The hotel was a nice, affordable option for staying in an otherwise expensive city. Staff was very nice, lovely courtyard to sit out in the evening with water and fire features or sit out in the morning with the tasty Continental breakfast including muffins, pastries, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, toast, coffee and tea. There is a refrigerator filled with cold water bottles that are for the guests to take. Room was clean and modern. Shopping center across the street as well as a frozen yogurt place. Hotel set in a safe neighborhood with on.street parking that was easy to find. No complaints and will definitely stay again next time we are visiting L.A.

The property was amazing! All the staffs were friendly and I love that they provide bikes with free six hours usage! With that being said Trader Joe’s, liquor store , and Starbucks is less than five minutes away from the location. Parking was never a problem. I also love that they provided Japanese sake for manager hour! Definitely going back!

I love this place, but whoever is the manager or owner needs to spend a little time looking at all the things that are not working like the fire pit, which is the most appealing part and a lot of the rocks on the pathways need to be fixed

We really enjoyed our 4 day stay at Mayumi. Small boutique hotel with lovely inner courtyard just off check-in desk and lobby where continental breakfast and complimentary afternoon drink offered. Loved the complimentary bicycles as Ballona Creek bike path nearby. Fabulous staff! We’ll stay here again in the future!

Didn’t spend much time at the hotel over this short stay. But overall, it’s a cute boutique hotel with a cozy, welcoming courtyard (complete with a BBQ setup) and nice amenities. The complimentary breakfast each morning was particularly nice as were the free bottles of water that you can grab at any time of day. The only downsides (if I had to choose them) were: 1) the beds seemed rather small - fine for one person, but a bit cramped for two; and 2) the sheets were really rough/scratchy (definitely in need of an upgrade). Other than that, our stay was great! Would definitely stay again.

The bed was way too small for two people. No in-room coffee, and coffee was not available in the lobby until 7am (bad for people from the east coast). Only street parking available and it was very limited. No elevator to second floor for people with physical disabilities. Central courtyard was very nice. Staff was friendly.

Very cute locally-owned boutique hotel, in a convenient location close to the airport, Westfield shopping mall, and right across the street from a strip mall with a grocery store, which came handy to take advantage of the in-room mini refrigerator and microwaves in the reception/lounge area. Decent continental breakfast and sake happy hour. Free parking on the streets surrounding the building, just be aware of parking restrictions on street cleaning days and remember to move your car. Would stay here again!

Cleanest hotel i have ever stayed. Very friendly staff and excellent continental breakfast. Maybe drinking glasses in room, but just went to lobby. Will stay again

I liked how quiet it was and very clean. The ambience at night in the courtyard is nice with the lighting, low music, and firepit. Staff was friendly. The only complaint I have is the odd smell when you walk in your room. They need to have better smelling cleaning supplies or un-scented. I stayed here twice in one week - two separate times and two separate rooms. They both had that smell - doesn't smell like bleach or a cleanser. I'm assuming it's their cleaning products. They should change that. Otherwise, great location and great boutique hotel.

Night staff is not very friendly. Checking in wasn’t great and room had lingerie hanging from previous guest and dirty toilet. Wasn’t properly cleaned

Very cool building breakfast was great. Street parking was a bummer. But the room had alot of small winged insects looked like fungus gnats.

Mayumi was exceptionally clean, comfortable and conveniently located. It is a well-run property.

This is such a gem. Location is about 20-30 minutes from most of LA, and parking is easy and free (though you have to park on the street, but it feels safe). The rooms are nice, compact and clean. We did only have small ants around the room for a while, but it wasn’t too bothersome. Breakfast was delicious: pastries, yogourt, granola, bread, coffee and tea. Plus, there was some wine and sake from 5-7! The yard is beautiful. 5/5 would come back again!!!

I stay here whenever I’m out in the area for work. It’s always SPOTLESS. And the people who work there are so kind. I’m nervous posting a good review will make them busier and more challenging to book here (lol), but I think that highly of them!!!!

