Like the solid flooring with no carpet, seems cleaner that way. Bed was a little firm for me, but the linens were comfortable and the A/C kept the room nice and chilly! Offers a shuttle to the casinos on Fridays and Sundays, we didnt utilize that, but its a nice feature! Would stay again!

The hotel was perfect for a one night stay for my husband’s Christmas Party at Blue Martini. The hotel offered shuttered service to and from the casinos which was PERFECT! Bed was comfortable, rooms clean, staff helpful. The continental breakfast was nearly “empty” but then again we didn’t get down there until around 930 and they stop breakfast at 10. But that alone wasn’t a deciding factor on how good the hotel was. No major complaints.

Check in was easy. Staff was nice. Lobby has activities and there is a clean work out room. They have free coffee and tea all day, and you can purchase snacks and sundries. Free breakfast consists of pancakes, bagels, toast, eggs, bacon, and grits, as well as 3 cereals, some yogurt, and fresh fruit.

We have stayed here before - like the close proximity to the Casinos and super easy to get to the downtown location for fun Live Music and great restaurants! the ONLY downside was - NO drawers in the rooms for my clothes and the bed was a bit firm and no pool BUT - was a GREAT stay!!! Danielle at the front desk was super helpful & nice too!!!

Pros: Convenient to nearly everything Relaxing lobby with multiple options for seating dining, lounging, even working Pet friendly Free breakfast Free parking Reasonably priced Nice outdoor seating area No carpet (cleaner with fewer allergens) Well-equipped exercise room Cons: Low (nearly nonexistent) water pressure Guests above sounded like they were stomping around their room (maybe they were, maybe it was the lack of carpet) Shower floor wasn’t clean There are no closets in the rooms. It was fine with me but some guests were put off by that.

The room was nice but after trying to to go bed and stay asleep. You can hear everything. I came to this hotel because it's away from the highway, cars usually tend to be loud. Your wall in this room seem paper thin. Noise from dogs kids and loud people. I would NEVER come back to your hotel.

No hot water it was Luke warm at best, no one picks up their dog poo except me! Same breakfast each morning (other tru locations the meat and eggs change daily) no microwave in room other tru location I've stayed had one! But the place is nice! Said I could skip front desk by getting digital key but after I got it said go to front desk, then when I went to leave said I could leave checking out using app but then it said stop by desk, both times unneeded and annoying! I raved about my stay at previous Tru location but I doubt I will use Tru in the future

Would have given it 5 stars, but the walls are a bit thin. A couple next door had a tense but not loud discussion about 2 a.m. that disrupted my sleep. Although I couldn’t make out the woman’s words, I could make out every word he said.

Overall the property was good. The staff was extremely nice. The only issue was the temperature and water pressure in the shower. The whole time the water was luke warm with little to no water pressure.

Comfy beds! Clean! Friendly staff! Fun things to do in the lobby! Breakfast was great! But, no microwave or coffee pot in room.... it was raining, so our tv kept loosing signal.... other than that, great place to stay, especially with teens or kids!

Main desk was understaffed. The one employee working there was friendly and efficient, but there was a line of people waiting to check in. Snacks, drinks, and alcohol were available for sale in the lobby, but the automated payment system was out of order and the single desk staffer was overwhelmed with checking in guests. Room was not available for check in at 3:00 PM as advertised. Was assigned a handicap access room, which we did not request. Design of this room allowed shower water to spread to the floor of the bathroom. No bath mat was included in the linens. Floors of guest room were recently cleaned, but sticky throughout the stay. Hotels back lot is on the banks of Contraband Bayou, but the banks of the bayou were covered with litter. Outdoor upholstered seating area furniture has no cover and was wet from recent rains. Breakfast bar setup was insufficient for the volume of users. This hotel could be much improved, probably with just a higher level of staffing in all areas from the front desk, to housekeeping, to general maintenance.

Tru had a very clean and mod look which I appreciated. The staff was great and helpful in choosing a great place to eat next door,( Shucks). My one day stay was indeed restful and pleasant.

This is really nice place. We checked in late still was quick and easy. Property is buried in horseshoe of hotels so make left and quick right. Leaving is nightmare. Light at I210 will backup traffic horribly plan for 15-20 minutes to leave the side street.

Property was conveniently located and staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, although I would have loved some oatmeal as an option. Bacon was thin and very greasy, so the sausage was a great option. Loved having coffee available in the evening. People above us were loud, but overall, a good stay.
