Loved that rooms are available with outside entrance and interior so can easily take dog out. Well lit area. Parking was plenty. Shuttle to areas around convenient. Trouble with TV but they are upgrading system.

Was there for a business conference. I am amazed to find hotels that are still so inaccessible for differently abled people. Many stairs and long hallways with stairs up and down in the middle of the hallways. Also no ice machines were functioning in the hotel.

This hotel was pretty good, but it wasn’t excellent. They do not offer any kind of complementary breakfast or coffee. They have a restaurant located inside the hotel in which you have to wait to be seated and then order off a menu and then pay for your meal. The food at the restaurant is OK, but it’s nothing to write home about. The room was slightly above average and it was fairly clean, however, they do not provide any sort of housekeeping if you are staying in a room for multiple days. The fitness center had multiple machines, but some of them were not working properly. The hotel has a nice hotel bar. The drinks are fairly good, but they are very much overpriced. I probably will not go out of my way to stay here again, but I won’t avoid this hotel either.

Not disabled friendly. No elevators, steps and stairs everywhere. The restaurant was woefully understaffed for breakfast, which was unacceptable as there were 20 sleeping rooms booked for the event. Where did they think we were going to have breakfast!

It was an old hotel that smelled very old and musty. It really was a bad smell. I went directly to a store to buy air freshener and plugins. The bathrooms were tiny. The beds were doubles so they were great for 1 person each. They were comfortable. The air conditioner worked great. The rooms served their purpose. The outdoor pool was nice but there was no where to sit. It was extremely over crowded. The restaurant served delicious drinks and mediocre food. The menu is too fancy and pricey for the hotel. The ice machine for one half of the hotel was out of ice every morning. Overall, it seemed cleaned, but smelly. I would stay somewhere else next time.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years and we have seen many improvements. Very nice and the staff were friendly. One thing that I am sure many guests have spoken about. No lifts very much a draw back for visitors

This hotel is disgusting. Once you walk through the door you get an overwhelming smell of mold. Literally the carpets are harboring nasty bacteria for that type of smell. Our room had such a strong smell of mold that we spent no time there besides to sleep. There was a small patch of mold near one of the beds. I would stay anywhere else if you can.

The facility is outdated without any USB ports in the rooms and the outlets worn.and old. You cannot stream on the facilities. TVs to watch shows that you would like from your device with limited channels available. Our room smelt of must and mold. We were on the bottom floor children on the second floor. The children did nothing but run and jump for the 2 days that we were there All hours of the morning, day and evening. I asked the staff if they could say something to the parents about the children's behavior and was told that the hotel depends on sports families and that they were afraid to say anything to get them upset.

Gnat infestation in our room reported 5 times checked in Wednesday and reported. Reported Thursday morning, Thursday evening, Friday morning, Friday evening and when complained then was moved to a different room and told they could not do anything with the gnats until we were out of the room. Should have moved us Thursday then. Ask for room to be cleaned was not cleaned had to request towels for our room. The communication from the staff or manager was non existent.

Room was not completely cleaned prior to our arrival; we found meal wrappers from the previous guests on the floor next to the bed. Staff made a good effort but there seemed to be some challenges. The room was very clean & bed was comfortable. One of the biggest complaints would be about the tv. They are connected through directTV & about every 5-10 minutes the whole stay, it would go out of signal for a couple of minutes. Trying to relax at the end of a long day & watch tv made that pretty irritating. There was also some sort of event going on and it was pretty loud even around 11pm. The staff was very friendly and quick to check in and out. If they can figure out a better way to connect cable to the tv it would’ve been a much higher rating.

The property itself was ok at best. Extremely noisy until 4am, it’s a hotel used by many area teams for local children’s tournaments. Room was outdated, bed wasn’t comfortable. Would not recommend staying here.

The room was great..my only complaint was there's no microwave in the room and it was not updated with the usb ports on the lamps or plug sockets. Overall everything was great...I will stsy there again. Especially since Perkin's restaurant is right across the street.

Bathroom is very small with pluming issues. Housekeeping never came to tidy up the room. We had to ask the front desk for towels. We were told to sit the dirty towels and trash outside door into the hallway. Kids running throughout the hotel making lots of noise and unsupervised in the exercise room.

Excellent!!! For check have an online option, we completed before arriving. Made check-in extremely easy & fast. A lot of work (and probably money) has gone into this location. Paint carpets etc. all new. Yet still had classic charm of long gone era. Room was very clean, with plenty of space. Furniture was all in nice condition. Bed very comfortable Heat worked well and was quiet. Would highly recommend this location Thanks Tim

The soft spoken young lady at check-in was not very inviting and seemed almost bothered by my presence. If she wants to work in Hospitality, I would suggest she be more hospitable. Speak up! Smile! Act like you appreciate your customers. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if passing through.

Great location, 5 minutes to downtown Harrisburg. There is a Brewery/restaurant just outside the parking lot, the Greatful Goat that had good drinks and good eats, along with a friendly staff. I highly recommend. Down the road on the river are a few bars/restaurants that look pretty fun as well. Overall the hotel is an older one but not old enough to be considered iconic. The staff was very friendly and the facilities seem to be in good shape. The room had like new carpeting and minimal wear and tear on the furniture. The only problem was the TV signal was fuzzy and the showerhead was insufficient. It needs to be replaced. Other than those two issues, I was satisfied with my stay.

My room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I found the staff to be inviting and kind. I was highly disappointed with the breakfast brunch. There's the gorgeous dining room with a terrible buffet. I was there on a Saturday morning and halfway through the breakfast service, I was the only person to come to eat. I paid $15 for a reheated eggs, homestyle potatoes and sausage patties. It's a horrible waste as what I didn't eat would likely be thrown out. Instead, have a $10 omelette and waffle station or a simple free continental option. If that's not feasible, just don't offer breakfast.

I have to say, Rachelle who checked us in, was amazing ! The restaurant was VERY good, food was excellent. Down at our end of the hotel, smelled so much of marijuana, it was overwhelming. but that's not the properties fault.

We couldn’t have had a better experience. Check-in was fast and efficient with excellent instructions on finding our rooms. We had a wonderful dinner at the hotel. The food and the service was outstanding. The next morning we had the delicious Sunday breakfast brunch and again delighted with terrific service.

Visited the Penn Harris for a dance competition which was also at the hotel. There are several other hotels VERY close by in a comparable price point. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, we didn’t notice any odors mentioned in other reviews. No continual breakfast (available at close by hotels) - breakfast buffet was $15 a person so we went to Perkins, which shares a parking lot. Probably would have stayed elsewhere but for the convenience of the reason for our stay.
