La Quinta by Wyndham Chicago O'Hare Airport

It is hard to objectively rate a hotel after waiting over one and a half hours for the shuttle from the airport. You absolutely MUST state in your email regarding the shuttle that it is offered in conjunction with Hyatt Place Hotel, and that the van has predominant Hyatt Place lettering on the side, with a SMALL square with “La Quinta Hotel”, and that the van is blue and yellow (not just blue) and that the van may stop several hundred feet from OR at Door 2C of terminal 2 arrivals. Believe me, this will help your rating.

Room was clean and modern. TV was a decent size to view from the bed (some places still use small tvs and too small to really watch from bed). The cable on TV was clear. The breakfast was fine. Adding a daily parking fee when there is not limited parking is gouging, in my opinion.

Shuttle service from the airport is a disaster. Waited over an hour. Ended up paying for an Uber.

Hotel was fine but what ruined the experience was the airport shuttle. It was a fail from start to finish. When we arrived at the airport we were at terminal 5, we called the front desk and they told us to go to terminal 2 to catch the shuttle and that it would be there in 10 min. We hauled over there and stood at the door we were told…30 min went by and no shuttle, then we were told it already left! Apparently we missed it because shuttle pick ups are on the lower level..none of which was told to us by the front desk. Once we finally got a shuttle 2 hours later IT STOPPED AT TERMINAL 5, exactly where we started the whole saga. The front desk needs to give CLEAR instructions, you can catch it at terminal 5 or 2, lower level. THEN then next morning we had signed up for the 9am airport shuttle. We got to the lobby at 8:57 and were told it had already left!!! The front desk said “it’s logical to be here 5 min early, the driver needs to keep on schedule” !?! But the schedule is 9am not 8:55 departure!! PLUS there’s a list so they would know if people are missing so the driver should wait until 9 then leave..you know..like the schedule says?? If everyone on the list is on the shuttle then sure leave 5 min early. At no point were we told (nor is it written on the schedule sheet) to be downstairs early in case the driver decides to leave prior to schedule. We spoke to the manager and he gave the same response “the driver needs to keep on schedule” Logic at this place is lacking..

I picked this hotel specifically because it said it included a free airport shuttle. No where did it state that the shuttle does not run after 10 PM. I found that out only AFTER completing my reservation. I paid $42 for a one-way taxi ride to the hotel just because my flight came in at 10.35 PM. Major inconvenience.

We signed up for a shuttle time in the morning to get to the airport, as instructed. When we arrived, the shuttle that showed up was from a different hotel and had no room for us—or for several other guests who were also waiting. The next shuttle was the same story: no space available. Ultimately, we had to call an Uber to make our flight, which was frustrating, especially since both the website and hotel staff assured us that a complimentary airport shuttle was included. I’d recommend choosing one of the other nearby airport hotels instead—this experience was stressful and disappointing.

Average, although lobby and hallways need a carpet cleaning. No automatic checkout. I waited at the airport for an hour before the hotel shuttle came. When it arrived i was told there wasn't enough room and that the next shuttle would be in 40 minutes. Unacceptable, i had to take a cab.

The hotel looks very nice. Parking is easy. However, to change $20 per night is just plain disrespectful. I give 1 star when it comes to quietness. The doors to the room are about 1 inch from the floor thus you can hear everything that's going on in the hallway. I cannot recommend this hotel.Find another hotel in the area

We stayed at this hotel in order to take the shuttle to the airport. We woke up early and got downstairs in plenty of time but when the shuttle pulled up we were met with the issue of there not being enough room for people or luggage. When my husband booked the shuttle he was specifically asked how many people and how many bags. It was completely stupid and inconsiderate to push us to the later shuttle. We couldn't take the later shuttle because we would have missed our flight. We ended up having to cancel the hotel parking fee and driving our own car to the airport where we paid more than double for parking. Ridiculous customer service. The guy at the front desk did not seem to know how to handle the issue at all. What's the point of asking how many people and how many bags when it doesn't matter. Terrible service. I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here just for that reason. There's no guarantee you will be able to take the airport shuttle. They need to have a bigger vehicle or two! Common sense! The hotel is very nice inside, but if you arrive after dark the parking lot is barely lit and the hotel faces the opposite direction of the street so parking is in the back. They need to do some work on the parking lot, lighting and signs to get in and out.

Great place, close to O’Hare airport. Free shuttle, back-and-forth to airport. Full breakfast buffet in the morning. The only thing lacking with this hotel for me is no on-site bar/restaurant but I walked across a busy road to go to Outback and had a late dinner there.

I stayed here for one night and came home with bedbug bites. The hotel smelled funny. Bathroom floor was sticky. Shuttle to airport was booked full. I had to call a taxi.

