Serenity Beach Retreat

Ideally located for family celebrations. Wonderfully quiet and safe location. Immediately out the back is a yard for play, then a walkway/cycle way north to Kings Cliff and out to shopping centre and beyond. Ideal for family cycling. Walkway runs parallel to walkway. Ample supply of bikes supplied by the generous owner. The suburb and cycle way is well shaded with trees and shrubs. The home, amazing for our family of 14, the living areas up stairs and down stands so spacious and relaxing extending to the outdoor areas. The owners generously provided all cutlery, plates, cooking equipment and associated materials The home reflected generosity, trust and ethical management. Oh the neighbours were very pleasant!

We enjoyed a mid-year get together with our children and their partners and grandchild. Perfect location and weather for July.

The house is really well designed and works extremely well for a big group, the position is excellent. It is however getting a little tired and showing the need for maintenance. The grout in the bathroom needs a good clean or replacing. It looks like it has been originally set up well with all sorts of things you may need but there weren't enough forks for our group of 13 and there were only 12 towels. The pull-out bed is not big enough for 2 adults it really only sleeps 13 not 14 as claimed.

Such a fabulous location with excellent space for our two families. The pool and garden were well maintained and clean. Wonderful outdoor area and kitchen/entertaining space. Walking distance to beach. Pool table was used a few nights. Sadly the wifi was suboptimal and dropouts were frequent - likely related to the ISP and dated router - contact with the manager was good and speedy but was unable to be sorted as required to be onsite to address the issue which didn’t suit our schedule but I did require to do some work and it wasn’t suitable for that. Despite the size of the house and ample furnishings, the house needs a good clean. There were thick layers of dust on all windows, shutters, stairs, fans, pendant lights and trims. We gave some of them a clean. The tracks from windows and sliders were full of dirt and bugs. The lack of screens on the balcony sliders meant mosquitoes and bugs could readily come in. They needed to be open as there was no A/C and the ceiling fans weren’t efficient enough for the warm and humid days. The fan in the main bedroom and rumpus only has one speed that worked. We bought a few pillows for some of the beds as the ones provided were old and flat. The shared bathroom on the main floor leaks water through the shower screen that soaked the mats and floor. There were dried, spilt drinks under the couch we found when we moved a couch to pick up something. We gave the floors a good vacuum with the provided Dyson handheld. The kitchen is large and reasonably equipped though the pans had loose screws or were very dirty. The coffee machine was excellent and we enjoyed using it. Provision of a dishwasher pod or two would have been appreciated for the first night. Overall a nice location and good space with a better stay if the house was better maintained and clean. We felt the cleaning fee we paid was sufficient to ensure a high level of cleanliness and maintenance.

Was the perfect house for us all to meet up. This home accomodated all our needs with enough bedding configurations, easy access to the beach, a pool for those who preferred it, plenty of bathrooms and cooking equipment to cater to a large number of people and games and pool table to keep us entertained. We had a great family holiday.