Cute property in a quiet residential area with street parking. Hotel is brand new, with everything clean. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was simple - packets of oatmeal, fruit, pastries, coffee, and tea. Lovely courtyard with a fire pit, tables, and a grill. The room was small, just enough space to squeeze by into the bed. I stayed with my husband. We were both traveling from work and I maintained east coast hours, while he was working west coast hours. The outside wall of the bathroom is a curtain around the glass shower rather than an actual wall, so when I woke up early and turned on the bathroom light, it shined directly into the room (the curtain is NOT black-out), and it woke him up every day. There was also no side table on his side of the bed, nor was there enough room for him to get into the bed from that bathroom wall side - he had to crawl over me or from the foot of the bed. The bed was so close to the bathroom wall, that it would also ruffle that wall curtain out of place. Very strange design choice. Bathroom included soap, conditioner, and shampoo. Closet was large with an iron. Fridge in the room. Everything in the room (lights, window curtain, A/C) is managed by a single panel on the wall. The AC didn't always work and at one point the room went to 83 degrees and we couldn't get it to cool. I would stay here again but only if traveling alone.

Room comfortable and clean. Bathroom was well appointed. The only difficulty - if you can call it that - was adjusting the thermostat on the iPad, on which everything is operates (blinds, lighting, AC). It took a minute to figure out, but once I did it was fun to use to adjust the temp ... and lighting!

I was on a work trip and the Internet was out for the entire time I was there. They offered me something like a 10% discount on my stay which is very low effort considering my work trip revolved around me having internet access. Totally would have been okay with checking out that same evening I realized the Internet was not working but they told me I would not be getting reimbursed for the day if I did that. Completely

Check-in was quick and easy. I appreciated the clean, minimalistic aesthetic of the room. I visited during WeHo Pride, and I found the open spaces outside the room to be quite inviting, along with a distinctive kitchen area where guests can help themselves to a continental breakfast. However, there were some noise concerns. While the overall area was relatively quiet, I could hear a family with children moving about, which disrupted the tranquility of my stay. It had some noise issues. The area itself was fairly quiet as far as noise goes, but I could hear a whole family with kids running back and forth, up and down the stairs from the room above me and past my room door, so the room wasn't very quiet, making it difficult to sleep past 6 am. The housekeeper beat on my door for cleaning like it was time for me to leave, even though I was staying there for two nights. Street parking in and around the neighborhood is the only option. No parking is available on site.

The property was located central to what I wanted to see and do in west LA. It was very quiet, didn’t notice any noise from traffic. The rooms are very compact, not much room to maneuver around the bed. All beds in this hotel are full sized

Pros: Unique layout with central courtyard, kitchen with free water bottles(!!!!), fire pits, etc. Just a nice space to spend time in Rooms had a good amount of space, though the shower basically being in the center of the room might be weird for some folks. Very friendly staff Cons - the WiFi didn't consistently work for me - The front desk didn't have other common hotel amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc. However, there is a Rite-Aid 5 minutes away, so this wasn't that big of an issue - breakfast is very limited, though I can't tell if that's because I arrived an hour into service.

No onsite parking, found out when I arrived. The manager refused to refund fully for a work trip because I needed to stay at a different hotel in order to have secure parking for the work vehicle filled w equipment. I didn’t stay a single night, was unaware there wasn’t onsite parking, yet they charged me. It blew me away I was treated with such disrespect. This is the hospitality industry isn’t it? The manager wouldn’t budge. That is honestly ridiculous. Give your business somewhere else that respects guests, should you have a problem, this is the kind of service you can expect. I stayed up the road at a well known hotel where they were so kind and understanding of l my predicament. They even offered to comp my parking for the bad experience at this joint.

I got into town quite late, and Martha was amazing. She was very friendly and informative and understood the needs that I required having a partner with a disability. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thank you Martha 🥰

The common areas are wonderful, continental breakfast a nice surprise, and room super clean. The staff was awesome and went above to make our stay pleasant. Definitely will stay here again.

