Just finished a 5 night stay at The Library and a very relaxing stay. Beautiful setting and the private pool in the villa made for a superb holiday. Breakfast is very good, staff are friendly and it was quite quiet in the whole of Koh Samui with some tourists starting to come back. Only minor constructive feedback is they need to invest in some repair and maintenance around the property and showing signs of wear and tear, this not real luxury but sure just Covid struggles. Would definitively recommend for anyone to visit

Excellent hotel, in the heart of chweng beach road, but you wouldnt know it once you were inside. Stayed in a hidden pool villa, which was amazing. Restaurant/Bar very good. Small beach and two pools which were also excellent.

4th time staying here so that gives an indication of what I think. Rooms are large and clean and going undergoing some minor refitting. Staff are incredible, very friendly and helpful and even remembered things from my last stay. Beach is amazing too. Great for couples. Not so much for families. Can’t recommend more!

Also für ein Hotel das ein Designer Hotel ist - fand ich es nicht wirklich schön und gewisse teile des Hotels waren abgesperrt - die Ausstattung war auch schon etwas älter das hat man gesehen. Fanden das Preis Leistung Verhältnis leider nicht gut. Es war ok..

Pretty red pool. Great food and drinks. The surrounding areas are a bit tired and dirty. Rooms are a clean with a fresh style. Worth a stay if you want something a little less Thai like. This is more European vibe.

This hotel is like staying in a modern art museum. All the spaces are extremely beautiful and the 2 red pools are stunning. The room is super modern all controlled by remote control and it was always super clean. The hotel staff was very helpful all the time. I really loved my stay here, you can really enjoy a peaceful stay in the middle of a busy street if that’s what you’re after, but also you can find anything you wish if you walk around in the beach or the street.

풀빌라로 했는데... 수영장에서 바퀴벌레가.. 샤라락 지나가는걸 봐서(첫날에.) 한 번도 들어가지 않았습니다. 그리고 화장실에 날벌레가 엄청 많더라구요 ㅠㅠ 모던한 느낌의 인테리어와 서비스는 너무 좋았지만 청결에 신경을 써줬으면 좋겠습니다.. 그리고 수건이 야박해요.. 수건을 처음에 많이 넣어주면 좋겠습니다. 바로 앞에 바다가 있는 건 너무 좋았습니다. 조식도 훌륭했구요.

Das war unsere 3 Station von Thailand. Wir wollten nicht weg. Als wir abgereist sind in den Norden von ko samui,… wir kamen jeden Tag nach Chaweng zurück. Natürlich ist es Geschmacksache aber vom Strand bis hin zur Lage, stimmte hier einfach für uns persönlich alles. Wenn wir wieder nach Thailand reisen, dann zu 100% the Library. Die Villen selbst waren makellos sauber und bestens ausgestattet – es fehlte uns an nichts.. Unser Fazit: Von der Lage über die Unterkunft bis hin zur Herzlichkeit des Teams – für uns war es eine glatte 10 von 10.

Whilst the library hotel presents itself to the visitors as a minimalist themed location I must be honest. The hotel is in need of a facelift it’s shabby. My room was clean but stained curtains and textiles. One toilet broken just not what it says. I paid £8760 for my stay very expensive. I asked a prospective doctorate student to have dinner to discuss her proposed research topic. The reception staff would not let her into the hotel unless I paid 3000 baht. She was insulted as was I. They took her to be a prostitute. The decking on the main walkway to the rooms is in a bad state of repair and dangerous. Never again I have always seen Expedia as a good company but after this I don’t think so would use them again. Bad show all round!

I stayed at the library and firstly I have to say all the staff were attentive and very friendly and helpful. The room was large and I liked that the hotel had a sense of calm in a busy area The beach wonderful and in July was perfect for swimming Breakfast was excellent and good choices off the A L Carte menu If you are going to chaweng in Samui this is a good choice if solo or couple

Really cool theme! I absolutely loved my stay here. I splurged and got one of the secret chapter rooms and it was totally worth it. Comfortable with tons of space. Thematic all the way through. Really nice pools and immediate access to a beautiful and immaculate beach. Staff went all out with service, providing snacks and showcasing that typical Thai-friendliness with all smiles. They made sure my shuttles arrived for my day trips and even provided a to-go breakfast when I checked out super early to leave for the airport. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

I want to write e fair review. Pros : Great location, friendly and helpful staff, very clean and neat rooms, everything looks handpicked and well designed at this hotel, 26 rooms so very quiet and peaceful, nice private beach and pool Cons : 1. The restaurant is overpriced 2. The way that they approach a problem is not very customer friendly, we had a water leakage in our first room and they offered us a free dinner ( a special menu not what u want ) and they gave us a room which was smaller and older. In the second room the hairdryer went on fire in my hand! And all they did was an apology. I think the management team has set limits for the crew so they cant do much

Hotel rooms are called Pages and Chapters. Outstanding staff. They were excellent, can not say enough about how they went, what I thought was well above and beyond my expectations. I loved the red and green ceramic pool tiles after having a blue pool for 15 years. Pool staff was excellent. The entire staff were excellent. The female manager Kob took the time to track me down and ensure my stay was going well which is the kind of service this place gives. Would stay here again but would try to get the Editor or Writers rooms.

Whilst the library hotel presents itself to the visitors as a minimalist themed location I must be honest. The hotel is in need of a facelift it’s shabby. My room was clean but stained curtains and textiles. One toilet broken just not what it says. I paid £8760 for my stay very expensive. I asked a prospective doctorate student to have dinner to discuss her proposed research topic. The reception staff would not let her into the hotel unless I paid 3000 baht. She was insulted as was I. They took her to be a prostitute. The decking on the main walkway to the rooms is in a bad state of repair and dangerous. Never again I have always seen Expedia as a good company but after this I don’t think so would use them again. Bad show all round!

Pros : Great location, friendly and helpful staff, very clean and neat rooms, everything looks handpicked and well designed at this hotel, 26 rooms so very quiet and peaceful, nice private beach and pool Cons : 1. The restaurant is overpriced 2. The way that they approach a problem is not very customer friendly, we had a water leakage in our first room and they offered us a free dinner ( a special menu not what u want ) and they gave us a room which was smaller and older. In the second room the hairdryer went on fire in my hand! And all they did was an apology. I think the management team has set limits for the crew so they cant do much

In general this hotel is very nice. I like its concept of a library. Design is brilliant. Old trees contribute to the overall atmosphere of quietness and wisdom. But ocean at East coast is very wavy. What an experience from the moment you walked through the secret door into the large villa with its 3.5metre bed and large bathroom and lounge area along with its own pool. What was fantastic about the library though was being able to relax via the pool on Cheweng Beach. A quiet oasis amongst the hustle of the islands busiest area. Breakfast and food were also excellent. Friendly staff and GR dat cocktail hour! Highly recommend a stay at The Library when in Koh Samui.

The first time I stayed here was with my fiancé and it had been one of the most special trips we ever shared. Sadly, he has since passed away, and coming back to a place full of these memories was both difficult and comforting. What made this stay truly special was the warmth of the team. The manager even recognized me again, which genuinely touched me and made me feel very welcome. The hotel itself is still exceptional. The rooms are perfectly maintained—clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. The peaceful atmosphere by the pool and the pristine beach create the perfect place to relax without any pressure. Breakfast remains a highlight, with a fantastic à la carte selection and excellent quality. Coming back here helped me reconnect with meaningful memories and find a sense of peace.
