Mitsui Garden Hotel Otemachi - Tokyo

Mitsui Garden Hotels in general are very poor on elevators. Considering the number of rooms and floors, there are less elevators so waiting time is long.

A bit away 10-15 minutes walk from the Tokyo train station, but reachable via taxi 5 minutes. The hotel room is small but comfortable and extremely quiet. The staff is helpful and accommodating. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but only open until 11am. Otherwise not much dining options nearby, best may be Tokyo station lots of restaurants and shops there.

A wonderful experience at this hotel. Would recommend Only one washing machine but they offer a laundry service. Terrific breakfast !

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff. It is conveniently located in Otemachi for business meetings as well as for tourists to to go to ilthe Imperial Palace, city centre or catch metro. Good facilities in terms of launderette, wending machines, tea and coffee with snacks and a wide selection of complimentary toiletries. The only negative is that there is no gym, but then again, bring your trainers and go for a run around the palace.

Overall the hotel was great. Nice reasonably priced buffet for breakfast, free coffee tea and snacks in the afternoon, close to the train station, a nice quiet walkable neighbourhood.

Location is inconvenient. No drive way in front of the hotel. Hotel staff are not friendly. The price is expensive for the quality. I will not recommend.

Staff is excellent. We came in wet since it was raining & staff provided us hand towels to dry off immediately. Able to borrow umbrella for our day trips around town. Short walk to two train stations: Ōtemachi & Kanda. A little longer walk to Imperial Palace East Gardens. Dining is only available for breakfast; wish it is open more hours since food is also excellent. Hotel is perfect if you want a quiet place to stay in for the night. Even more, with the soundproofing, you don’t hear the construction or traffic outside. Since it is in the business district, several food places are closed on Sat/Sun unless you go to Kanda Station. On Sunday, we were looking for dinner places at 6 pm within 0.3 miles but most are izakayas or costs are upwards of 10000 yen. Overall, I would stay here again & highly recommend this place.

All hotel staff are unfailingly polite and professional, plus spoke decent english. Messaging them ahead of time though, requires you to be proactive as they are busy. In the Queen Comfort Room, as a solo guest, I had good space but two people will be tighter so you have to move stuff around. I prefer not to keep my suitcases on the floor of my hotel rooms so to do this, I had the folding luggage rack and the ottoman/footrest of the sitting chair as an elevated space for my large check-in bag. I used the fridge cabinet to hold up my smaller suitcase and leaned the top half of that suitcase against the wall. Using 2 of the three stools (two of which double as a mini nightstand) in the room to hold up more luggage would have also been an option too. This is because the desk is tiny. It's a triangle attached to the fridge and the wall that has a small bose speaker, the phone, and a small valet. The bose speaker and valet immediate got moved to the TV shelf (no stand) so that I could use that space for my daypack and shopping. Couldn't get the window open. Didn't use the shallow closet. Would have traded it for more desk space. The room is clean but I did find a long hair as well as maybe an old stain on the shower curtain but not a huge problem. The bathroom needs one more towel rack/grab handle. The hotel is close to several trains (avoid Kanda Station with its confusing exits), walkable to Tokyo Sta. and has a small restaurant. Quiet area. Would stay at again.

This hotel was conveniently located within a short walking distance to a few subway stops (Kanda and Otemachi both about 5-7 minutes walk, and Tokyo station about a 10 minute walk). Check-in was easy, they do offer express in/out option at a screen also. The staff spoke English well. There is an amenities station by the elevators and you need to ask reception for a skincare set if you want. Good selection of items available! The room was on the smaller size as expected based on the description so was not concerned. Only one size of pyjamas provided (bottom fit like a Canadian size 6 but the top was like a size 12). Housekeeping did a great job each day. Pillows and mattress were comfortable! Did not try the breakfast, viewed and was not to our liking (small sandwiches, eggs, hot dogs, salads, etc). Overall a great hotel and would stay again!

The bathroom smells really bad. The whole time we stayed there the bathroom smell3d like mold and sewer.

Clean room

I couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay for my first visit to Japan. Everything, from hospitality to the decor was impeccable. The rooms are small however I’m aware that’s common in Japan. Everyday when we walked in or out, the staff greeted us with such warmth. I used their coin laundry services which were very convenient to use. Housekeeping cleaned our room everyday so it was so relaxing to be back after a tiring day exploring Tokyo. 10/10 would recommend this hotel. It’s literally 280m (barely 30 ish steps away from a train station) so great location and was surprising quite. Try booking a couple months in advance to get a better price for this amazing hotel!

