The Z Hotel Tottenham Court Road

Not too far from Oxford Circus tube station, Z Hotel was great to stay for events in the city. Placed on the 7th floor, I ended up using the elevator and it was smooth as anything. The hotel has a cafe that serves food 24/7, but I can't comment on quality. Breakfast runs pretty late into the morning for late lays. The rooms aren't super massive - I've been in bathrooms bigger than the entire room, and you have a small cube of floor space to stand in, but it was perfectly ideal for my purposes. The bed is large and spacious, the sheets are good, and the pillows plentiful enough. The TV channels are a bit grim, but the TV itself is nicely sized. The AC in the room was a little fiddly to understand - but in 28°c weather, it worked fantastic. The lights, blinds, and bathroom lights are all controlled by a delightful little button panel. Tea/coffee + kettle were plentiful, the hairdryer was good quality, and the view was great. The plugs have USB slots which was nice. Internet is fiddly and tempermental but worked fine. The bathroom, for it's size, was great. Towels were good quality, and the sink was massive. The shower itself is lovely and big, though the toilet doesn't flush great. Despite long showers, the room didn't get humid like I feared. The elephant in the room is that it is a frosted glass divider between the bathroom and the rest of the room, and the frosted effect stops pretty far down. Not a place to share with family - it's a great couples room.

The rooms were tiny but cozy, the staff were incredibly friendly and there is a lady that works at night who can make one of the best espresso martinis I’ve had, the cafe was super cute and my go to almost daily, would stay there again for sure

Location is fantastic. Short walk to Tottenham court or Oxford circus tube stations, Oxford street shopping, Chinatown, British museum, you name it. The room was very small but adequate for a solo traveler. Windows are sealed so you can’t open them for fresh air but give the cold weather it’s ok. The cafe is open 24 hours which was brilliant since I came back late one night way past the time where other food options were available and I was able to get chicken tenders from the cafe. Service was great! Staff were helpful and friendly.

While the rooms are small, they are more than adequate for one person. The room was clean and equipped sufficiently with a hairdryer and tea making facilities. It must be said that the bed was very firm but honestly it didn’t really bother me (I’m usually a soft mattress sleeper). There were no issues leaving my bag in before check in and it was brought up to my room when it was ready. It was in an excellent location, just a short walk from both Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road stations as well as being walking main tourist attractions such as Leicester Square/Piccadilly Circus and Buckingham Palace. Anything that couldn’t be reached by foot quickly could be reached by tube given the plethora of lines you’re next to.

Check-in was very smooth and the front desk staff was accommodating. We arrived early and knew rooms would not be ready, but one room was available so we stored luggage there. Surrounded by restaurants, shops. Easy 7 min walk to the Tube, close to Piccadilly Circus. Cafe area was easily accessible and PM staff was excellent. Beds are VERY hard; it was very uncomfortable for family member with MS and chronic pain. Rooms are also very small with no place to unpack clothes. No closet, just several hooks on the wall with hangers; we are traveling for 2 weeks and it was challenging navigating the room with large suitcases. Service a location were top-notch, but we would not stay again due to room comfort.

Fantastic front of house team, checkin was smooth and easy, room was a bit on the small size but it was clean and well presented which is great to see. Only con - The air con is very weak and room is stuffy and hot, but borrowed a fan which did the job, so thank you for your help.

Rooms are very small, but perfect for 1 or 2 night stay. If you're sharing you'd need to know the other person well! No privacy in bathroom. Our original room had a damp/musty smell and the a/c wasn't working. But the lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and changed us to another room without any problem. Bed was comfortable. I was late getting in the night I stayed, due to a concert, but I was still able to get something to eat from the cafe at gone midnight, which was great! Staff were friendly and helpful and I'd definitely stay again!

Location for central london was amazing. Staff on arrival made us feel welcome and very helpful. Unfortunately issues began as we entered our room. Smelt so badly of damp. Air con was available but not the best and no windows available to open for some fresh air. Had an alarm in our room at 10.15pm, told it was due to having a shower and something to do with the air quality, fine however when the alarm then went off at 3.05am was not impressed, i can assure you no air change when we are fast asleep in bed. Then told it would finally be turned off, so why was it on in the first place? Also if it is for safety reasons why was nothing checked in our room? The following morning i requested to change room as i didnt fancy being woken twice in 2 nights. Room was changed to an even worse room. Smelt even worst then the first. Lowered the blind only for it to break on top of my sons head (the big top metal fitting). Spent all night listening to water running through what i can only hope was the air con. We booked breakfast for one morning, we left after 5 minutes. The croissants were stale and the choices were limited to say the least. Very disappointed with our stay and the facilities. Only bonus was being so central. Also the rooms were not clean and you can hear the cleaning team cery loudly in the hall from 8am. Not great when you wish to enjoy a holiday lay in.

DIrty bedside table, dirty shower glass and floor, sink plug didnt work, blind stuck up so woken at sunrise, no way to darken the room, nowhere for a suitcase, no clothing rial or wardrobe wither. So not enough sleep, no shower either, left feeling pretty rough. Room is like a tiny pod room, which is fine for me, but awful for 2 people.

The location of the hotel was great, rooms are extremely small but we knew that. Staff on reception are great but the room felt dusty and missing body wash in the shower. The reason for marking down is because of this and when we raised it to the made and even asked for towels on the second day she told us no until we pushed that we wanted clean towels daily. She seemed very off and blunt but apart from the niggles fab location and reception extremely polite.

Great for an overnight to attend a wedding in soho! Fab location. Quiet and comfortable night. No frills but room had all we needed. Room tiny and felt closed in as bed covering most of window but comfy large bed and cinema experience large tv. Bathroom offers little privacy with fogged glass so if you don’t know your roommate intimately, you will after your stay.

There was no AC in the room. They told me every room was this hot. They said every room had a fan in it. I made them give me a different room, no issues with the next room, the staff were lying!
