Lovely grounds. Tucked away and quiet. Superior staff - friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Room amenities like microwave, coffee maker and fridge could use an upgrade, however the room was clean and comfortable. Outdoor whirlpool clean but felt water was not hot enough. Big fire pit had plenty of brush, kindling and firewood however we unfortunately didn’t get a chance to use, but definitely would’ve wanted to.

Location was conveniet within couple of minutes to sister bay downtown. Loved the hot tub outside enjoyed it every night while our stay. Breakfast was very nice to have if you travel with the kids. Service was good, We arrived late on Friday moved in our room and noticed that fire alarm is making noises. Front desk person was about to leave but stayed after his hours which is 10pm to resolve the issue.

Extremely damp inside the room from the first day on. After a few days in the room it started, due to the extreme dampness, to smell of mildew and our towels were always damp and wouldn’t dry. AC, open window were all tried but couldn’t air it out and get it to feel dry.

there were a few fire pits and bbq grills, that was nice! Although the garden was a beautiful setting, it was weedy and overgrown! The jacuzzi in the room needs to be scrubbed better and there was mold on the baseboards and around the shower door! the Airconditioner from the second floor unit was dripping right on our front step, we had to put a bucket.

The owners were incredibly kind, and the property beautiful. The room, however, smelled so heavily of mold and HEAVY mist that it was hard to breathe. My eyes itches and throat was tight, my daughters were sneezing and one wheezing. The air conditioner never cooled the room, and the bathroom fan was so loud it was almost unbearable. We wanted so badly to love it, but it was very clearly not a healthy air environment. The room was clean, breakfast was good, staff was great, property lovely. But just being in the room was very, very difficult.

Enjoyed our stay at the Coachlite Inn. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was newly remodeled. The room had a little too much furniture for its size, but all fit in a spot. The location was great for our needs - a little south of Sister Bay right on Highway 42. Even though we were close to the highway, it was quiet. While the room was very clean, it was a bit rough around the edges such as a fridge that needed to be defrosted and some chips in the walls - mostly due to busy use during the summer months - neither of which affected our stay. The staff at the front desk was great at both check in and check out and the breakfast spread was simple but nice. Overall we would stay here again. The price was reasonable, the locations was good, and we enjoyed our stay.

The Expedia listing saod breakfast everyday, which is why I swlected this hotel. They only serve breakfast on the weekends. The floor did not look vacuumed. The walls are very thin. I could hear the TV in the room next door and the 6:00 am alarm, which no one was there to shut off.

Overall nice place. It’s safe, quiet, convenient to everything and affordable. Furnishing were a bit dated and room was small but I was only there for one night so it wasn’t a problem. Staff was super friendly. I can’t comment on the breakfast because I went to Al Johnson’s for Swedish pancakes :)

Room was clean but outdated. Too much furniture in the room, it was very cramped. Window air conditioner was off and the window was open. Room had a ceiling fan and with the ac back on it never really cooled down. Fan was so noisy. Not a restful stay.

Was convenient to Sister Bay. Many issues with the room. Vanity light was a dim fluorescent. Bathroom light had a timer heat lamp w/w okay. But the other light was a spot light bulb (outdoor?) that acted like a heat lamp. Could not turn it on while using the toilet made this little room very warm quickly shining down on you. Room had entirely too much furniture way over crowded. Do not need 5 table lamps, a desk and a table with chairs as well as two plush chairs with an ottoman. Could not move around easily. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat as a board and equally as hard. The A/C was a pain. Went on for a coupe minutes then would turn off constantly, no matter what temperature we set it at. Off on off on etc. Had to turn it off overnight because we could not get any sleep. Lastly the breakfast was lame. Doughnut were stale and the overall was very limited. We stayed here years ago, the place has gotten dated. Very sorry to say.

Resort was beautiful outside, flower gardens were gorgeous. Our room was very clean but had a bit too much furniture to be very comfortable and the air conditioning was not working well, it was quite hot in our room. The air conditioning unit was blocked by one of the beds. Thank goodness it wasnt 90 degrees outside but it was still pretty warm in the room.

The staff was very communicative, calling us multiple times to offer a free cancellation because the power was out in the area and had been for a couple days. The only thing they said wouldn't work was WIFI and TV, I think they had a generator for everything else. When we got there at almost midnight, we were able to pick up our keycard and go straight to the room. The wifi and tv was back on the next day.

