Plenty of parking next to the highway，staffs are helpful and friendly. Room is clean and new, size is reasonable. Wall plug is underneath table and is not convenience to connect computer and charging phone.Gym and pool provided. Breakfast is included but is very basic. Overall is good but relatively expensive.

Overall nice hotel but pool was shut down for our stay which was very disappointing and front desk staff said they did not have a single extra blanket in the hotel when we requested one, which seems bizarre.

This hotel was very clean. Everything smelled fresh. The swimming pool is smaller but worked great and the water slide was fun. They had a great little gym that had bike, treadmill, elliptical, strider, free weights, and multi smith machine. They had a great breakfast in the morning. There is two service stations with convenience store and Tim Horton’s in the very immediate area. You are close to Ladysmith for a few restaurants and for a lovely park with beach access. It was a great stay.

Staff was friendly but, breakfast options were removed (for example the waffle station was taken away, staff seemed suprised.) Bed was not the size paid for (queen was booked, double was provided) body soap was empty. Pool was closed (reason for our family and friends booking this location)

Great quite place with a pool and waterslide

Good stay. Pool was fun but the hot tub went out of service. Waterslide is fast! Staff are friendly and let us check in an hour early. Overall a good stay.

It’s a nice place to stop over during our island trip. It was our third time stay there because we enjoy the outdoor kitchen and eating area since not much restaurant near by. Will be back again

Rooms were very clean and spacious

Nice location, friendly front desk staff. Worst housekeeping ever. For a 3 night stay, I had the facecloth changed once (no towels changed), the bed was never made up, the coffee center paper cups and coffee pods never replaced/refilled. The only housekeeping done consist was to empty the garbage. That’s it! I guess this is what represents the “light housekeeping “ they describe as the daily cleaning done in rooms. Will not stay here again. And, yes, I did have ask the front desk each day for more coffe and cups, which they happily gave me.

The room was nice. The only problem was the bathtub was dirty. The pool and hotel were very clean and updated. The breakfast was awful. Only had limp turkey bacon for breakfast. Most people were commenting on how bad it was.

Clean and quiet considering how close we were to the highway.

we booked 2 rooms and out of the 4 beds, 3 come with dirty bed sheets with hair and food crumbs. We were only able to get the bottom bed sheets changed and the staff wont change the top layer sheets that cover the duvet/blanket. We had to sleep with our cloth on without blankets. The swimming pool was also closed for some reason. Our rooms were facing the highway so traffic noise were very noticeble. on the plus side, breakfast was quite good with a good selection of hot food and fruits/yogurt and etc. we will avoid this hotel in the future

Overall excellent accommodation, room are clean, well organized all items are well maintained, I would definitely return and recommend it.

You can smell the sweat through the pillowcases

My room was good but washroom smelled as if it wasn’t brushed and cleaned after the last occupancy. The bathroom tub was little black, just horrible horrible smell!! Also, the last time I stayed at this hotel, the staff were soo accommodating. This time I asked for a plate and cutlery, they do have crockery plates available but she made a weird face both times I asked her. Like, stop counting pennies, it’s not like I’m a child who would break it or won’t wash it. She gave me a tiny snack paper plate which was honestly disrespectful. Horrible staff!!

Room was very clean beds comfortable and room quiet for being right beside highway. Lots of convenient stores close. And staff were very helpful and friendly

A new well appointed Hotel, friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast. Close to the highway so a little noisy . Only drawback was that there are on restaurants within walking distance.

Good value. Comfy beds, good AC. Excellent included breakfast with lots of choices. The only issue was really squeaky, creaky floors. Stay on top floor or you'll hear the people above. We heard the people beside us!

It was a nice hotel - unfortunately our room was close to the pool entrance so it was very loud as people came and went from the pool/fitness area. At night is when it was the biggest problem.

Modern and clean, with an ok breakfast. The rooms are bare bones minimal. No usb ports and the only plug in was in the bathroom. It's a wood frame building so it's not really quiet. You definitely know that other people are staying here. Location compared to price...I would not stay here again.

Located close to Ladysmith just off hwy 1. We were assigned a room on the first floor, close to the pool and fitness center and it was quite noisy from traffic in the hall.

This hotel was fine, with a small but comfortable room. The buffet breakfast was basic, with limited and poor quality protein options.

Nice hotel and room. But very close of highspeed road

This hotel is right next to the highway and the traffic noise is very loud all night. If you’re going to stay at this place, you have to assist on the other side of the hotel away from the traffic. Or bring earplugs!

Clean and renovated property with comfy beds. Had to wait several minutes for check-in as no one was at the counter. The AC works but is loud.

The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff were absolutely fabulous. Special shout out to Scarlett who went out of her way to assist us when we had an unexpected hiccup in our travel plans! Will be staying there again for sure.

