We arrived really early before our check in but they let us park our car so we could go off and enjoy the day and told us our room would be ready a bit earlier if we wanted to come back before check in. The check in was really efficient lady was so polite offered to carry our luggage. Room was on the 3rd floor wow a lot of stairs but room was really clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean really warm and welcoming. Had a couple of drinks at the bar staff were so friendly and helpful and the gentleman we saw about parking our car took an interest in our day all really chatty and nice people. Slept really well didn’t hear any noises from people outside etc. the breakfast was one of the best. I had Eggs Benedict was a nice portion size the ham was really good quality. The whole experience was really lovely will definitely be staying again

Property is generally excellent, this is our third visit. This time however we were disappointed that the bar & lounge was not open at 8.30pm for our usual evening drink despite opening times advertised as 10pm. Did not like parking in the side street as the area was not particularly nice with some strange characters hanging around. I understand the hotel is under new management? It would have been nice to have met them but unfortunately they were not about on the night of our stay. Breakfast is lovely as always. It would have been nice to be asked if we would have liked anything else though as in our previous visits. Sometimes another coffee is nice but didn't really like to ask. It was quite busy to be fair. All in all a nice stay despite the few hiccups.

Simply so well looked after, hotel great, food great, fully recommend only parking not the best due to location on sea front but helpful with parking. Worth a visit the hotel will not disappoint.

Nice hotel on the sea frount. Typical sea side area but run down the hotel nice and modern. Staff very friendly room clean and tidy . No lift and steepish stairs but ok. Food was great and the breakfast was very good with plenty available. Would stay again .

Old hotel pretending to provide luxury. Nothing but street parking available and no pull in to drop off bags. No elevator! Food is good, service staff are excellent, and the hotel is just across from Great Yarmouth beach.

Really lovely place to stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and they didn’t overcharge at the bar like other places do. Recommend a stay here. The only down size was no lifts as small hotel. We were on the top floor and my poor knees knew about it 😂

We booked a sea view room and were upgraded to the suite - lovely room, comfy king size bed and nicely furnished. Spacious and clean with lots of windows overlooking the sea front. Up a couple of flights of stairs which was no problem for us but something to be aware of as there is no lift. Breakfast was included and was possibly the best quality hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long time. High quality bacon and sausages And perfectly cooked eggs plus hand cut fresh bread. Superb. Breakfast area was also a restaurant open for lunch & dinner - nicely decorated and clean and fresh. Great decor and vibe although I can’t comment on other food as we only had breakfast here. The guy who served breakfast was really friendly and chatty - also covered the reception. The girl who checked us in the evening before was also friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again

Hotel Ocean is a comfortable beachfront boutique hotel (9 rooms on 3 floors– No lift) by the sea which offers ocean views and easy access to local attractions. The staff at Hotel Ocean were attentive and friendly making us feel comfortable throughout our stay. Our room (room 2 – 1st floor) was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed, mini fridge, free Wi-Fi, daily bottles of mineral water, and a flat-screen. Extras like a kettle with tea, coffee, biscuits, and Green & Vegan Anyah Eco Spa Treatment shampoo & body wash in the private shower room made our stay even more pleasant. A second armchair would have been nice for added comfort, but with the existing armchair and desk chair, it worked well enough. Our stay included breakfast at their onsite Box Tree Bistro which offered a great variety of breakfast options, we particularly enjoyed their full English, Egg benedictine / Egg royale breakfasts and their breakfast fruit salad – Portions were generous. The Box Tree Bistro also offered lunches, and evening meals, with options for indoor or outdoor dining. We mostly dined onsite as they had a delicious and reasonably priced menu. Parking was hassle-free, with free street parking available beside or behind the hotel in Resident Parking Zone A. Simply giving our registration number upon check-in, the hotel arranged a visitor permit. We never had trouble finding a spot, allowing us to explore Great Yarmouth without worrying about parking fees.

Hotel was very clean and the staff are amazing. The food was phenomenal and great value for money We were in room 1 and there are stairs directly outside the door which is a bit dangerous The only thing I would change would be the room you can sit in for drinks where reception is was so quiet it felt uncomfortable if you wanted to have a chat.

The hotel was beautifully decorated, clean and ideally located for local attractions. Our room was good and on the first floor as we requested. We thought the breakfast was really lovely, with lots of choice and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

The Hotel was excellent the staff were very polite helpful friendly tidy and very good at their job. The breakfast was not only amazing piping hot very good quality very big and was given service to the table. This is one of the best smaller hotels me and my husband have ever stayed in. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel was spotless, lovely and warm and the inclusive breakfast was fantastic. Cannot recommend this as a place to stay enough. When returning to Great Yarmouth I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Fantastic, 5 stars all round.

We stayed for one night, and it was fabulous! The staff and manager really made this stay great. Nothing was too much trouble. It was relaxing and calm. Everything was spotless clean. Our bedroom was great, with a view of the sea spacious and really comfortable. The food was excellent so compliments to the chef! Enjoyed the stay so much we are booking again. We really recommend this hotel...but more than anything what a fantastic team.

Visited here for the weekend,arrived a little but room was ready signed in and gave our room key, room 8 it’s on the top floor and not for the faint hearted as it seems to go on and on, so if you have trouble walking or climbing ask for a different room on booking. Having entered the room I found it rather on the small side, I did see another review stating this about filled walls and they are still there months after, also the toilet cistern does not always work and you have to lift lid to adjust it, bathroom also on the small side On the plus side downstairs bar and restaurant was lovely staff were really good and friendly, breakfast was really good and the drinks wasn’t expensive for the location If I did ever stay here again I’d ask for a room on lower floor

Nice comfy room. Modern and with all amenities you needed in the room. Prestige clean. Only the view from the window was not a "great view"and the room doors are very heavy?staff were very nice and we had a great warm welcomed. In general very satisfied and recommended. We be back for sure!

