Great and modern hotel, rooms and facilities. They offer a variety of activities to do for free across the week. Staff were helpful and friendly. Greay variety of hot food, fruits and pastries alongside juices and coffee for breakfast. Breakfast and the bar are also on the rooftop whoch overlooks the city. Great location within walking distance of most things and a subway if you're exploring further out. Definitely recommend!

Great stay here, really comfortable beds. Would defo stay here again… only disappointment was size of the pool, more like large bath and there was no shower on the roof terrace (well there was one but if didn’t work), regardless we still loved it and would happily stay here again

Booked the hotel as it’s a great location also right on both the bus & hop on hop off buses. Receptionist was very accommodating & booking in was seamless. Room spacious & clean. Shame there was no fridge as apparently it was a premium room. Breakfast was ok. Didn’t use the restaurant as ate out on our stay. Beware if booking because of pool facilities. It’s very very small. More a plunge pool than a swimming pool. So a little disappointing. Overall a pleasant stay.

The room and hotel were modern and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of cava at the reception, which was a lovely touch in the room as well. The rooftop space is an excellent spot to enjoy a drink or snack while taking in the Barna landscape, and it can also be a perfect place to work for a few hours. Great place and location! And their restaurant downstairs is superb!

Clean room, close to the arc triomf where you can easily catch the metro or bus to take you somewhere more far. The city center is in walkable distance. The rooftop is nice to relax, even has a pool (sadly didn‘t had the chance to test it myself). In the morning the breakfast is served in the room close to the rooftop, in the afternoon could also just make a siesta here, I used the time before my flight to soak up some sun on the rooftop and then to charge my phone inside before heading to the airport which really was a relaxing way to spend the last hours.

We stayed as a group at the Hotel Rec and had a great time! The rooms were as expected, very nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the roof top lounge and bar. The nightly events were great, we did a beer tasting with good information on the local beer. Had a great time!

Excellent hotel in a great location walkable distance to most iconic places, metro station and local transportation are close. Friendly staff, breakfast was okay, the rooftop pool and bar just perfecf to cool down after a busy day. I highly recommended.

Liked the idea of the roof top pool, but it’s tiny and no idea where you would change unless change in your room then get the lift to the bar and walk though to get to the pool, then the reverse when you get out, when wet?? Do we didn’t use it in the end!

Positiv: Zentral gelegen, Restaurants, Supermärkte in naher Umgebung, man kann zu Fuß sämtliche Sightseeings gut erreichen, Zimmerausstattung spärlich, jedoch alles da, was man für Kurzaufenthalt braucht, Bett/Matratzen sehr gut, sehr ruhig auch in der Nacht, Personal freundlich Negativ: schmutzig; Zimmer war schon bei Ankunft nicht sauber, Staub auf den Ablagen, Böden staubig, am WC lag ein kleines Teil nasses Klopapier am Boden (vom Vorgänger?), blieb auch den gesamten Aufenthalt dort, das heißt, es wurde nie gesaugt oder gewischt Auch der Boden bei der Rezeption war immer schmutzig

Pro: The location was very convenient which was close to Metro and Buses. The room was overside and clean. Staff were friendly. Con: It was a little noisy due to the signed room was on the first floor. it could be better if it was higher up.

This is an ideal property for couples. However for two guys the room was not practical at all. Firstly they gave a King size bed and then the bathrooms had transparent glass overlooking the bed. The door was transparent as well. The sink did not have a back splash and it was right next to the bed!! The hotel is in a very walkable and commutable place bang across the Arc di Triomphe. You can walk to the Ramblas within 15 min. Dotted with excellent restaurants. The rooftop bar was amazing and the views at night were worth it!! The staff were polite. To cover the bathroom door we used a bedsheet.

Really lovely hotel. Nice spacious room that was well cleaned everyday. Staff were friendly. Good area to get to main attractions in barcelona - located in the old city. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because me and my husband found the bed really uncomfortable so didn't sleep well.

Location is great, bus and metro very close which can get you to the beach or anywhere else in Barcelona. Room was spacious, shower was big and beds were comfy. Only issue I had with the room is : 1 there is nowhere to put your clothes. There was a very tiny wardrobe to hang 3 dresses and one small shelf for some extra clothes but everything else we left either in the suitcase or on the one table that was available. 2 the room is in tiles so you will need slippers to walk around unless you don't mind it. The room has aircon. Shower and toilet are separated. Breakfast was ok ISH. Nothing special but it is fine for what it is. The Pool area is very small altho very lovely to enjoy the breakfast, for swimming or sunbathing is to small. Staff are super nice and helpful and attentive.

All of the staff were lovely and welcoming. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was delicious and perfect to look out on the rooftop view. We received great service from Manuel. He was amazing, friendly and really sweet advising us on how to use the transport to get to different destinations. We also talked to Peter when we checked out who was lovely and kind. I would recommend others to stay here and can’t wait to return in the future :)

REC was nice. Convenient to transportation and food. 7th floor terrace was nice. Barcelona was fantastic. However, we arrived from airport around 10am and had to practically beg for room which was finally ready at 3pm. This was after days early notice asking for any early room. Front desk staff acted like they were doing us a favor finally giving us a room which we only got after we went to front desk every hour or so. Are you telling me not one room was available before 3? Next time, another place.

The 24/7 Reception staff were all very friendly and incredibly helpful in ensuring that all the places we wanted to see during our stay were available ,booking tickets and directions easy to follow. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Barcelona .

Excellent hotel in downtown Barcelona. Very friendly staff, who are always happy to help. Upon arrival, I was greeted with vouchers for two free drinks at the bar. Rooms are clean, spacious and very modern. The breakfast is super tasty and offers a large variety of options. The breakfast room is on the top 7th floor, which also allows a fantastic view of the Barcelona skyline. There is also a pool on the terrace of the 7th floor. The hotel is located very conveniently in the heart of the city. I never used a cab or public transport, but walked from the hotel to all sites that I wanted to see (Sagrada Família, Barcelona History Museum, the old gothic cathedral, Casa Amatller, Montjuïc Castle, the beach, etc.). Overall - should I visit Barcelona in the future - I will be happy to stay at this hotel again.