We specifically requested a smoke free, dust free, allergen free room, and they put us in a room that previously had pets without any acknowledgement of that. We showed up to the place, stayed for 2 hours before my wife couldn’t breathe and then this place said they would make note to ensure we get a full refund and apologized for the inconvenience. We even contacted Expedia to get a return processed after booking an AirBnB and Expedia said they would’ve been able to process the return if the hotel had approved it… So the hotel lied about helping and caused no refund or compensation back. Never stay at this hotel if you have health concerns

I stayed there with my family with 2 small kids. We reached the hotel around 12:30 pm and wanted to check in. The front desk agent said there will be a $20 fee to check in early as check in time is 3 pm. This is a really cheap policy by the management. I have stayed in many many hotels and no hotel has asked me to pay a fee to check in at 12:30 pm. Some guests reach hotel before 3 pm and many reach the hotel way after 3 pm. They don’t all line up at 3 pm to check in. So give your guests the courtesy of checking in early if the room is available. Most guests don’t end up checking in until way after 3 pm anyways. We decided to head to town instead and enjoyed the city and ended up checking in at 10 pm. The next day the breakfast was in a crammed room where items were running out left right centre and the service was not great. The waffle machine didn’t work properly as waffle would get stuck and you would have to rip it out. It was happening to everyone using the machine not just me. We asked for a 12 noon check out and the same $20 fee bs was repeated by the front desk agent. For one hour late check out no hotel I’ve stayed at asked for a fee ever. This again is very cheap from management (owner). Nickeling and diming your guests like this will not win you repeat business. I’ll certainly not be staying here again. I almost forgot to write about the good part of our stay. The room was very comfortable and very nice swimming pool with water slide which my kids enjoyed.

Our flight arrived at 1230am and Jackie greeted us bedraggled travelers with a smile. Dressed to the nines, she was mopping when we arrived. "Have to keep it clean!" She gave us toiletries (our bags were delayed) and the 11am check out was really nice. Fabulous free breakfast of eggs, bacon waffles etc, and great flowers and landscaping as a bonus which we noticed in the light of day. Highly recommend.

Clean, friendly check in. Our complaint was booking 9 months ahead and our request of early check in being denied.

Good location on highway close to airport.

This is a relatively new hotel in Oyster Bay. The place is clean and the rooms well appointed. Ot is easy to find, as it is right on the Trans Canada Highway. The complimentary breakfast is excellent, with hot and cold selections that are clean and well prepared. There are some short hiking trails around if you need to stretch your legs.

This hotel is conveniently located near Ladysmith. Even it’s next to the highway the room we stayed was quiet. There’s a pool and hot tub and a little gym. The hotel was quiet new and clean. The complementary breakfast was really good. Staff did their best topping up the ingredients for the crowds. It was a pleasant experience for us, we’ll consider staying there again.

Good location, convenient to Nanaimo airport

Conveniently located near the airport. Perfect for one night stay. Friendly staff.

A bit in the middle of nowhere, but the hotel is well run and in good condition.

This was a great place to stay. It served as a good home base from some family that we have both north and south on the island. The only real drawback is if you want to do anything in town it's about a 5 minute drive, nothing major, but you're definitely not walking to the beach from this hotel.

Easy access to the highway and close to Nanaimo and Ladysmith.

Convenient location just off the highway for travelers using the ferry or airport. Standard room and breakfast buffet are just what we need to continue our trip. We are repeat visitors.

Really nice hotel. Pool and gym were nice. Breakfast is served 6-9am pretty basic options (eggs, bacon/sausage, bread, cereal, waffles etc.). I recommend going down at around 7:30am as the bacon/eggs run out quite quickly and to avoid waiting a bit to make your waffles. Gas station, Tim’s and A&W nearby and most stores/shops are about 20 mins away. Overall had a great stay!

We saw the banana bread sign but never did see any bread. The workers were working tirelessly but the need for getting more food put ou was neverending. She put sausage out and then it was sqarmed with people and no meat left! This was within 10 seconds! Clearly there is a problem!

Great motel - everything was super clean (including pool and hot tub). Staff were very nice. Breakfast was kind of a disaster though - ran out of dishes both days we were there, and food one day.

Lazy rude staff, terrible breakfast. I heard the staff say "the eggs are contaminated and I'm not making any more".

Beautiful location. Convenience store close by. Short staffed for breakfast both mornings. 1 person taking care of dushes and food. Suggest having more dishes, so staff doesn't need to wash so frequently and can focus on replenishing food.

Everything was excellent except the buffy breakfast. Many of the clients were allowed to take more than is normal. There should be more than one person preparing the breakfast when there are a lot of clients. One person cannot keep up with the demand. There should be controls on how much each client is allowed to take and possibly there needs to be someone directing individuals when they are picking up their food. Many clients were ate and then took additional food back to their rooms which caused some clients not to get food.

The breakfast was terrible. Egg was dry, sausage was not appealing.