Unfortunately the hotel had no record of our booking via hotel.com so they were only able to book us for two nights in a room without a sea view. Should have been cheaper i am still not sure if i overpaid. So both myself and the hotel had to contact hotel.com, eventually we managed to speak to someone i have a refund and a credit for my Tesco club card points that i have to use reluctantly with hotel.com. The hotel is fine we tried to turn the radiator off but it kept coming on . Being at the back of the hotel there was no road noise and few street lights shining in the room but we did have the extractor fans for some of the time. The room was quite small, wardrobe the clothes pole could be higher up so you can put coats in without touching the fridge/unit.

Being at the back of the hotel there was no road noise and few street lights shining in the room but we did have the extractor fans for some of the time. The room was quite small, wardrobe the clothes pole could be higher up so you can put coats in without touching the fridge/unit.

We booked a sea view room and were upgraded to the suite - lovely room, comfy king size bed and nicely furnished. Spacious and clean with lots of windows overlooking the sea front. Up a couple of flights of stairs which was no problem for us but something to be aware of as there is no lift. Breakfast was included and was possibly the best quality hotel breakfast I’ve had in a long time. High quality bacon and sausages And perfectly cooked eggs plus hand cut fresh bread. Superb. Breakfast area was also a restaurant open for lunch & dinner - nicely decorated and clean and fresh. Great decor and vibe although I can’t comment on other food as we only had breakfast here. The guy who served breakfast was really friendly and chatty - also covered the reception. The girl who checked us in the evening before was also friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again

We enjoyed a two-night stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view out towards the sea. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately we didn't get around to sampling the evening menu, but the breakfasts were beautiful.

This hotel is amazing. Its outside appearance totally stands out on Great Yarmouths busy seafront and I can honestly say that you can't fault this hotel. Daniel made us feel welcome from the moment that we arrived. He took all our luggage to our room whilst we parked and then greeted us with a complimentary drink. The lounge decor is amazing and the bedrooms are beautiful too. Meals in the onsite restaurant are fantastic and breakfast is equally as good. They have a fantastic team of staff who are so polite and helpful. I can honestly say that i have never stopped anywhere with better customer service than this hotel. Daniel and his partner have definitely created an hotel and atmosphere that they should be incredibly proud of. They deserve more than a 10 out of 10 score and we will definitely visit again. Thank you to all who made our stay so perfect. From the amazing food to the perfect customer service and for everyone of the team who made our stay perfect including Simon, both Morgans and especially Daniel and his partner. We stayed for one night, and it was fabulous! The staff and manager really made this stay great. Nothing was too much trouble. It was relaxing and calm. Everything was spotless clean. Our bedroom was great, with a view of the sea spacious and really comfortable. The food was excellent so compliments to the chef! Enjoyed the stay so much we are booking again. We really recommend this hotel...but more than anything what a fantastic team.

Daniel and Morgan were the kindest people. Morgan greeted me so kindly and really ensured i was happy with everything, explained the parking to me, showed me to my room (even carried my bag), offered me a complimentary drink. I then met Daniel a little later, equally lovely, accommodating and just really showed they cared, attention to detail was brilliant, I couldn't find a fault if i tried. Fantastic location, and if i'm visiting GY again, i will only stay here! Thank you!!!

Nice hotel on the sea frount. Typical sea side area but run down the hotel nice and modern. Staff very friendly room clean and tidy . No lift and steepish stairs but ok. Food was great and the breakfast was very good with plenty available. Would stay again .

We arrived really early before our check in but they let us park our car so we could go off and enjoy the day and told us our room would be ready a bit earlier if we wanted to come back before check in. The check in was really efficient lady was so polite offered to carry our luggage. Room was on the 3rd floor wow a lot of stairs but room was really clean and comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean really warm and welcoming. Had a couple of drinks at the bar staff were so friendly and helpful and the gentleman we saw about parking our car took an interest in our day all really chatty and nice people. Slept really well didn’t hear any noises from people outside etc. the breakfast was one of the best. I had Eggs Benedict was a nice portion size the ham was really good quality. The whole experience was really lovely will definitely be staying again

Great place and great position on the front . We only stayed two nights and said we would go out to eat on the second night but could not decide on were to go so ate at the hotel for the second time and i have to say that both nights were exceptional food wise . Room was clean and had everything we needed . The hotel decor and furniture were well chosen . The staff were hard working and very charming we have to give a big shout out to Morgan who kept us talking most of our first night , good luck on your driving test and you football scholarship . Anif you do get to the states enjoy . But the food we have to say is exceptional thank you chef and to all the staff . Thank you

We stayed in room 6, which was clean and well presented; However, the bed lights and the left plug socket (facing the TV) next to the bed, as well as the bathroom extractor fan, did not work. We had no fan for the first 3 of our 5 nights during the heat wave so the room was hot at night. We were told that one had been ordered to be delivered for our room in time for our stay but this fan had not been delivered to the location before we arrived. But we were given a fan shortly after informing staff about the lack of one a second time. Other than those minor points, the rest of the stay was great. Breakfast was great and staff were very helpful.

Great location and super friendly & helpful staff. Amazing breakfast. Restaurant had air-con which was lovely on a hot day. Well decorated throughout. Would highly recommend.