Dirty, and I didn't feel safe. The walls, the elevator, the bathroom... there was oil on the nightstand, lumps on the side of the shampoo and conditioner that hadn't been wiped down, and ugly visible pipes in the bathroom. The elevator was filthy up to over halfway up the wall. I don't know why people have rated this hotel so high. It does not deserve it.

Very sparse room. No luggage rack. Few pillows for 4 people and asked the front desk for more but they were unable to help. Lobby restroom was filthy and unusable.

George was very friendly and helpful and my room was cleaned well during my recent stay at LaQuinta. However, the hotel was very dirty - there were stains in the hallways that looked like vomit and a spill in the breakfast area that went uncleaned. Also, the breakfast was very underwhelming and limited. For the cost of my stay, I would've expected more.

Reception attendant was very courteous and friendly. The room was super! Clean, a comfortable bed, nice shower, good lighting, comfortable temperature, quiet, lovely decor, and even appliances including a coffee maker.

This would have been an acceptable stay had I not woken up with bug bites. I had several on my legs and arms.

Ac unit didn't work. Noisy.

Stayed here to attend a show at the arena next door and it was perfect. Loved being able to walk to the show and not deal with traffic. Also loved watching all the airplanes fly overhead (fun in that terrifying sort of way). Room was clean and it was mostly pretty quiet. Front desk staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend, especially for the main reason listed above.

The air conditioner in the room was broken it was fairly warm. We had our dogs with us so the air conditioner was important. They gave us a couple fans after i complained.

Everything was wonderful. Clean facilities, great staff, ease of check in/out. But. The hotel was SO MUGGY that there was no escaping it. I tried turning the air on. Then I was cold and wet instead of just wet. I have no idea where the humidity was coming from, but it was stifling and could not be avoided.

Very quiet due to sound-proofing from outside noise which is super implant because hotel is on landing path for air-lanes coming into O’hare Airport. European heat/ac system that is quiet and efficient. Comfortable bedding and nice linens. Modern glass-shower bath. Very nice surprise!

Everything was well great except for them having only 1 person checking in people. I waited about 30 minutes to get checked in. The other issue was the A/c unit which I could not turn on. I tried calling room service and the phones were dead (no service). Other than that, everything worked out well.

Beds are comfy! I enjoyed seeing all the planes flying over the hotel.

Check in was ok. A little busy for one person. One elevator was a little maddening. Got to our room and it was a little warm. Actually A LOT warm! Notified front desk because THE FRONT DESK CONTROLS YOUR ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR SOME REASON! I’m sure there’s an eco reason why, but that is completely off-putting. Kind of ruined my stay. You can’t even control the temp in your own room that you paid for. I almost slept in the hallway because it was more comfortable. All was not lost at this hotel. The lady running the morning breakfast was AMAZING & pleasant. She made sure everything was hot and prepared well. Even showed me how to make a waffle using the waffle press. Plus I think our room used to be an accessible room because of the huge door that never shut & always swung open. Also the handle on the sink fell off. Told front desk about it. Don’t know if it was fixed. Check if you stay in room 421

stayed over a weekend. close to an "L," station to go downtown, but if you don't have a car its not really a walk. room quiet considering it's directly in the flight path for O'Hare. however, in the parking lot planes are really loud & close. THE GOOD: the beds: comfortable-appreciated the mattresses in bags. Good # of electric plugs in reach pillows: not very firm and overly squishy. the room was large sized (1 king), clean furnishings. the shower was clean, w a sm shelf in a good spot w/ a fairly high shower head. THE BAD: only 1 chair in the room. says it has a fitness center, but it really has one or two treadmills, and one combo machine. better than nothing, but nothing great. breakfast did not have the greatest of choices. it had a make your own waffle my daughter said was just so so. She said the donuts were chewy, and had very little flavor. like just plain dough. they have a little market, which does have a couple of drinks, some microwave snack and chips, but I did not see much for incidentals..however, Target IS right down the street. stayed at the end of July, and it was hot. the lobby, which is where you also eat was warmer. The AC did a good job cooling. but did not take out the humidity. often felt dampness in the room. there is no fan in the shower, which did not help this problem. Water pressure is ATROCIOUS and not steady HE SO-SO: TV guide not working. only three hangers in the organizer (no closet), could hear people in the hall, 1 cup in room.

Young lady working late night was very rude when I called about the shuttle! O'Hare Airport was shut down for several hours to do weather, so we we're about 5 hours late arriving. You would think management would make adjustments for these issues. She was any nicer when we checked in.

The customer service was great. Friendly staff very knowledgeable. Quick and easy check in. We loved our stay at the hotel. The hotel is very clean. The bed is comfortable .We had a great stay. Next time we are in town we will definitely stay here again. The outside of the property needs some maintenance. It looks like is abandoned and sketchy but as you drive to the back of the building it looks nice.

