Just stayed for 1 night and it did the job! Was confusing to check in as there isn't a check-in desk? We checked in at the liquor store. Bathroom wasn't the newest/cleanest but the beds and room were!

The POSITIVE points: Reasonable price for a basic room. OK linens, aircon and kettle and few packets of coffee, tea and milk. Restaurant and bottle shop next door. The staff at the bottle shop / check in is friendly. Good location, quiet, easy to find and has a very large carpark. A short drive to the beaches and shopping centre. The NEGATIVE points: The room is a bit small, but has an outdoor sitting area at the back of the room. The toilet, shower and vanity are outdated, mouldy, paint peeling and flaky, odours linger, the dark carpet feels dirty, and doors are tight and needs to be pushed hard. The booking site indicates daily housekeeping but there was none despite our request for housekeeping on day 2. So I had to ask for replacement towels when we got back. Towels have a smell of kitchen and body odour. Maybe for this price, I'd be unreasonable to expect a pristine place but they should be honest in their ad that daily housekeeping isn't included and they should wash, dry and deodoriser their towels better.

The room was comfortable enough but despite the information stating that there was WiFi in all rooms, it was broken & switched off. Also the info said there was a restaurant but it was closed for rebuilding. It was not stated that the place was being rebuilt and the builders woke me earlier than I would have liked. When I took the staff to task, they blamed it on Wotif, saying they had emailed to advise. The hotel emailed me a confirmation and failed to warn of these reductions in their service so I didn't accept their feeble excuse. I have been asked to advise a friend of a suitable place to stay in this area, so needless to say I did not recommend here!

It was very easy to book accommodation, find it and park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine. To my surprise the room was quiet. Free parking close to the room. Departure was very simple - just leave the key inside and close the door.

Affordabla Basic standard room hotel at the moment, as upgrading is on it's way. Friendly staff easy check in/out, the restaurant next to it was fabulous the only big problem only the car park for hotel guests which we had to parking our car away from our room, because of restaurant customers take the hotel guest carpark. they should marking few spots for guests only park their cars. The rest is good would be back and stay again

Parking wasn’t easy as the people who play sport across the road were using all the spots. I had to take my car and park overnight somewhere else. Would have preferred to leave it at the pub but too busy. Staff all nice and helpful

Reasonable price for a basic room. OK linens and towels, aircon and kettle and few packets of coffee, tea and milk. Restaurant and bottle shop next door. The staff at the bottle shop / check in is friendly. Good location, quiet, easy to find and has a very large carpark. A short drive to the beaches and shopping centre. The room is a bit small, the outdoor sitting area at the back of the room is blocked off by construction fencing, and the front area too is blocked off. The furniture and the toilet/ bathroom are outdated, odours linger, the dark carpet feels dirty, and the fridge is rusty, its door is banged up and the freezer is so thickly frosted up. The housekeepers didn’t turn up for day 2 so I had to ask for replacement towels when we got back. I requested for housekeeping for day 3 but they missed tidying up the bed. However, for this price, I'd be unreasonable to expect a pristine place. I hope the ongoing renovations work well to improve the property when I come to the area again next summer.

Mostly great. Only five rooms. Great price. Easy parking. Totally quiet. I bought dinner in the hotel. No toaster or microwave. A jug was available. The shower was hitsbathroom floor and shower cubicle needed a good scrub. There was black mould on the bottom of the white shower curtain and on tile grout.

Spacious room with ensuite. Good size fridge. Nice small outdoor area. The bar/hotel next door was convenient for a drink and/or dinner. Easy parking right outside our door. Could do with a good clean, especially the bathroom.

Room very dusty, my 10yo son ended up in the ER for an acute onset of asthma. Also quite noisy at nigth with people talking (and cursing) loudly on the picnic table next to the room. Location good. Convenient to have the restaurant next door.

It's a low-cost room to be fair but wasn't clean there was mould on the shower curtain and the mattress for the bed was sagged, unsupportive and smelled like a mixture of body odour and musty dust. I've been in backpacker hostels that were cleaner and more comfortable. I left and drove 2 hours home to sleep at my own home after the second time I Iaid on the bed.

This is the perfect stop over travelling to the north coast I booked this place last minute. For the price it's actually not bad. There's comfy clean beds, toilet and shower private in your room. A bar fridge, kettle, coffee and tea. Remember bring yoir own shampoo hair products etc. There is no microwave, plates or hairdryer. Again for the price it was good for.a.one night stop over. I have paid hundreds of dollers a night and never had a microwave or plates in a room. Just to point that out. Plenty of towels and soap though. Thanks Bateau Bay Hotel

The hotel (pub) side of the business was fine. The room (room 3) was very much in need of a refurbishment. Power points were lacking (all in one power board, two were used and one was broken) there were none by the bed which caused a problem. This problem was solved by the property lending me an extension cord. Interestingly, as we checked out this morning - there was a team of people waiting to enter the bedrooms to "spray" them with something / against something.

Great place to meet up with young family on the Central Coast as kids were very well catered for with a well-done kid friendly area and a grass hill to roll down on. The food at the pub was good. The room was fine for the price and our overnight stay. The bed was super comfortable and the noise from the pub could not be heard. The cobwebs lent some authenticity :) Loved the water pressure in the shower. I

Nice budget lodging. Room was fairly spacious, and bed was comfortable. Road noise was a problem, so bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

It was an older place but clean and beds where nice .only thing the door was hard to get key in and out no complaints here .we would stay again .easy check in .we asked to get checked in two hours before check in as we had a function .so very helpful and accommodating.very much appreciated .

It was very easy to book accommodation, find it and park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was fine. To my surprise the room was quiet. Free parking close to the room. Departure was very simple - just leave the key inside and close the door.

The POSITIVE points: Reasonable price for a basic room. OK linens, aircon and kettle and few packets of coffee, tea and milk. Restaurant and bottle shop next door. The staff at the bottle shop / check in is friendly. Good location, quiet, easy to find and has a very large carpark. A short drive to the beaches and shopping centre. The NEGATIVE points: The room is a bit small, but has an outdoor sitting area at the back of the room. The toilet, shower and vanity are outdated, mouldy, paint peeling and flaky, odours linger, the dark carpet feels dirty, and doors are tight and needs to be pushed hard. The booking site indicates daily housekeeping but there was none despite our request for housekeeping on day 2. So I had to ask for replacement towels when we got back. We had dinner at the hotel, we ordered the seafood plater for two and all of it was COLD even the chips. The service heat lamps were not on or not working. Hopefully next time it will be better.

The room was comfortable enough but despite the information stating that there was WiFi in all rooms, it was broken & switched off. Also the info said there was a restaurant but it was closed for rebuilding. It was not stated that the place was being rebuilt and the builders woke me earlier than I would have liked. When I took the staff to task, they blamed it on Wotif, saying they had emailed to advise. The hotel emailed me a confirmation and failed to warn of these reductions in their service so I didn't accept their feeble excuse. I have been asked to advise a friend of a suitable place to stay in this area, so needless to say I did not recommend here!

Great place to meet up with young family on the Central Coast as kids were very well catered for with a well-done kid friendly area and a grass hill to roll down on. The food at the pub was good. The room was fine for the price and our overnight stay. The bed was super comfortable and the noise from the pub could not be heard. The cobwebs lent some authenticity :) Loved the water pressure in the shower. I

The trip was for a 30yr reunion in the area. The Hotel services were amazing, bistro, bar and drive thru cellar. The room is typical pub stay but it was clean and tidy. The bed was comfy, shower fine. Great for a few nights.