Likes: beautiful landscaping with a whimsical touch, comfy bed with good pillows, free parking, very helpful staff, water was hot and mini fridge was cold, thick towels, effective light-blocking window treatments, staff brought us a power strip for more outlets. Parking downtown on weekends is terrible, but the city does have a shuttle which conveniently stops at the entrance to the grounds. Dislikes: Room too crowded with table and wide chairs, king bed, loveseat, desk, dresser, mini fridge, dehumidifier, so no room to have two suitcases open. The light switch also turned off the outlets so we came back to find the laptop hadn't charged. Maybe it takes only 19 minutes to walk to the beach, but you have to cross the highway to get to the sidewalk. I'd stay there again if they have any larger rooms with a king bed, now that I know the tricks of managing the problems we had.
Likes: beautiful landscaping with a whimsical touch, comfy bed with good pillows, free parking, very helpful staff, water was hot and mini fridge was cold, thick towels, effective light-blocking window treatments, staff brought us a power strip for more outlets. Parking downtown on weekends is terrible, but the city does have a shuttle which conveniently stops at the entrance to the grounds. Dislikes: Room too crowded with table and wide chairs, king bed, loveseat, desk, dresser, mini fridge, dehumidifier, so no room to have two suitcases open. Location was conveniet within couple of minutes to sister bay downtown. Loved the hot tub outside enjoyed it every night while our stay. Breakfast was very nice to have if you travel with the kids. Service was good, We arrived late on Friday moved in our room and noticed that fire alarm is making noises. Front desk person was about to leave but stayed after his hours which is 10pm to resolve the issue.

What a wonderful stay! The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and peaceful — exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Everything about our experience was positive from start to finish. We’ll definitely be returning!

This hotel is old school door county and that’s not a bad thing. The rooms are dated, but they’re clean and well taken care of. About a 15 min walk to Sister Bay. There is also a shuttle during the summer months that you can catch. We really enjoyed our stay.

This property is set back from Hwy. the owners are very contentious and take good care of guests. The hot tub was working - a big plus since so many hotels claim to have them and the don’t work. We’d stay here again.

The location and the tail end of the out of season rates were hard to beat. This may not be the lap of luxury resort, but the bathroom was clean, the bed comfy and the outdoor seating areas provide the quest some excellent quiet space. It is also a short walk to many Sister Bay eateries and adult beverage opportunities..

The shower curtain was designed to hold water in since it had no liner but it didn't not. There was water on the floor street the showers that were taken. The owners were great, I would stay again. There was a shuttle that picks up on weekends, maybe weekdays too until end of Oct and goes downtown Sister Bay and will pick up where they dropped you off at every half hr until 2am, it was nice not having to drive.

Great place. In a great location to enjoy the peninsula. Enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the rain at night with all the trees and beautiful landscaping. Too little time to completely indulge. Need more than two nights next time.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The folks that run the hotel were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. The location was outstanding. We felt like we were close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again next time.

Enjoyed our stay at the Coachlite Inn. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was newly remodeled. The room had a little too much furniture for its size, but all fit in a spot. The location was great for our needs - a little south of Sister Bay right on Highway 42. Even though we were close to the highway, it was quiet. While the room was very clean, it was a bit rough around the edges such as a fridge that needed to be defrosted and some chips in the walls - mostly due to busy use during the summer months - neither of which affected our stay. The staff at the front desk was great at both check in and check out and the breakfast spread was simple but nice. Overall we would stay here again. The price was reasonable, the locations was good, and we enjoyed our stay.

Stay was good. Check in and out process was very easy. We were able to get into the room fairly quickly. Hotel’s location is at a really good spot. Breakfast was on a lighter side. There weren’t many options to chose from. Eggs, bread and yogurt. Place was fairly clean and comfortable to stay at. If you are not a hotel’s breakfast person then you won’t have any issues. It also has a good size jacuzzi to enjoy.

The Expedia listing saod breakfast everyday, which is why I swlected this hotel. They only serve breakfast on the weekends. The floor did not look vacuumed. The walls are very thin. I could hear the TV in the room next door and the 6:00 am alarm, which no one was there to shut off.

Was convenient to Sister Bay. Many issues with the room. Vanity light was a dim fluorescent. Bathroom light had a timer heat lamp w/w okay. But the other light was a spot light bulb (outdoor?) that acted like a heat lamp. Could not turn it on while using the toilet made this little room very warm quickly shining down on you. Room had entirely too much furniture way over crowded. Do not need 5 table lamps, a desk and a table with chairs as well as two plush chairs with an ottoman. Could not move around easily. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were flat as a board and equally as hard. The A/C was a pain. Went on for a coupe minutes then would turn off constantly, no matter what temperature we set it at. Off on off on etc. Had to turn it off overnight because we could not get any sleep. Lastly the breakfast was lame. Doughnut were stale and the overall was very limited. We stayed here years ago, the place has gotten dated. Very sorry to say.

This is a wonderful Door County Gem! Very quiet, very clean and super friendly staff. The hot tub was fantastic, clean and area well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. Breakfast is yogurt, store bought donuts, cereal and fruit, it is not a hot breakfast, but the Sunshine Cafe right down the road is delicious. Perfect for a quick summer get away.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at Coachlite in Sister Bay. It is conveniently located near the downtown area. The Inn was very clean both in the rooms and on the grounds.