There was only 1 person checking everyone in and some had done their check in online. Waited 20 minutes or more to check in due to there only being 1 person. The hotel was busy do to the concert that evening should have planned to have someone else helping check people in. Police were there when we arrived and had a bag they carried thru the hotel lobby.

Customer service was not what I expected. The staff were not friendly at all. They kept leaving the front desk to go smoke outside every 30minutes. I asked if I could check in 1hr early and the front desk girl said NO. With an attitude. Other than that rooms were ok.

We were told we had to pay a $20 parking charge which was not stated on hotels.com or the hotel’s website. We asked for a mgr and were told there would not be one til the next day. When we got to our room it reeked of marijuana. We told the front desk and they wrote it down on a spiral notepad. Other than that the room was nice, great location and good breakfast. The service was just bad.

The front desk gentleman working on the evening of Feb 16, 25 was probably the most gracious, genuinely kind man I have had the pleasure of meeting. If I could give him 10* I would. I would recommend this hotel because of him

Sup.posed to get shuttle service to and from the airport. Didn't get either. Had to pay for a taxi both ways. Asked for a wake up call, didn't get it almost missed my flight. Had to run my but off. Very nerve wracking. When i got to the hotel man at the desk said I had booked two rooms. I hadn't.

This is singlehandedly the only hotel I will pick for two reasons: the commodities and price. The staff have always been exceptional, they’ve met every request I’ve asked for (extra pillows, blankets, flat sheets, towels) Clean facilities every time I visit. Free breakfast Yes, there is traffic from the airport, but it is within 15-30 minutes of downtown. I think it’s well worth it, just leave earlier, lol. If you’re worried about noise too, very quiet location.

Absolutely Heartless – Zero Compassion or Customer Service I had a family emergency and contacted La Quinta/Expedia to either cancel, move the check-in date, or at least offer a credit. The response? A cold, robotic "no." No flexibility, no understanding, and definitely no empathy. All they cared about was keeping my money. I explained the seriousness of the situation — a critical family illness — and was met with indifference. As I write this, my family member has just passed away. So thank you, La Quinta and Expedia, for the outstanding care and top-notch service you didn’t provide during one of the worst times of my life. Your refusal to help or even show a shred of humanity is disgusting. I will never book through you again, and I highly recommend others avoid you as well.

Had a few quirks, like a $20 parking fee and being behind another hotel. That said, it was a nice place to staged prior to a flight from O’Hare Airport.

Overall ok but messy around the hotel

Close to O’Hare. Reasonably priced. Back of the property is run down.

The curb appeal and cleanliness of the outside wasn’t great. The inside was clean and felt safe. Short walk to the Allstate Arena.

Perfect location for shows at the Allstate Arena. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Location is right next to the freeway and planes fly overhead often which makes a person worry about noise. When inside you can’t hear a single plane or traffic. Even the pre-party post party crowd outside was not heard. We will definitely look to book again in the future.

Staff was friendly at check-in and lots of affordable food options within walking distance.

Easy check in. Right across the parking lot from Allstate and walked to our concert. Comfortable room. Clean. Good shower. Dove products.

When you enter the property you only see an old hotel, it's a bit disconcerting until you realize La Quinta is at the other end of the property

Exceptional property for the price. Clean, updated, professional and courteous staff, nice amenities. Rooms are spacious, trendy furniture, newer carpet, clean. Next to highway but no highway noise. Very close walk to Allstate arena and shopping/restaurants. This is my first pick for staying in Rosemont next time. Impressed.

It was super close to the airport

We stayed there on our trip to and from Alaska, via O'Hare. The hotel and room was clean and orderly. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Shuttle service was a little long in the waiting on our outing going trip at airport. Incoming was awesome! Only drawback from a perfect score was the continental breakfast. It was not at all pleasing. But thats a hard thing to do, with all the different tastes people have.

My friend and I only stayed one night but we were really happy with our choice of hotel. Super clean with well maintained rooms. The complimentary breakfast was really good and well stocked at all times!

Check in staff couldn’t have cared any less we were there but she checked us in I guess. Rooms were nice. Very quiet for being at O’Hare. Breakfast was subpar.

I really liked the comfort and the appearance of my room. Updated and very clean. My complaints are: $20 nightly parking fee. This didn't pay for security and the lot was quite unkempt. The complimentary breakfast was very good but it seems about 8:00 the food wasn't being re-supplied. Milk ran out three of the five days I stayed. Lastly I couldn't understand why the room wasn't being stocked daily with clean linen and towels. I had to ask the front desk for clean towels. Maybe I didn't read some fine print?

Breakfast items were already over at 8:30 ( the end time is 9:30). Staff support was terrible when this issue was mentioned to them.
