We love this hotel and stay here whenever we are in Tokyo. The Gotanda station is just a couple blocks away. We use the Ikegami line to go to my aunt’s house and the JR line to meet friends/cousins for shopping and dining. There’s a convenient store and a great Italian restaurant on the firs floor, and a 7-11 just down the street. There are lots of dining and shopping nearby. The restaurant on the first floor serves an awesome buffet breakfast. The Japanese style spa/bath on the top floor is awesome but make sure you know all the rules before you go in. The coin laundry is ok. It’s a washer/dryer combo and it did not dry well. The 15th floor lobby has an awesome balcony/sitting area. I love getting a cup of coffee and doing my quiet time here every morning. We love this place!

When travelling to Tokyo I always stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel in Gotanda. Its convenient to most everywhere that I need to go to. The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable. I enjoy the rooftop bath. An all around great place to stay in Tokyo.

Gorgeous views from the lobby terrace and the onsen was such a special addition to my trip. I found the room spacious and beds very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and come back. The metro access is so easy.

good location and super clean. the lobby is on the 15th floor with nice view and complimentary coffee and welcome drinks. the spa (public bath) on the 16th floor has both indoor and outdoor tub. if you go outdoor, you can see stars on the sky at night. it was a rainy day, so very nice cold breeze and perfect day for outdoor bath. my room was on the 15th floor, it has a great city view. best quality for the price.

This hotel was okay, not the best or worst I’ve been in. The bathrooms are very dated and are in desperate need up upkeep. Our shower curtain (yes, a shower curtain in a “luxury” hotel) was stained and dirty, the caulking around the sink was cracked and in need of replacing, and the towels are extremely thin and they only provide one per person (and one hand towel). If you want amenities they are on the 15th floor in the lobby, and while I recognize the hotel is attempting to be eco-friendly, it seems more like they’re just trying to discourage you from using them. The housekeeping staff are excellent and do their best to keep the rooms clean and refreshed every day. The location of the hotel is decent, right next to Gotanda station and it has a Lawson attached which is very convenient. There’s also a 711 within close proximity and a grocery store less than a 5 minute walk. The rooms are small which is par for the course in Japan, but the beds are extremely firm and the pillows provided are flat and thin. Overall I feel there are better hotels in this price range, especially when you consider they boast about their lobby and private bath, and not the accommodations.

I’ve never stayed around Gotanda, so I wanted to try. There are not many shopping options compared with Ikebukuro. There is a big supermarket, which was good. The breakfast was okay, with not many options. The room was nice, but there was a smell coming from the drain in the bathroom, so I had to cover it with a plastic bag. I liked the public bath, but overall, it’s kind of a boring area.

Everything about the property was great, except for the size. Even in the superior room, the room was quite small for two adults, the pictures didn't make it seem that small. Aside from that, it was close to the train station, great area to get anywhere you needed to and the staff were very nice.

清潔な部屋でした。受付スタッフの女性はとても感じが良く丁寧にご対応いたました。手書きのメッセージで寒い中到着した事を労ってくださりありがとうございました！ただ一つ、部屋の照明が一括コントロールになっていて個別に電気を点ける事が出来ませんでした。ベッドサイドや浴室、入り口など分けて点灯出来ると嬉しかったです。

My friend and I shared a twin room, which had plenty of space for 2 check-in size luggage and 2 carry-ons. Staff were really helpful to inform us about luggage delivery services to the airport. Housekeeping is optional according to the magnets you can stick outside your door. My friend got her period overnight and they changed all her bedding and provided new roomwear as well. The elevators can be slow at times but overall a very comfortable stay :)

Amazing staff and wonderful hotel! I cannot say enough about all the help we received from the staff. We had a bicycle in a large box to deal with, luggage and a box to ship to different locations, and other logistical problems which they managed in a friendly and efficient manner. The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. There is an onsen on the top floor. The location is a short walk to the Gotanda train station on the JR Yamanote line, so convenient to get everywhere in Tokyo. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast buffet has both western and Japanese food available. We look forward to returning before we fly home. Highly recommended!

( ) conveniently located within short walk to Gotanda train station with shopping and restaurants nearby. Hotel is clean, room for 3 pax is spacious enough. (-) Not quite a 4-star hotel. Reception is at level 15 and guests need to collect toiletries on their own. One of the staff at the reception was rather rude by Japanese standard. On the whole, I will not stay here when I visit Tokyo again.

We asked to check in a noon. They told us that the room was ready, but they would charge Y4,300 if we checked in early. The lobby and reception are nice, but rooms disappointing. The staff members are not interested in offering service, they are either looking down at their computer or engaged in communication with other staff members. They did not know how to get to the airport and speculated when we asked if they could find out. The hotel has a nice roof-top terrace, but they ask people to leave in the evening.

Brilliant location 5 minutes walk from Gotanda station on the Yamanote line means it was easy to get around. Surprisingly quiet given its location. Countless restaurants within walking distance but we were never troubled by noise. Great little bakery right outside the hotel for breakfast.

Loved the location of the hotel with it only being a few minutes walk to the Gotanda station on the Yamanote line which makes access to other parts of Tokyo very easy and convenient. There are a ton of eating options nearby and several convenience stores as well. The highlight was a cafe right next to the hotel called "Saison Baker & Coffee" and I highly recommend it as a breakfast option. The great thing about it is that it opens at 7am, which you'll realize in Tokyo, a lot of other cafe's don't open till 9am or later. The hotel itself is really nice. Like most Japanese hotels, the service is immaculate. I found the hotel room to be pretty much as described on Expedia. It was very clean. Maybe my only complaint is that the elevators can sometimes take a little bit longer to get to your floor.

I loved how convenient the location was near a Lawson's, food options, train station. Breakfast was good. I only wish the women's Onsen had a better view, but otherwise I loved it. Very clean.