Lovely boutique hotel, with friendly staff (especially Khang who went above and beyond); small but super clean rooms and nice breakfast. Loved the opportunity to check out a bike and helmet to explore the beautiful surroundings! Hated the over one-inch gap under my door, exposing guests to critters from outside (I have a phobia)! I reported this on my first day and made clear how fearful I was about this. I finally got moved to a room without this unacceptable flaw during my last night at the hotel. Better late than never, but there should be no gap this big under an outside door in the first place - and when flagged, it should be corrected right away.

Well this didn't start out so good. It's an unassuming hotel, looks like a converted small apartment complex with a small gate, wasn't sure if it was the front door so I rang the doorbell, and the guy came to answer the door, I asked him if this is the hotel, and he asked if I was a delivery guy. No, I'm checking in, and he didn't apologize, checked me in fine, very businesslike. He took my credit card for deposit and didn't say anything else. Then I get home and find a $15.97 charge on my card. I sent an email inquiry but 3 days later no response. I called them and the lady said it was a facilities fee but then she had to hang up because she was busy. Aren't staff required to at least mention to you when they're charging something to your credit card? I checked my Trip Details here on hotels.com and it does not mention any fee but on the hotel details page it does list it. Room is OK but the blackout curtain is basically useless since so much light shines around the edges anyway. Touch panel is high tech but means you have to go all the way to the panel to turn the light on/off which seems unusual for a hotel when you have to get up and go that far from the bed. The water seems heavily treated here, showers were really uncomfortable, no matter how much I rinsed or scrubbed, I could not get the soap feeling off. Even washing hands was really uncomfortable. This alone makes me want to stay elsewhere. Pretty bad view of junk hoarders across the alley.

I didn't love this stay. It was just ok. Rooms are tiny, feels like a dorm room. Walls thin. Courtyard layout creates a lot of noise in room. Check-in staff was unfriendly and unhelpful; I had to ask about any details like breakfast, happy hour, etc. which they wouldn't have mentioned otherwise. Reception staff later in the evening were really friendly and accommodating! Area felt safe. Street parking only. Complimentary cold water was nice. Probably won't stay again.

Perfect for a quick overnight in west LA. Quiet neighborhood. Great breakfast arrangement, clean, efficient and quiet room. Great location for visiting UCLA and surrounds without having to stay in busy area around campus. Excellent value.

Wow, what a great hotel! We'd stay there for a month if we could! Such great architecture and interiors, fab staff (Wendy rocks!), yummy b'fast, ten minutes to LAX, Marina Del Rey and Venice, a cool courtyard to hang out in, bikes to ride, free street parking, Menchie's Yogurt across the street and an old school office and stationery store next store. They pretty much thought of everything, yay!

My experience was excellent. The room was neat and clean. I especially liked that there was no carpeting. The flooring was wood and tiles. Very nice. It was quiet and very clean. The service was excellent and the price was fair. The location was great being close to LAX and the West LA area and the 405, especially for the price!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were clean, and I loved the big screen TV with a wide range of channels—much better than most hotels. The shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but overall it was comfortable. The location is super convenient, right by the Westfield Mall, close to major freeways, and with a grocery store across the street plus plenty of dining options nearby. The courtyard at night is a really nice place to unwind, and I appreciated the communal kitchen for free water and tea. The included breakfast was a great perk, especially when you’re on the go. Parking can be a little tricky, and you may need to walk a short distance, but it’s manageable. For a solo traveler, this place is just about perfect.

99% of the time when I come to stay in Los Angeles, I will stay at this hotel. It’s super convenient and relatively centrally located. The room and facility is really clean.

We liked just about everything. Comfortable bed, very good continental breakfast. Front desk staff very efficient and friendly. Easy check in & out. We liked the set up in the patio
