Stayed 1 night

This hotel is within an easy walk of the waterfront, an area full of restaurants, museums, and shopping malls with lots to do. It's in a safe location (although I was warned about walking the area after dark). The hotel has a set of unique rooms which all seem different. The staff remembered me from my last stay, which was nice. There's no in-house restaurant for breakfast, but considering how close the waterfront is, that's no big deal.

Stayed 2 nights

Stayed for 2 nights in Room 2, a ground floor economy double room. It was very clean, spacious, comfortable bed, large bathroom with good shower, pleasant lavender toileteries and soft towels. Appreciated the kitchenette, also large, well equipped with a good sized fridge and kettle, which we made use of. All the staff were warm, friendly, kind and helpful making us feel like part of a family. Harry helped us so much with a lift to the Citysightseeing Tour bus stop and in contacting local people to give us good information for our trip to Boulders Beach. Judith was warm and helpful storing our luggage after check out and giving us a device so that we could still leave the guesthouse to explore and get some food before our afternoon pick up to the airport. We enjoyed using the Muse Cafe a few metres away, very reasonably priced, outdoor seating area under the banana tree, great coffee, scones and muffins for 2 people only around £6.53 and yesterday evening 2 homemade pies, salad and 2 coffees under £9. Delicious too and we were able to pay using our Revolut card. Chosen for the proximity to the Waterfront, Cruise Terminal and not too far from the airport and for the comfortable, affordable accommodation with friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend wholeheartedly, especially if you don't mind being situated on a busy road, couldn't hear the traffic noise in our room and if you appreciate strong security. We felt very safe stsying here.

The Greenhouse Guesthouse staff was great super friendly and helpful. The location is within walking distance to the Waterfront and Museum, lots of good restaurant options and a supermarket nearby. My one suggestion would be to have the laundry service use non-perfumed detergent. For us chemically sensitive folks, the smell on the sheets, pillowcases and towels was giving me a headache.

Beautiful hotel and convenient location with a lovely staff. I felt like I was at home. The hotels in a safe location so Everything is accessible by foot. The waterfront is a 10-15 minute walk but beware you’ll get deterred on your walk because there’s so much to see on the way. There are various restaurant options up and down the street and one of the best ice cream shops in Cape Town just a 5 minute walk. I wished I could have stayed longer there. The room was more of a cozy apartment. The room was spacious with working television and AC. It also had its own kitchen with skylight. You will have to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the hotel. I did receive assistance to get the luggage’s out on my last day there. Additionally- EMPHASIS on the staff being kind! I had my flight leaving at 9 pm and although I couldn’t keep the room for several more hours before that, the staff kindly offered to hold on to my luggage’s while explored the city. I was even offered to use their general space for down time. I took them up on the luggage and spent a beautiful last day in CPT. I would say my only negative was getting a knock on my door by a staff to take pictures of her with a few others who were guests of the hotel. I thought that was very presumptive, given she would have to assume I’m not busy/sleeping, but also I’m a paying guest, and being disturbed for something like that was inappropriate. Overall, you can’t go completely wrong staying here.
