Only had a one night reservation. Staff was very professional. Only downsides I could find were on cleanliness and cost. My room had multiple hairs on the bathroom floor and bath robe. The $43 valet charge seemed excessive when the normal parking wasn’t far. Wouldn’t do valet again looking back.

Very good overall. But, this property has quite a few fees that aren’t included in the price to book. Parking & resort fees add up. I would say that each day I had fees of approximately $75 that were separate from the booking rate, just so you know.

The room was large, the bed comfy, but the room wouldn’t heat up property. The $35 per day for self parking outside seems high and was’nt clearly shown on the website.

Beautiful rooms and pool and fire pit area. Lots of babies and toddlers in hot tub which seems like a health risk to me. Music by pool was a bit loud and continuous till late. Overall a fantastic place!

Unfortunately a disappointing experience at this Westin property- yellowjackets (dead) accumulated around the spa, as well as used bandaids carelessly left by staff for 2 days. In a post-Covid world, it was disgusting and unacceptable for a Westin property. Shoutout to the excellent housekeeping staff and gold-standard morning barista!

Plan to pay another $100 per night for resort fee ($35) and parking ($43) plus taxes on top of your room rate. This hotel needs serious overhaul remodeling from bathtub is old and moldy to toilet paper holder is not even functional. Room decor is mix-matched and outdated. I asked for a bowl and some silverware on one evening. The room service person brought me a cup! He said I needed to go back down to front desk and asked for bowls as he doesn't have one... I don't know why a Westin hotel can't provide a bowl and some silverwares to their customer??? Will not stay here again. What a rip off and terrible customer service.

They provide a secret entrance card to legoland, so it’s much quicker than driving and very close to legoland and all you have to do is walk through a special path they have. Gave an overall rating of 3 in cleanliness because they made us wait 30 minutes past our check-in time due to the room not being ready, was told they were waiting on a supervisor to check the room was clean and ready. When we finally got our room, there was dust on the nightstand, so not sure how thoroughly they check the rooms. Staff was great, the man gave us a voucher for a free breakfast for the inconvenience. But overall, great location and beautiful resort.

It's super close to Legoland and they provide a back entrance pass. The pool was clean and my kid enjoyed it not being crowded. Most of all, suuuuuuper clean.

beautiful property unfortunately lacking in housekeeping, and it was very cold during our stay and the heater/air conditioning unit did not work in either one of the rooms we booked. Our suite was not serviced until we called for clean towels. Only exceptional service was from the valet and Bellman Highly recommend Check bill before leaving!

I absolutely love this property all around! I was a little disappointed this last visit when the sheets were clearly visible and dirty from some food being spilled and the housekeeper used the same bedding to remake the bed. I was under the assumption these would have been changed with clean sheets. Other that that, this place is amazing!

Property is nice but rooms seem a little dated . Short walk to Lego Land . Biggest issues were rust stain in shower, elevator seems like it will break soon . Walls are so thin the neighbors liked to have full conversations in the hall at 1030 at night while sleeping . Was expecting a bigger room and nicer accommodations for the price per night they charge . Staff was great and so was the breakfast .

They put us on the first floor by the elevator. We didn’t get any sleep bc you could hear every conversation that was taking place in the hallway and every door opening/closing. The room had low pressure water, so the shower experience was bad!! Never staying here again.

It was a short stay, the room was quite spacious but there needed to be maybe one more chair or something. The upholstered chair at the desk was too low to properly use my laptop and there was no other option. The arm chair could have used a foot stool, otherwise all the amenities were great.

Unfortunately, there is only one chair in the room. There used to be a chaise lounge, but no longer. There is also no bench to lay suitcase to unpack. It’s nice to have seating for two without having to sit on the bed. Furniture arrangement is poor for such a nice hotel.

Long wait to check-in. Had room on first floor which was noisy. Bed was horrible - mattress was worn out and hard. Noisy people in the room above us as well. Upon checkout we were given a credit for parking as compensation.

The bellman/ valet is completely useless. They didn’t even acknowledge that we arrived and when we asked for a luggage rack, he said no! Then when we asked for his help, he came and dropped a luggage rack to us . Wow… Once we complained, they were ready to smile and acknowledge us. Sad. We won’t be staying here again.

This property is clean and close to legoland and the sheraton which has a kid friendly pool. It needs another restaurant or dining option though. Only one restaurant for the entire hotel isnt enough. The Westin is also incredibly short staffed. Expect very long wait times for check in, service at the bar or restaurant and room service. They have 2 employees for the entire lobby and restaurant. Its insane.

The property was good but the service was very much lacking. Called quite a few times to the front desk but no one answers the phone. I was really surprised. I asked for extra pillows and nothing came after an hour. I called a few more times and no one came. I also called in the morning to check out and no one answered the phone.

We got to the property early and spoke to the front desk. They took my information, signed paperwork and put my credit card on file. The lady at the front desk said they would call me when the room was available. It was 4pm and still no call. We drove back to the property, and the woman said they didnt check us in. She said somehow are check in paperwork wasnt registered.

I love this hotel and come back year after year however for this trip unfortunately the 2-3 leaf blowers cleaning up Legoland (I assume) was blowing from 7 pm to midnight every night. So loud and irritating. You can’t keep your slider open or enjoy the patio let alone sleep! Disappointing !

The Carlsbad Westin is in a beautiful location. It has a gorgeous pool area to relax by during the day and is quiet and peaceful for those that are not traveling with children.

Location to legoland was perfect. Great shuttle service within 5 miles distance. Only issue, not a great food selection menu for long stays if dinning at the sheraton/westin every night.