Best service ever received among the hotels I have ever stayed. Staff are the most friendly at international level. Rooms and other common areas are very clean. Can’t wait to come back again.

The room was very spacious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Close to the station. Very clean inside and out and we couldn't have had a better time. Thank you so much. Would recommend this hotel.

The toilet smell every time I flushed. The bathroom floor is floating.

Well decorated and attentive staff, close to everything both Kanda and Otemachi. Staff was helpful and organized. Limited amenities in the rooms but nice too have access to coin laundry. Solid 3 stars, would be 4 except there was some issue with the plumbing which made a sewer smell when you flush the toilet, and you can't open the window in the room. Bad combo.

Bedsheets not clean

The staff were highly qualified and friendly, the rooms were clean, and the air conditioning was at a comfortable temperature. The only drawback was that the bathroom exhaust fan could not be turned off separately, and the low-frequency noise was a bit bothersome.

The rooms were a little too small. The towels were small and by default they would only leave two towels and we needed at least three, so we had to ask for more. Overall the experience was pleasant though. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the windows had noise canceling glass. The staff spoke limited English that was a little surprising but with google translate we were able to communicate.

My only complaint was A/C only goes down to 20 degrees Celsius which was too warm for my sleep. All other Japan hotels went to 17 or 18 degrees. Other than that, we loved the property and the prices were very reasonable

Smaller than expected with no drawers or storage

Hotel was great, staff excellent. Great location. But bed was terrible and bathroom lighting way too dark.

Clean, updated and great location. Quiet room that was overheated, even when I shut off the heat and windows that don’t open. Few electrical outlets despite the modern appearance. Comfortable bed and modern bath but no drawer storage for clothes though there were hangers to hang clothes.

Hotel was clean and easily accesible with public transit. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Notably, Yunita at the front desk was excellent. She was extremely friendly and helpful each time we encountered her

Check in was good and the front desk clerk tried but sometimes she had difficulty understanding some things. English is a little limited. Some clerks understand English better than others. But overall we had a good experience at this hotel.

We really enjoyed staying here. The staff were so helpful and welcoming - getting us a taxi on a rainy day and booking one to the airport for us. The room was very comfortable with a Bluetooth Bose speaker which we loved having and it was so quiet. You can book a massage in your room- which we did not end up doing. The breakfast was excellent. It’s the perfect place to stay as a hub to visit all neighborhoods with easy access to the metro and Tokyo Station and taxis as well as walking distance from the Imperial Palace and Akihabara, Ginza, and Nihonbashi neighborhoods. It is in a business district so we would recommend planning for nightlife and dinners in other neighborhoods.

Convenient location

Liked this property a lot. It was a 3 minute walk to the subway, 8 min walk to Kanda station which we used primarily to get around, and 11 minutes walk to Tokyo Station. Plenty of food options in very short distance and a 7-11 across the street.

The rooms were ample and location was excellent. Access to the metro system was within a few short minutes walk. 7/11 right around the corner. The staff was very helpful and kind. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Das Hotel ist Finanzzentrum Tokios, weshalb nicht so viele Touristen in der direkten Umgebung sind. Es gibt zwei Haltestellen, die etwa gleich weit entfernt sind und von unterschiedlichen Linien befahren werden. Also gab es eine gute Auswahl an Verbindungen. Frühstück war ok. Die Auswahl ist nicht besonders groß, aber täglich wechselnd. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

決して広い部屋ではないものの必要なものが全て揃っていてかなり快適でした。目の前が首都高の高架なので騒音が心配されましたが、二重窓のおかげで全く問題ありませんでした。何より大手町駅、神田駅へのアクセスが抜群で、地下鉄もJRもノーストレスで利用できて大変良かったです。

Welcoming staff, located in the business district close to Tokyo station & Otemachi metro

Great breakfast every morning, friendly staff, nice neighborhood.

The hotel was satisfactory. The main issue was that I was on a floor with a smoking area and the room smelled like stale smoke. The breakfast was mediocre compared to other places I stayed in Tokyo for the same price.

The hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance from Tokyo station and the Imperial Palace and gardens. The metro is just steps away. The room itself was average but had everything a guest might need. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast was terrible. In all my years of traveling and staying in various category hotels, I have never experienced such a bad breakfast.

Un hotel muy correcto para quedarse en Tokyo. La única pega es que no tiene un lobby en el que se pueda estar confortablemente, y el desayuno, aunque correcto, podría ser mejor si tuviera fruta y la selección de comida salada fuera de más calidad.
