband got dressed and went downstairs to get them himself. You can tell they do not have enough staff. The staff at breakfast is very helpful though. Overall, it’s ok but I understand why it is rated only 2.5 stars.

Seriously, teach your maids how to clean the rooms properly. Bed sheets had a stain on them and the floor was dirty. I found a piece of dried food next to the bed. Stayed for 2 nights and after the first night the maids did not come back to clean the room. Also paid additional for parking and the lot was full by the time we arrived. Makes absolutely no sense. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Will not be back!

For the price I had expected more. This was a plain room that had not been swept well. There were piles of crumbs/whatever that had been swept into the side and corners. The staff was nice and the breakfast was just average for a hotel breakfast. We even had to go get an extra towel because there wasn’t enough in our room. I was just a little disappointed because for over $300 a night it should have been extremely nice.

Property is right in the middle of Blue Ridge. Don’t book a Juliet balcony room if the train is operating that day - they warm up the engine at 7:30am on that side of the property. They charge for parking. Hotel seems pretty new.

Hotel rooms are lacking in warmth. Rooms are very spartan and not a good value. King size bedding have small pillows, which are way too soft and should be replaced. Not comfortable at all. Great location, but not a good value.

The location is perfect. The hotel is new and clean. The Burgers at the roof top bar are excellent. The hotel is next to the train so if your room is facing the tracks you will hear the train engine and the whistle early in the morning.

The room was modern upgraded but not cozy. The hotel was in good shape but maid service was every other day . There were only 2 towels. Should have been 4 since the maid service was every other day. Breakfast was typical, coffee was good. I stopped at McDonalds for a better breakfast

We arrived quite early for our reservation. The hotel staff was wonderful and luckily our room was already ready. The room was clean and comfortable - we loved that there was no carpet in the room! We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to do, thanks to the central location. Every staff member we came into contact with was so helpful and friendly, and the breakfast spread was perfect for us to grab a quick bite before we set off for our daily adventures. We will definitely stay here again!

Right in downtown next the Blue Ridge Scenic train. All shops and restaurants are walking distance. Has a nice roof top bar. Customer service was excellent! Never had staff as friendly and helpful as the two front desk gentlemen that were working there during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel for your next Blue Ridge stay.

The room was clean and updated. The bed was comfortable, too. We ate at the hotel restaurant because we didn't know the area and didn't find a whole lot of dining options- especially after 4pm. Parking was convenient- but not free. Also, they held $25 on my credit card just in case I broke something in the room. I've never had a national hotel chain do that to me before. (I've never broken anything either!)
