Was very pleased with the hotel. Second time staying here. Very clean and spacious room n bathroom . The only thing is no elevator in parking lot so you need to carry your luggage up or down the stairs to lobby. Good breakfast. Will stay here again. 10 mins from relatives home

While a bit on the older side, this was a pretty nice hotel for the price, convenient to shopping and dining and freeway access. However, it did have some issues, like one elevator was out, and on some floors the UP button didn’t work and other floor is the DOWN button didn’t work, and of course, the nearest ice machine was one floor up or down from us. We enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast and free parking.

My stay was lovely as expected: this was my second visit to New Gardena Hotel in a month. The restaurant is especially good with tasty authentic Japanese cuisine, friend service, and good hours. The room was clean and fully stacked and they even had a cot for an extra visitor who stayed the last night.

This hotel is very well maintained. The rooms, hallways and entrance are always kept clean. The staff are welcoming and available for your needs. The location is in a prime spot right across from a shopping center with plenty of dining options. The only minor complaint is the slow-moving entry gate you must wait for every time you enter and leave the property. But, it's not a deal breaker.

We had a great stay. We were comfortable the entire time. The Secure Parking Structure is very convenient. The parking alone is a reason to come back and we will stay here again. Good, Clean, and no riffraff.

初めて利用しました。とても快適、ホテルに有る居酒屋さんで無料の朝食。和朝食が嬉しい。2泊して2日目の和朝食には納豆が付いてきて泣けた。残念なのはシャワーの水圧が非常に悪く、嬉しい深めのバスタブにお湯を溜めるのに20分？くらいかかりました。是非これからも利用させて頂きたく思います。

I felt safe in the neighborhood. The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was nice enough, and the bedding and bathroom were clean, but the carpet was very dirty. There were missing, water damaged and broken ceiling tiles in the hallway.

The hotel is tucked in a decent neighborhood but you do need to look closely for the right driveway to pull into. The room was quiet and comfortable. Maybe a little dated and didn't scream sanitation but it was clean enough to feel comfortable. Would we stay here again if in the area? Yes. Much better options than anything else we passed by. Good for our one night stay after a late concert at the Forum.

Laxでの滞在は、何時もアナハイム近辺に泊まっていましたが、今回は空港にも近いガーデナ地区のこちらのホテルに滞在して大正解でした。先ず道を渡った所に日本スーパーがあったので何でも手に入り、ホテルから歩いて行かれる距離にラーメン、お鮨、焼肉屋などなど食べる所にも困りませんでした。コロナで朝食サービスがありませんでしたが、その代わりに夕食のお弁当サービスがあり、嬉しい驚きでした。次回のLAX滞在も利用させて頂きたいと思います。Wi-Fiが時々弱くなるのでそれだけがちょっと困りました

I really liked the gated parking garage. Overall, our stay wasn’t bad. The room was very basic and the ac was a little outdated and loud at times. It didn’t bother us though, we both slept pretty well. Check in and out was pretty quick and simple

Do not let them put you in room 407. They gave us room 407, when we got inside the room it was sooooo hot. I checked the AC made sure its on cool, mind you this was the older AC version. Waited 30mins to check if the room would cool down, and it didnt. Went downstairs to let the front know. First the lady was like we dont have any more rooms, and maintenance left but will be back tomorrow morning. I told the front desk lady that no way am I going back to that room when it felt like a sauna, it was cooler in the hallways and lobby than in the room. So she ended up goving us a different room but then had the audacity to tell me that we would have to move back to room 407 tomorrow am because that room is already booked for a different guest. i told her no way am Ingoing back to that room, I dont have time to pack and unpack especially when we have a kpop concert to go to which is basically a whole day/night event. She called a different worker, talked for bit and finally said ok you dont have to go back to room 407 and just stay in the new room.

Ein japanisch ausgerichtetes Hotel. Personal am Empfang sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Liegt an einer Hauptstraße. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße, es war laut. Es fehlt die sonst übliche Kaffeemaschine, dafür hat das Zimmer eine "japanische" Toilette. Großes Zimmer mit 2 Queenbetten, sehr bequem.

The staff were quite friendly, helpful, and polite and the facility was clean, well managed, and beautiful in ambiance. The food at their restaurant, Happa, was so delicious and enticing in appearance that we ate there for most of our meals. Fearing danger due to agitators who had stormed into downtown LA allegedly as protesters, I asked the hotel management for advise in choosing a safe route back to San Francisco at the end of our visit to Gardena. They researched the situation and were able to suggest a route that allowed for me to avoid the downtown area of LA, which was not too far away, unfortunately. I felt much safer upon receiving advice from management. I will always choose to stay at New Gardena Hotel whenever I come to visit LA. They are superb in many ways.

Upon checking in, the staff had informed us that there would be a $17 charge per child. There was nothing in the booking saying they would be charging kids. Otherwise we would never book there. We refused to pay because it was not disclosed. The parking was gated which was nice but cameras everywhere! Two whole walls of cameras! So apparently it was not a safe neighborhood or they just must want to watch our every move! The rooms were very small. Mini fridge sat on a small wicker block which was very weak and unstable. Toilet did not flush well and shower leaked all over the bathroom floor due to poor curtains. I would not recommend staying here.

The location is great. Very convenient to a number of restaurants within easy walking or driving. The breakfast provided by the hotel is unique. You can choose a Japanese or American breakfast and we tried both during our visit. The room is kept very clean and the only downside is the lack of a comfortable chair to sit and read. Parking is a little confusing and not clearly explained by the front staff. Overall we enjoyed our stay and hope to return sometime soon.

We really loved our stay here. I only removed a few stars because the location feels very much like a hotel on a busy road, with a lot of car lots around it. BUT the staff was VERY friendly, the place was clean. Beds comfortable. Rooms spacious. There are a few good eating options around, but it's definitely a place to stay if you NEED to be in the area (like we had to be). But we would recommend it, and would stay here again.

Very comfortable and conveniently located for a short trip to the San Pedro pier. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable and quiet. The complimentary breakfast and underground parking were definite pluses. A close drive to Hermosa beach and lots of restaurants and shops in the area.

The staff was outstanding. The hotel room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had two options; American or Japanese. I chose American and it was two eggs, toast or muffin, one sausage and one bacon, and potatoes. It worked well for me, but if you are a big eater, it may not be enough.
